My neighbor and I have been caring for a family of abandoned cats for several years, they started as the momma cat, her sister and momma cat's 2 sons. They were all adults when they came to live at our 2 properties. Momma cat wound up getting mouth cancer after being with us for a long while, so she passed, one son died and we suspect he was poisoned somehow. So for the past 5 years it's been the sister of momma and the other son. All of a sudden sister started sleeping more and eating less. Then one day she refused food and could barely walk. We brought the kitty here for an opinion, this is my neighbor's vet. The vet told us she was a very sick kitty with a lump near her bladder. Every one in the office was so compassionate and helped us make a very difficult decision. Our little kitty passed peacefully. I take my cats to a cat only vet but they are very far away. I think I'll be transferring my cats care to this office.

Jan 12, 2025 · DonnaI have been bringing my cats to Dr. Ruiz for the past 10 years. She was recommended to me when I moved to the downtown area, and I have stuck with her since, even though I live in Scottsdale now. It is worth the drive! She is a wonderful vet, has reasonable prices, and I never have to wait more than a few minutes for my appointments. Dr. Ruiz is very knowledgeable, is great with animals, and only recommends doing what is necessary to keep my pets healthy without running excessive and expensive tests and treatments. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a vet.
Oct 04, 2024 · Paige MeredithI have seen many vets in my life, since I started going to this vet about 8 years ago who was able to diagnose one of my dogs that they were having a food allergy which was causing the ear infections for the whole previous 5 years of their life in and out of vets, and this vet was able to diagnose it and fix the problem just from one little office visit. One time my dog had gotten into a fight with my other dogs and she stapled one of the cuts The staple had come open so I was wanting to bring him back in and this vet had me send her a picture before driving all the way there and spending money and she let me know that it wasn't affected and it was fine what vet would ever do that, I will tell you somebody that truly does it because they love animals and it's not all about the money. Today I had to make one of the hardest decisions in my life and put my dog down and of course I wouldn't go to anybody else but this vet and the way they treated me and my daughter they're kind souls not trying to penny pinch everything just left me in such a great appreciation for them that everybody needs to know what amazing vet this person is. Thank you to the whole vet staff there you guys are all super amazing and the very best that what you do
Oct 04, 2024 · Kim AugustJust had the most awful experience with the receptionist who honestly made me cry when I got off the call. I inquired about my cat and having diarrhea, I informed them that he takes prescription food. Her response was that she was making an expecting, that they’re not accepting new patients and that she must have the records. I don’t know where I got his script from because it was years ago. Here I am trying to search my email while on the phone with her. Repeating to me how adamant it is that they have the records. Read her everything off my script card and she again start to speak harsher and I was getting a bit upset at the fact she was starting to be short with me. I’m simply responding that in searching through my email trying to find it. Her response was that I needed to stop yelling at her and that she can provide me with a list of clinics to call to try and find my cats records. I hung up at that point bc I was crying. She treated me awful when I’m already dealing with my cat being unwell. Even if your price was affordable you are awful
