I just simply went in to have my pet bearded dragon’s nails clipped and the tech accidentally cut Spyro’s nail a little to close so I called central animal hospital in carbondale and they told me to bring her back and the would put some medicine on it to get her claw to stop bleeding and they apologized for that happening to her they made everything right and they genuinely care about the animals they tend to and take care of, they even sent me home with some meds for her in case it started to bleed again and to cut down on the possibility of infection. 10 out or 10 would definitely recommend to anyone with animals. They are amazing.

The other night after our evening walk my little dog, Jackie must have eaten something off the ground and a few hours later began vomiting at both ends. He could hardly walk and I have no idea what he got into. I called several clinics and was told they had no openings even after I told them he was dying (where is the compassion)? I called Central Hospital for Animals at Carbondale and Dr Cook told us to bring him in. They checked Jackie out and called their hospital in Herrin to tell them we were on our way. Everyone was so nice and compassionate. They kept us informed as to his condition and let us visit with him. Jackie is his old self again. I highly recommend Central Hospital for Animals. Thanks Y'all!

Several weeks ago we took our cat here for suspected tooth pain, he had already lost one tooth to resorption and we wanted to be on top of it. After examination he was diagnosed with a broken tooth and scheduled a few weeks out for a removal. They even put him on antibiotics to prep for the removal. The day of the surgery we signed papers for sedation and were quoted roughly $400 for the removal procedure. Six hours later we arrived to pick him up and, after paying for the procedure, we were given the paperwork that stated he was only given a cleaning. I asked why his tooth, which had been diagnosed as broken and it's removal being the entire point of this visit, wasn't removed. They said it was in fact NOT broken, but inflamed. They gave me a steroid for the inflammation and that was it. So, they either misdiagnosed him the first time, leading to an unnecessary sedation. Or they simply did not perform the procedure, yet charged the total amount. It feels like they are simply setting him up for requiring additional sedation and procedures in the future instead of simply handling it now. Why the misdiagnosis? Why charge for a tooth removal when all they did was give him a cleaning? Why not contact us and explain the situation before going through with the procedure?

I always appreciate how thorough Dr Talley is during our visits. She makes sure to recommend all options available instead of instantly going with the most expensive option. She even provides handouts/information on different options she suggests for us to take with us to review. You can tell she truly cares about helping our dogs.
