I would rate 0 however they did treat my pup really well when we were there. On Saturday 1/18/25 we woke up in panic not knowing what was wrong with our 5 month old puppy. She was obviously in pain and something was terribly wrong. Our normal vet is out in Yuma and we didn’t think we had that type of time. We decided to make an appointment with chewy due to the immediate appointment. They noticed she was extremely dehydrated and had an ear infection. They treated her with compassion and empathy. BUT, they couldn’t get her vain for blood work so multiple workers stuck my dog over 5 times. Also, instead of looking deeper into her ear to see the membrane was missing they equated her behavior to DISTEMPER!! If you know about dogs and distemper you know there is only a 20% survival rate amount pups. They then told us they wanted to transfer her to VEG for palliative care because all we could do was supportive care. Not only were we crying because we thought our family pup was dying, we also were going to face a 3k-6k vet bill there, on top of the 750$ we spent there. We decided to rush her to Yuma where we trust the people and are more affordable. As it turns out the ear infection was severe enough to cause the side effects. If they had looked to see the missing membrane they would know the drops they prescribed could potentially lead to my dog being deaf. So, a few questions: HOW DO YOU MISDIAGNOSE SOMETHING AS SERIOUS AS DISTEMPER? How do you do that to a family who loves their dog? How do you not look in a patients ear when they have an ear infection? Also,,, is there any type of contract between this location and VEG? I have a membership in order to get my pup fully vaccinated, however I will be switching to the highlands ranch location hoping they are more professional and more vigilant when it comes to patient care. The best vet I’ve ever had. Chewy takes care of the pets the service very well. The staff is kind. The benefits of being a member for your pet are great and you are able to save money. The care is affordable and you truly feel like your pet is in good hands. I take my cat to this Chewy location and will continue to through his lifetime.

The Chewy staff is absolutely amazing. Every staff member treated my pet and I with kindness and concern to make sure both of us had the best experience possible. When my cat had a reaction to his vaccines, not only did they take him back in right away to help, but they also reached out to the vaccine company to make them aware of the issue and personally checked in on us the next day. This is my first pet and Chewy at 9 and Co makes me feel confident I am giving him the best care.

As someone who has been to many vets in many different states, this was by far the best experience I’ve had in 7 years with my dog. The staff was incredibly kind and I felt I had full visibility on the services being recommended and what was absolutely necessary. They gave me several options on what services I could prioritize based on my budget. I came in for an emergency service and they got me in last minute with minimal wait time. It’s been a few days now and my dog is feeling so much better. You can truly tell all of the staff cares about your pet. Overall super happy with my experience and will definitely be coming back!
