Years ago my 11 y/o maltipoo had a small cist behind his ear that exploded. We made an appointment to have it removed. Funny part was that AFTER my senior dog was already under anesthesia the vet calls to say the cist has fully exploded, there's nothing left to remove. You'd think the vet would have noticed it was gone before putting him under but no. No one even looked at my dog. Fast forward a few years to this month. He has a small skin tag in his paw pad that has been irritating him to the point where he has an infection and his paw has to be soaked in sailing. We were fine to do this easy treatment at home. But the vet calls and says they will soak his paw for free so my father brings him in and leaves him there for hours and when it's time to pick him up they tried charging my father $160!! After saying it was freem after calling us to come in. Just to soak a foot in salt water for 15 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not waste your time or $ with this vet!

As a dedicated pet hospital, Middle Country Animal Hospital likely provides a range of services essential for maintaining the health and well-being of pets. These services typically encompass preventative care, diagnostics, treatment of illnesses and injuries, and potentially surgical procedures. Preventative care is a cornerstone of any good veterinary practice, focusing on keeping pets healthy through regular check-ups, vaccinations, parasite control (including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention), and nutritional counseling. These routine visits allow veterinarians to detect potential health issues early, leading to more effective treatment and better long-term health outcomes for pets.
For diagnosing various health conditions, a pet hospital like Middle Country Animal Hospital would likely be equipped with essential diagnostic tools. This might include in-house laboratory services for blood tests, urine analysis, and fecal examinations, enabling quick assessment of a pet's internal health. Imaging technologies such as X-ray and potentially ultrasound could also be available to visualize internal structures and aid in the diagnosis of musculoskeletal problems, organ abnormalities, and other conditions. These diagnostic capabilities are crucial for accurately identifying the cause of a pet's illness and formulating an appropriate treatment plan.
In terms of treatment, the hospital would offer medical management for a wide array of diseases and conditions. This could involve prescribing medications, administering fluids and supportive care, and providing ongoing management for chronic illnesses such as diabetes, arthritis, and kidney disease. The expertise of Dr. Cavallo Kerrie Moll, D.V.M., would be central to providing these medical and surgical interventions.
Beyond medical services, the environment of a pet hospital plays a significant role in the comfort and well-being of both pets and their owners. Nov 22, 2022 · Nicole CairoI had an appointment for my 80lb dog. We drove up in the pouring rain. It was about 40-50 degrees. It was windy. We reached the front of the vets door. There were 2 people and a staff member doing something at the desk. We ran up to the door and pulled on it. It was locked. Everyone in the vet looked at us and turned around and ignored us. I rang the door bell. Everyone turned and looked at us freezing with this giant dog crying with her infected ears which is what the appointment was for. I was baffled beyond belief as to why we were being ignored by 3 cruel people. I took my key fob and tapped on the door gently. Again-all 3 rotten people smirked and talked amongst themselves while we were wet and cold AND EXTREMELY SAD AND EMBARRASSED LIKE WE WERE NOT WELCOME. I don’t care if there was an earthquake going on, treatment and behavior like that does not come from a caring veterinarian’s office. We love our pets. You are not some supreme beings. You are supposed to be dedicated to the health and well being of pets Entrusted to your care. I’ve lived in Selden for 22 years. I will never speak kindly of this vet or the staff member that was there 03/12/2022 at 1010am.
