Excellent, pet-centered care. Vet was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and obviously stays up to date. She listened closely to my concerns, was honest and forthcoming about treatment options and their associated pros and cons, and was understanding about my financial constraints. You can trust that this is an experienced vet who genuinely loves cats and cares about their well-being, while also being practical and understanding of owners' limitations. She gave me information and advice that my previous vet - at a large retail chain - either didn't know or didn't share (probably so they could charge me more). I was even given free samples of medication for my cat to try - a first, for sure! My only criticism is that there was a slight surprise on my bill, but it was comparable to what I've experienced being tacked on at other local vets, and the total was still competitive, so I didn't deduct a star in my rating.

At CatCare, we pride ourselves on creating a calm and stress-free environment tailored specifically for cats. We understand that visiting a veterinary clinic can be an anxiety-inducing experience for many felines. Therefore, our clinic is designed with a quiet and comfortable waiting area, separate examination rooms to minimize interaction with other animals, and specialized equipment scaled appropriately for cats. Our goal is to make each visit as pleasant and stress-free as possible for both you and your cat.

Our team at CatCare is led by highly skilled and compassionate veterinarians who possess a deep understanding of feline health and behavior. They are dedicated to staying abreast of the latest advancements in veterinary medicine to provide your cat with the most effective and up-to-date treatments. Our veterinarians take the time to listen attentively to your concerns, conduct thorough examinations, and explain all treatment options clearly and honestly, including their potential benefits and drawbacks. We believe in a collaborative approach to care, ensuring that you are fully informed and involved in making decisions about your cat's health.

CatCare offers a comprehensive suite of veterinary services to address all your cat's healthcare needs. These services include:

Preventative Care: We strongly believe that proactive care is essential for maintaining your cat's long-term health and well-being. Our preventative care services include routine wellness examinations, tailored vaccination protocols based on your cat's lifestyle and risk factors, parasite prevention (including fleas, ticks, and worms), nutritional counseling to ensure a balanced diet, and dental care recommendations to maintain optimal oral health.

Diagnostic Services: CatCare is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools to accurately assess your cat's health. These include in-house laboratory services for rapid blood tests, urine analysis, and fecal examinations. We also offer digital radiography (X-rays) and ultrasound imaging to visualize internal organs and tissues, aiding in the diagnosis of various medical conditions.

Medical Care: Our experienced veterinarians are proficient in diagnosing and treating a wide range of feline medical conditions, including respiratory illnesses, gastrointestinal issues, urinary tract problems, endocrine disorders, dermatological conditions, and infectious diseases. We develop individualized treatment plans tailored to your cat's specific needs, utilizing the latest medical advancements and evidence-based practices.

Surgical Services: CatCare provides a range of surgical procedures, from routine surgeries such as spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries. Our surgical suite is equipped with modern anesthetic monitoring equipment to ensure your cat's safety and comfort throughout the procedure. Our skilled surgeons adhere to the highest standards of surgical care.

Dental Care: Dental health is crucial for your cat's overall well-being. CatCare offers comprehensive dental services, including routine dental cleanings under anesthesia, dental examinations, and treatment of dental diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis. We also provide guidance on at-home dental care to help maintain your cat's oral hygiene.

Senior Cat Care: As cats age, their healthcare needs change. CatCare offers specialized senior cat wellness programs designed to address the unique health concerns of older felines. These programs include more frequent check-ups, comprehensive health screenings, and management of age-related conditions such as arthritis, kidney disease, and cognitive dysfunction.

End-of-Life Care: We understand that saying goodbye to a beloved pet is a difficult time. At CatCare, we provide compassionate and dignified end-of-life care, including euthanasia services. Our team will guide you through the process with sensitivity and respect, ensuring your cat's comfort and peace. We also offer grief support resources to help you cope with your loss.

What sets CatCare apart is our unwavering commitment to providing pet-centered care. Our team genuinely loves cats and is dedicated to their well-being. We strive to build strong relationships with both our feline patients and their owners, fostering trust and open communication. We believe in being transparent about treatment options and associated costs, ensuring there are no unexpected surprises.

Based on feedback from cat owners, CatCare is recognized for its knowledgeable and friendly veterinarians who stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in feline medicine. They are praised for their ability to listen attentively to owners' concerns, provide honest and forthcoming information about treatment options, and demonstrate understanding regarding financial constraints. Clients appreciate the thorough explanations and practical advice received, often highlighting the difference in the level of care compared to larger, more commercially focused veterinary practices.

The compassion and empathy shown during difficult times, such as end-of-life care, have also been consistently commended. Cat owners have expressed gratitude for the dignity, kindness, and respect shown to their beloved pets during these sensitive moments.

While one past client noted a slight surprise on their bill, they also acknowledged that the total cost remained competitive with other local veterinary clinics and did not detract from their overall positive experience and rating. This reinforces CatCare's commitment to providing high-quality care at reasonable prices.

My children and I had to walk our beloved cat, Ted, up to the rainbow bridge yesterday. Dr. Shea took us through the whole process with dignity and kindess and respect. She allowed us to say goodbye in the way that Ted deserved. I will always be grateful to her, and will bring my new fur babies here in the future.

The staff here are professional, attentive, and highly knowledgeable. My boy, Dino, is 12 years old and suffers from allergies, amongst other conditions. Prior to relocating to Eugene, Dino was a patient of a cat specialist in SoCal (who was also wonderful). In Eugene, we originally were seeing another veterinarian in town, but I felt he needed better care from a clinic that focused specifically on feline care. While it did take a few weeks to book an appointment, the wait was beyond worth it. Dr. Patricia Shea spent a considerable amount of time asking me a variety of in-depth questions about my cats history, behaviors, and diet. This was perhaps one of the most in-depth and detailed vet consultations, diagnosis, and treatment experiences I've ever had with any of my animals (I also fostered kittens and adult cats for 10 years as well as dogs). In addition, the staff and doctor are also humble and willing to refer you to a specialist if the treatments do not work. Within 5 days, our treatment plan (thus far) seems to be improving his symptoms. I am so grateful for finding this place in town. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Best veterinarians for cats in Eugene. We have brought our cats to them for all medical matters since we moved to Eugene. They have provided kind, knowledgeable care for all our cats from the time they were kittens to end of life services.
