I took my kitten to them on Saturday cause she wasn't feeling well. He felt her stomach, looked in her mouth, and looked at her eyes. He said there is nothing wrong with her, I told him she would just sleep all day. He said she is up and walking around her, maybe she is just playing possum at home. What a crock! He didn't do any blood test or anything else cause he said she was fine. He gave her an antibiotic and sent me on my way. Had to pay for an emergency visit cause it was after hours. They called me Monday morning to see how she was and I said not good. He then said I could bring her back in for blood test, at this point they were not getting any more money from me! I took her to a different vet, right off they did a blood test. Come to find out she has feline leukemia. They gave me a different antibiotic for her, put something in her ears for getting her appetite back. Brought her back home she was up and running around. Called Central back and told them I was very upset, told them I would not be back! Decided to call and talk to the owner on Tuesday, which happened to be the same person that said there was nothing wrong with my kitten. I told him I should get my money back, at which time he said I refused any tests. I took her in previously for a wellness check, we had to because we got her from the Humane Society. There was nothing wrong with her then, so yes I did refuse any blood work. Saturday he didn't do blood work nor did he mention it. He still insisted my cat was fine. Told him I was giving them a bad review, he said "I will sue you until you can't walk". I will NEVER take any pet of mine there again!

Welcome to Central Animal Hospital
Welcome to the introduction of Central Animal Hospital, a dedicated pet hospital serving the local community in Singapore. As a vital resource for pet owners, Central Animal Hospital, categorized under Pet Hospitals, offers a range of services and products aimed at ensuring the health and happiness of your beloved animal companions. While the provided information originates from a specific location in the USA, this introduction aims to highlight the typical offerings and considerations one might expect from a reputable pet hospital in Singapore, drawing parallels and extrapolating relevant aspects for local users.
Imagine a welcoming and comfortable environment where your pet feels safe and cared for. A typical pet hospital in Singapore strives to create such a space, understanding that visits to the vet can be stressful for animals. Central Animal Hospital, as a representative of this category, would ideally feature clean and well-maintained examination rooms, comfortable waiting areas, and potentially specialized spaces for different types of animals to minimize stress. The ambiance would be professional yet reassuring, with friendly staff dedicated to making both you and your pet feel at ease.
The cornerstone of any pet hospital is the range of services it provides. In Singapore, a comprehensive pet hospital like Central Animal Hospital would typically offer a wide array of medical, surgical, and preventative care services. These often include routine check-ups and vaccinations, crucial for maintaining your pet's long-term health and preventing common diseases. Diagnostic services, such as blood tests, urine analysis, X-rays, and ultrasounds, are essential for accurately identifying health issues. Surgical services can range from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex operations addressing various medical conditions.
Dental care is another vital aspect of pet health often provided by pet hospitals. This includes routine dental cleanings to prevent tartar buildup and periodontal disease, as well as more advanced dental procedures if needed. Furthermore, many pet hospitals offer microchipping services for permanent identification, which is crucial for reuniting lost pets with their owners.
In addition to these core medical services, a modern pet hospital in Singapore might also offer specialized services. These could include dermatology for skin conditions, cardiology for heart issues, ophthalmology for eye problems, and internal medicine for complex illnesses. Some hospitals may also have on-site pharmacies to provide convenient access to prescribed medications and nutritional supplements.
One of the key features of a reputable pet hospital is its team of qualified and compassionate veterinary professionals. This includes licensed veterinarians with expertise in various aspects of animal health, as well as skilled veterinary technicians and support staff. Their dedication to animal welfare and their ability to communicate effectively with pet owners are crucial for building trust and providing excellent care. Continuing education and staying updated with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine are also hallmarks of a quality pet hospital.
Considering the provided reviews, it's important for pet owners in Singapore to be discerning when choosing a veterinary care provider. The negative review highlights the critical importance of thorough diagnostics and clear communication between the veterinarian and the pet owner. A responsible pet hospital in Singapore would prioritize comprehensive examinations and utilize appropriate diagnostic tools when necessary to accurately assess a pet's condition. Open and honest communication about the diagnosis, treatment options, and associated costs is also paramount.
On the other hand, the positive review emphasizes the value of a friendly and caring staff, convenient operating hours, and satisfactory services at reasonable prices. These are all important factors for pet owners in Singapore when selecting a pet hospital that meets their needs and provides a positive experience for both them and their pets.
While specific promotional information for Central Animal Hospital in the USA is not provided, pet hospitals in Singapore often offer various promotions to attract new clients and encourage preventative care. These might include discounts on initial consultations, vaccination packages, or special offers during certain times of the year. It's always advisable for pet owners in Singapore to inquire about any available promotions when contacting a pet hospital.
In conclusion, when looking for a "Pet Hospital" in Singapore, consider facilities that offer a comfortable environment, a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and preventative services, and a team of qualified and compassionate professionals. Prioritize clear communication, thorough diagnostics, and a commitment to the well-being of your pet. While the specific experiences at Central Animal Hospital in the USA offer valuable lessons in terms of the importance of thorough care and communication, pet owners in Singapore should seek out local veterinary hospitals that embody the positive aspects of quality pet care and address any potential concerns proactively.

Mar 08, 2025 路 MWe've been going here for a very long time. Today we had to put down our beloved Stormy. On monday we called and they got us in to check what was wrong on tuesday. The ultrasound vet wasn't there until today, but we had to make the decision to set her free as it showed she had cancer. Stormy spent her last minutes looking directly at me and the doctors and vet techs were so supportive and understanding. Really don't understand the negative reviews. They are so honest and caring.
Mar 22, 2024 路 AspenI have been going to Central Animal for over 12 years with now 5 German Shepherds. It is very expensive, like many things in this world now. But, I appreciate the vets knowing their limitations and being honest about them. With certain things (hip/elbow x-rays for certification and breeding-related things), I go to a different vet in Madison. Kim is wonderful with my dogs (some vets are terrified and refuse to work with Shepherds or big breeds). Kim is always thorough and compassionate, takes time to examine my dogs, and spends time talking to me about my concerns. She is so wonderful.
Feb 23, 2024 路 Christina HoltzWe are having difficulties registering our cats with the city because the office refuses to verify that they are neutered because the operation wasn't preformed there. They have had multiple appointments here, how is it not documented on the their health history? Ridiculous.
