After decades of my family using the services of the hospital it’s gone from a reliable source of caring individuals toa hit and miss organization. Many of the Vets, assistants and front office staff are wonderful, but some are completely misplaced caring for animals or working with their owners. If you are lucky to get the former, your pet will thrive, if not, get a second opinion!

Welcome to Catoosa Small Animal Hospital: Shoup Bob DVM
Welcome to Catoosa Small Animal Hospital, located at 1901 OK-66, Catoosa, OK 74015, USA, and led by Shoup Bob DVM. As a Pet Hospital serving the Catoosa community, we aim to provide veterinary care for your small animals. The feedback from our clients presents a somewhat mixed picture, which we will address objectively to provide local users with a balanced understanding of what to expect.
One long-term client, whose family has used the services of Catoosa Small Animal Hospital for decades, shared a nuanced perspective. They noted a shift over time, stating that the hospital has "gone from a reliable source of caring individuals to a hit and miss organization." This review highlights a potential inconsistency in the quality of care or the client experience. The reviewer acknowledges that "many of the Vets, assistants and front office staff are wonderful," which is a positive aspect indicating that a significant portion of the team is perceived as caring and competent. However, they also express concern that "some are completely misplaced caring for animals or working with their owners." This is a serious point that potential clients should be aware of, suggesting that the level of care and client interaction may vary depending on the specific staff member encountered.
The long-term client concludes their review with a conditional recommendation: "If you are lucky to get the former, your pet will thrive, if not, get a second opinion!" This advice is crucial for local users considering Catoosa Small Animal Hospital. It suggests that while positive experiences are possible, there is also a risk of encountering staff who may not provide the expected level of care or client service. Therefore, it would be prudent for pet owners to remain attentive to their pet's treatment and to seek a second opinion if they have any concerns about the care being provided.
In contrast, a more recent and concise review offers a straightforward positive assessment: "Great place! Very caring with your pets." This feedback aligns with the positive aspects mentioned in the longer review, indicating that many clients do indeed find the hospital to be caring and a "great place" for their pets' veterinary needs. This suggests that a positive experience is certainly possible at Catoosa Small Animal Hospital.
Considering these contrasting viewpoints, it is challenging to definitively describe the environment, services, and features of Catoosa Small Animal Hospital based solely on consistent positive feedback. The environment may vary depending on the specific area of the hospital and the staff on duty. Similarly, the quality of services might be perceived differently based on individual experiences with different members of the team.
However, we can infer that Catoosa Small Animal Hospital, as a "Small Animal Hospital," likely offers a range of general veterinary services for common household pets such as dogs and cats. These services typically include routine wellness examinations, vaccinations, treatment for illnesses and injuries, basic surgical procedures, dental care, and preventative care such as parasite control. Given that the practice has served the community for decades, it likely has the necessary facilities and equipment to provide these standard veterinary services. However, the variability in staff quality mentioned in the first review might impact the delivery and perceived effectiveness of these services.
Features of Catoosa Small Animal Hospital that can be gleaned from the reviews include the presence of both "wonderful" and potentially less suitable staff members. The long history of service to the community suggests a degree of established presence and familiarity within Catoosa. However, the critical feedback regarding inconsistency is a significant factor that potential clients should consider.
No specific promotional information is available in the provided reviews. Local users would need to contact the hospital directly at (918) 266-4090 or +1 918-266-4090 to inquire about any current promotions, wellness plans, or specific service offerings.
Given the mixed feedback, local users considering Catoosa Small Animal Hospital may want to inquire specifically about the following when contacting the clinic:
- The qualifications and experience of the veterinarians and the support staff.
- The range of veterinary services offered for small animals.
- The clinic's operating hours and appointment procedures.
- Policies on seeking second opinions or transferring records if desired.
- Any measures in place to ensure consistent quality of care across all staff members.
- Information about their approach to communication and client service.
In conclusion, Catoosa Small Animal Hospital: Shoup Bob DVM in Catoosa, Oklahoma, presents a complex picture based on the available reviews. While some clients have found the hospital to be a "great place" with "very caring" staff, a long-term client has expressed concerns about inconsistency in the quality of care and client service, recommending that pet owners seek a second opinion if they have any doubts. Local users should be aware of these contrasting experiences and may wish to proceed with caution, ensuring they feel comfortable with the care their pet is receiving and not hesitating to seek additional veterinary advice if needed. Contacting the hospital directly for more information and perhaps speaking with multiple staff members might provide a better sense of the current environment and services offered.
