These people are incredible. From the moment I arrived for the first time I could tell every single person here genuinely cared about these animals. Dr. Steve is an absolutely wonderful human being. He explained everything well and thoroughly and even took the time to answer each of my kids questions with patience, care and respect. Our beloved cat unfortunately ended up passing away but we are so thankful that we were able to give him a chance thanks to Dr. Steve and his team. They made two foam paw print memorials so I have one for each of my kids to remember our sweet cat. I will never take my pets anywhere else after finding them. They were nothing but outstanding human beings to us in our toughest moment. Thank you folks. We won’t forget your kindness.

The core philosophy of Cheyenne Veterinary Wellness & Surgical Center, as eloquently articulated by its clientele, is one of genuine care and unwavering support for animals and their families. This commitment extends through every stage of a pet's life, from routine wellness and complex medical treatments to the most challenging end-of-life decisions. The name itself, "Wellness & Surgical Center," signifies a dual focus: maintaining long-term health through preventive measures and providing expert surgical interventions when necessary. This holistic approach positions them as a trusted partner in the well-being of companion animals, primarily dogs and cats, but likely extending to other small animals as well, common for such comprehensive centers.
The environment at Cheyenne Veterinary Wellness & Surgical Center is consistently praised for its warmth, empathy, and professionalism. Customer reviews paint a vivid picture of a team that is not only highly skilled but also deeply caring. From the moment clients arrive, they sense that "every single person here genuinely cared about these animals." This immediate feeling of welcome and understanding is crucial, especially during stressful times when a pet is ill or injured. The staff's ability to combine medical expertise with profound human kindness creates a comforting atmosphere. This environment is conducive to open communication, allowing pet owners to ask questions and receive thorough, patient explanations, as highlighted by a parent noting Dr. Steve’s patience with their children's inquiries. Even in the face of loss, the clinic’s environment fosters peace and respect, as evidenced by their thoughtful gestures like providing paw print memorials.
Cheyenne Veterinary Wellness & Surgical Center offers a comprehensive range of services and goods, typical of a top-tier "Pet Hospital," designed to address various health needs. These services undoubtedly include:
- Comprehensive Wellness and Preventive Care: This is a foundational aspect, encompassing routine physical examinations, tailored vaccination protocols, and robust parasite prevention programs to maintain optimal health throughout a pet's life.
- Advanced Surgical Services: As indicated by "Surgical Center" in their name, they are equipped to perform a wide array of surgical procedures, likely including both soft tissue surgeries (e.g., mass removals, spays/neuters) and potentially more complex orthopedic surgeries, reflecting expertise in this area.
- Advanced Diagnostics: To accurately diagnose and treat conditions, the center would utilize modern diagnostic tools such as digital radiography (X-rays) for bone and soft tissue imaging, and possibly ultrasound for more detailed internal organ evaluations. In-house laboratory testing would provide rapid results for blood work, urinalysis, and other essential tests.
- Treatment for Complex Medical Conditions: The successful treatment of a rescue dog with severe heartworm and a bad ear infection highlights their capability in managing challenging and chronic medical conditions. This implies a strong grasp of internal medicine and long-term treatment protocols.
- Dental Care: Given their wellness focus, it is highly probable they offer comprehensive dental services, including cleanings, extractions, and preventative oral health care.
- Pain Management: Strategies for alleviating both acute and chronic pain are essential for pet comfort and recovery, especially post-surgery or for chronic conditions.
- Emergency and Urgent Care: While not a 24/7 emergency-only clinic, their role in giving a beloved cat "a chance" suggests they are equipped to handle urgent cases during operational hours, making a significant impact during critical moments.
- End-of-Life Care and Support: A standout feature, as described by a customer, is their compassionate approach during difficult times, including euthanasia. The provision of memorial items like foam paw prints demonstrates extraordinary empathy and support for grieving families.
- Nutritional Counseling and Behavioral Advice: To promote holistic pet health, they would likely offer guidance on proper nutrition and address common behavioral issues.
- Microchipping: Essential for pet identification and safety.
The most compelling features of Cheyenne Veterinary Wellness & Surgical Center lie in the profound compassion and expertise demonstrated by its team. Dr. Steve is singled out as an "absolutely wonderful human being" who explains everything "well and thoroughly," even taking time for children's questions with "patience, care, and respect." This level of personalized, empathetic communication is invaluable, especially when facing difficult health decisions. The staff's collective commitment to genuinely caring for animals is palpable, creating a supportive environment where clients feel heard and their pets feel safe. The dramatic recovery of "Joy," the rescue dog, from severe ailments to "full health" is a powerful testament to the clinic's medical efficacy and dedication. The provision of memorial paw prints is a thoughtful gesture that distinguishes their end-of-life care, providing lasting comfort to grieving families. The sentiment "I will never take my pets anywhere else after finding them" underscores the deep trust and loyalty they inspire.
In terms of promotional information, the most effective advertising for Cheyenne Veterinary Wellness & Surgical Center comes from the authentic and heartfelt testimonials of their clients. These reviews speak volumes about the quality of care and the human connection forged. While specific promotional campaigns are not detailed, a clinic of this caliber would likely maintain an active online presence, including a website and social media, to share information about their services, introduce their team, and showcase their compassionate approach. They might also engage in community outreach, participate in local pet-related events, or partner with animal rescue organizations, further reinforcing their commitment to animal welfare. Information about payment options, including acceptance of pet insurance and potential financing solutions like CareCredit, would also be provided to ensure accessibility for a wider range of pet owners.

Jan 24, 2025 · Cindy GaynardThis place is amazing! My dog is a rescue and was in such rough shape when we got her. She had heartworm, a bad ear infection, and was skin and bones. This clinic was brilliant from start to finish in helping Joy get back on her feet and to full health. She is heartworm free now, Gaines healthy weight, and living her best life!
Feb 07, 2025 · Lauren NehillaMy dog Mia has been going there since she was a puppy! She was a tough cookie and was very loud but she loved going to see Dr Aaron and Chelsei!!! Mia was well known at Cheyennes and we had to put her down on Jan 22nd and it was the hardest decision we ever had to make. Aaron and Chelsei never left our sides and helped us through the full process. As hard as it was they made sure she had some treats and lots of loving before it was time to cross the rainbow bridge. We could not have asked for more as they took amazing care of Mia and also made sure we were ok. I will never go to another vet and highly recommend the practice. Thank you guys again for everything with Mia!
Feb 07, 2025 · Monique FriedmanWe used them for an emergency stray and decided to switch our other cats to this location as well. Staff and Dr are fabulous 💖 Traya 🐈, Karma 🐈, Poet 🐈 appreciate you!
May 14, 2025 · Amber ShieldsThe people here are so nice and helpful. They truly care about your pets and want what is best for them. I've seen Dr. Handke both times I've gone with my pets and I can't say nicer things about him. You can tell he has a passion for science, medicine, and pet care. He is willing to explain complex things to you when you show interest which I greatly appreciate. They also provide a military/veterans discount which I did not expect! Thank you for helping my pets!
