It appears that this clinic is permanetely closed. We called last Friday, March 13 to make an appointment for our dog who is a regular patient and their phone was disabled. We drove to their location 29 S 29th St. in Newark and their office is up for rent and is totally empty. No sign on the door saying they moved, nothing. Just a for rent sign. We've been with them for over 10 years but received no notification that they were closing. Hope nothing tragic happened to Dr. Burgin.

Welcome to Cherry Valley Animal Clinic
Welcome to the introduction of Cherry Valley Animal Clinic, a listed entity under the platform category of 'Pet Hospital' serving the local community in Newark, Ohio, USA. This introduction aims to provide potential users with detailed information regarding the clinic, based on available information. Please note that the information presented here is derived from publicly accessible sources, including online reviews, and aims to be an objective representation.
Cherry Valley Animal Clinic was located at 29 S 29th St, Newark, OH 43055, USA. For direct contact, the provided phone numbers were (740) 522-6056 and the mobile number was +1 740-522-6056. These contact details were presumably for scheduling appointments, inquiries about services, and general communication with the clinic.
Based on the platform categorization as a 'Pet Hospital,' it can be inferred that Cherry Valley Animal Clinic likely offered a range of veterinary services aimed at maintaining and improving the health and well-being of pets. Typically, a pet hospital provides facilities for medical examinations, diagnoses, treatments, and potentially surgical procedures for various animal species, commonly cats and dogs. These services often include routine check-ups, vaccinations, dental care, parasite prevention, management of illnesses and injuries, and possibly more specialized treatments depending on the clinic's capabilities and staffing.
Regarding the environment of Cherry Valley Animal Clinic, no specific details are available in the provided information. However, generally, a pet hospital strives to create a clean and comfortable environment for both the animals and their owners. This includes examination rooms where veterinarians can assess the pets, waiting areas for pet owners, and potentially separate areas for different species to minimize stress. Depending on the size and scope of the clinic, there might also be dedicated spaces for surgery, radiology, laboratory work, and housing for animals requiring overnight or extended care.
The features of a veterinary clinic often encompass the expertise of the veterinary staff, the availability of diagnostic equipment, and the range of services offered. Without specific details about Cherry Valley Animal Clinic's features, we can only speculate based on the general expectations of a pet hospital. It is likely that the clinic was staffed by licensed veterinarians and veterinary technicians trained to provide medical care for animals. The presence of diagnostic tools such as X-ray machines or in-house laboratory equipment would have allowed for quicker diagnosis and treatment. A well-equipped pharmacy for dispensing medications would also be a common feature.
Unfortunately, the provided customer reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the recent operational status and past service quality of Cherry Valley Animal Clinic. One review, dated around March 13th, indicates that the clinic appeared to be permanently closed. The reviewer mentioned that the phone line was disabled, and a visit to the listed address revealed an empty office with a "for rent" sign, and no notification of relocation was provided to long-term clients. This suggests a sudden and uncommunicated cessation of services at this location.
Another review presents a serious accusation of negligence and poor practice, alleging that the clinic was responsible for the death of a client's cat. The review details a sequence of events involving misplaced test results, an overdose of fluids during an emergency visit, and a failure to provide medical records to a new veterinary clinic. This review expresses significant dissatisfaction and strongly advises other pet owners to seek veterinary care elsewhere.
Based on this information, particularly the recent review indicating permanent closure and the earlier, highly critical review regarding patient care, it is challenging to provide positive promotional information for Cherry Valley Animal Clinic at this time. The evidence suggests significant issues with the clinic's operations and service quality. Potential local users should be aware of these reported issues.
Given the conflicting information – the categorization as a 'Pet Hospital' implying healthcare services versus the recent indication of closure and the negative past experiences – it is crucial for anyone seeking veterinary care in the Newark, OH area to verify the current operational status of Cherry Valley Animal Clinic and consider the feedback provided by previous clients. It would be prudent to explore alternative veterinary clinics in the locality to ensure the well-being of their pets.
This introduction is based on the information available as of the time of this response and aims to provide an objective overview. The recent indication of permanent closure significantly impacts the relevance of any information regarding its services, environment, or features. Local users are advised to conduct thorough research and seek up-to-date information before making decisions about their pet's healthcare.

Mar 16, 2020 · Rab BrockThey killled our cat, who was only 9. After they misplaced/lost thyroid test results, this vet overdosed him on fluids during an ensuing emergency visit and sent him home with us instead of to a pet hospital. He died horribly/painfully. We switched vets, and they could not even manage to find/send records to our new clinic after several requests. This is a poor excuse for a veterinary operation. If you love your pet, please go elsewhere. (Client from 2015-2017)
Feb 09, 2018 · Mark MerzDr. Burgin and her staff are amazing! She has been our Vet for 20 years and 5 animals. The love an compassion she and her staff show is amazing! Your not a number your a person and your pet is their pet.
May 30, 2017 · Jennifer RoweNot knowing this clinic moved locations, the old address is still the same online and I ended up driving to the old location. When I call to find out the new location, they said they knew the old address had not been changed and that it automatically changes when you put it in the gps. Ummm, no, that’s not how a gps works. The receptionist is EXTREMELY rude and I personally would never go to a place where they’re so arrogant that when they’re wrong they can’t admit it and be rude on top of it.
Jan 22, 2020 · J. W.This clinic is probably closed permanently. We tried to call and ask for our cats records but the line didn't work, the office space is being used by a different company. We had no notification that they were closed which is not very professional. If you are looking for this clinic don't bother.
