If I could give a 0 star review, I would. We had taken my dog to the Cedar Grove vet multiple times within the last couple months because he wasn’t acting like himself. He wasn’t eating & they said it was the weather. Fast forward to this past Saturday, we called again for him not eating & still not acting like himself and they asked for a stool sample & said he was perfectly healthy, there wasn’t any further testing that they could do currently & that the earliest they could fit him in was Monday. That same night we rushed our beautiful dog to the ER vet because he wasn’t like himself at all…not excited for a walk and STILL wasn’t eating then collapsed trying to stand himself up…just to find out he had a tumor in his abdomen and free fluid. We said goodbye to our fur baby on Saturday night because he was bleeding out internally and didn’t want him to suffer any longer. I do not recommend this vet at all.

Welcome to Cedar Grove Veterinary Services

Welcome to the introduction of Cedar Grove Veterinary Services, a Pet Hospital located at 23 Co Rd R R, Cedar Grove, WI 53013, USA. Serving the Cedar Grove area, this veterinary practice can be reached by phone at (920) 668-6212 or via mobile at +1 920-668-6212. As a local Pet Hospital, Cedar Grove Veterinary Services is expected to provide a range of medical services and potentially offer related goods for the health and well-being of your pets.

To provide a balanced understanding of Cedar Grove Veterinary Services, it's important to consider the experiences shared by their clients. The available reviews present a mixed picture, with some expressing significant dissatisfaction while others acknowledge positive aspects alongside areas for potential improvement.

One customer shared a deeply upsetting experience where their dog, exhibiting symptoms like not eating and lethargy over several months, was allegedly told it was due to the weather. Despite multiple visits, the underlying issue was not identified. When the dog's condition worsened, and they sought emergency care, it was discovered the dog had a tumor and internal bleeding, leading to the pet's passing. This reviewer strongly advises against using Cedar Grove Veterinary Services.

Another review indicates inconsistency in service quality, stating, "It depends on each visit, but the most recent visit I had wasn't the best." This suggests that the experience can vary for different pet owners or across different appointments.

In contrast, a customer who had taken their family's animals there for years reported "really good experiences." However, this positive sentiment is tempered by a specific concern regarding one of the veterinarians. This reviewer found a particular vet to be "more condescending" in their communication. An example provided was when the pet owner expressed caution about cutting their cat's nails due to the cat's discomfort. The vet allegedly made a dismissive remark. While this customer appreciated that their cat received the necessary care and found the front desk staff understanding, they emphasized the importance of respectful communication with clients and mentioned switching vets partly due to this issue.

Based on these reviews, the environment and services at Cedar Grove Veterinary Services, as perceived by clients, have both positive and negative aspects. On the positive side, the fact that some clients have returned for years suggests that they do offer a range of standard veterinary services. The mention of a cat receiving necessary care indicates that they provide medical treatments and procedures. The understanding nature of the front desk staff is also a noted positive.

However, the negative feedback raises concerns about diagnostic thoroughness, communication styles of at least one veterinarian, and overall consistency of care. The first review is particularly critical, alleging a failure to diagnose a serious condition despite repeated visits. The second review points to a recent unsatisfactory experience, and the third highlights issues with condescending communication from a vet.

As a Pet Hospital, Cedar Grove Veterinary Services would typically offer a variety of services, which, based on the limited positive inferences from the reviews, might include:

  • General check-ups and wellness exams.
  • Vaccinations.
  • Treatment of illnesses and injuries.
  • Potentially surgical procedures (though not explicitly mentioned).
  • Nail trims and other basic animal care tasks.

However, the negative reviews suggest potential shortcomings in the execution or quality of these services in certain instances.

Features of Cedar Grove Veterinary Services, as perceived through the reviews, are somewhat mixed. A potential positive feature is the presence of caring support staff, as indicated by the positive comment about the front desk. However, a concerning feature appears to be the communication style of at least one veterinarian, described as condescending. Another potential issue raised is the thoroughness of diagnoses in some cases.

There is no promotional information available in the provided text. Pet hospitals often have promotions for new clients, specific services, or during certain times of the year. Without this information in the reviews, we cannot comment on any current promotions offered by Cedar Grove Veterinary Services.

In conclusion, Cedar Grove Veterinary Services is a Pet Hospital in Cedar Grove, WI, that has received varied feedback from its clients. While some customers have had positive experiences over the years, recent reviews highlight significant concerns regarding diagnostic accuracy in at least one critical case and issues with the communication style of a veterinarian. Potential clients should consider these experiences when deciding on their pet's veterinary care and may wish to seek further information or consider these points when interacting with the clinic.

It depends on each visit, but the most recent visit I had wasn't the best. I've taken my family's animals there throughout the years and have really good experiences. Unfortunately, there's one vet doctor I've remembered to be more condescending in how they speak and look when addressing issues. So, when I mentioned a couple of things I was weary of doing myself because my cat is very obviously bothered and pulls away with certain things (cutting nails), and that I didn't want to hurt him. The vet made made an unnecessary remark, like does cutting your nails hurt you. For me, I'm not going to pull away or anything when I'm doing it, so the attitude was something I didn't care for. It was weird that the vet said that among other things, but they needed assistance so my cat wouldn't pull away or jerk in a way that would cause pain. The thing that I was grateful for was my cat receiving the care he needed as well as the lady at the front desk being understanding to a more personal situation. I do want to say though, it matters how you speak to your clients, as I have had experience in customer service, because assuming things or just making condescending remarks turns people away. I'm switching vets soon because of the commute being a major factor, but also glad I will not have to hear the vet doctor I had anymore.

I had something going on with my entire herd of goats. I called the vet and they were able to come out the next day, because of the urgency (yay)! I loved the way she explained everything to me and answered all of the questions I had. And the fact that it was 0 degrees outside and she was able to look at and treat all 10 goats. I will recommend this vet to everyone and will definitely be using them for future services! I am so happy for my herd and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for them.

Typically I have a good experience, but when I went in for my special cat food, I was treated with an attitude. It doesn't take much to be nice, so when I said, "I think there's a 10% discount," it was a guess. I was not expecting the response to get a laugh and remark of, "It's not 10% off I can tell you that." I spend all day helping people, this was a surprising response to something so miniscule. Not good customer service, very disappointed

These folks are great. They have a wide range of veterinary offerings they take care of everything from our kittens to our potbelly pigs, and even our reindeer. Would recommend them highly.
