Based on the available customer feedback, the environment at Central Monmouth Animal Hospital appears to be supported by a dedicated and efficient staff. One reviewer consistently praises the "amazing staff," including individuals named Sky and other technicians, as well as the front desk team, for their role in ensuring smooth operations. This positive feedback suggests a well-organized and supportive atmosphere within the hospital, where the team works collaboratively to assist pet owners and their animals. The ability to secure prompt appointments, especially when a pet is experiencing health issues, is also highlighted as a significant positive aspect of their service.

Dr. Neil Bloom is specifically mentioned as an "amazing veterinarian" by a satisfied client who expresses gratitude for having him and his team on their side. This suggests that Dr. Bloom is a highly regarded professional who inspires confidence in his clients. However, another review presents a contrasting perspective, detailing a negative experience with another veterinarian at the practice, Dr. Cavalieri. This review raises concerns about a perceived lack of compassion, issues with communication regarding test results, and a hands-off approach during examination. The reviewer also noted a discrepancy in diagnosis compared to a different veterinary practice. While Dr. Bloom himself is described as nice, the difficulty in securing an appointment with him is mentioned as a potential drawback.

Given the mixed feedback, it is important to consider both the positive experiences with Dr. Bloom and the staff, and the negative experience reported with another veterinarian at the hospital. Potential clients may wish to inquire specifically about which veterinarian will be attending to their pet and express any preferences they might have based on this feedback.

  • General Veterinary Care: This likely includes routine check-ups, wellness examinations, and preventative care to maintain your pet's health.
  • Urgent Care and Sick Visits: The positive review highlights the hospital's responsiveness in scheduling appointments for pets with immediate health concerns.
  • Diagnostic Services: The mention of bloodwork indicates that the hospital offers laboratory services to aid in the diagnosis of medical conditions.

  • Potential for Surgical Procedures: While not explicitly mentioned, most animal hospitals offer some level of surgical services, ranging from routine to more specialized procedures, depending on the facility and the expertise of the veterinarians. It would be advisable to inquire directly about the scope of surgical services offered.

The negative review mentions a lack of thorough physical examination by one veterinarian, which included not listening to the dog's heart and lungs or palpating the animal. This serves as a reminder for pet owners to be attentive to the examination process and to voice any concerns they may have about the care their pet is receiving.

Dr Cavalieri is horrible. I ended up taking my dog elsewhere because he did not show any compassion at all. I was told by 3 different people to call the next day for my dogs bloodwork. I did and he literally got on the phone and asked me “why are you calling- we didn’t tell you the bloodwork was in!” Then proceeded to tell me he DID in fact have the bloodwork I was looking for and went over it quickly and like he couldn’t care less what he was telling me. Upon going to a new vet they welcomed my dog and I with open arms and listened to his heart and lungs and touched him all over including using a stethoscope to make sure everything sounded good. The doctor at this practice never even touched my dog. Not to mention my dog has small ears and upon visiting the other vet they told me he had a hematoma which is why my dogs ears are a little deformed. The one time I saw Dr Bloom he was nice but he is impossible to get an appointment with and the other vet ruined it for me as he has no bedside manner. I recommend going somewhere where the whole staff is exceptional.

So thankful to have found Dr. Bloom! He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and made us feel instantly at ease. He spent time addressing all my questions and his passion for animals was evident from the start. The best experience we ever had with a vet!

Central Monmouth Animal Hospital is wonderful! I have taken all 4 of my dogs there since we moved to the area and I have always had a very positive experience, even when my dog’s medical situation was challenging and upsetting. Dr. Cavalieri has successfully performed 2 difficult surgeries on my 2 senior dogs, restoring them both to incredible levels of wellbeing that I was not sure could be possible. Dr. Bloom and Dr. Cavalieri are also so fair in their pricing for services. I literally paid 10 times the amount I was charged here when I took my dog to an emergency hospital for a similar surgical procedure because I had no other option. The entire team at Central Monmouth Animal Hospital is so compassionate and caring. I visit them weekly at this point because my 2 seniors have needed a lot of veterinary care, and everyone is always so helpful and friendly. It’s just a wonderful place with competent professionals. A perfect place to get the medical care your pet deserves! I give them my highest recommendation! Thank you for taking such excellent care of Brice (rest in peace), Sweet Pea, Beans and Frank! Best veterinary team!!

LOVE THEM !!! Their front desk , assistants , Dr. Cavalier was so reassuring & communication was spot on & his honesty was if it was his own dog ! I can’t say enough ! I went there from a reference because my vet prices were a little steep for my pockets , saying that I was nervous.. I will NOW be a new client there !! And my other dog also ! They also went beyond to find out who referred me (I had her married name ) because they were giving her a $25 credit for the referral … THE BEST so glad I found them
