Cat Clinic Inc Introduce
Located at 1986 E Foothill Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107, USA, Cat Clinic Inc stands out within the "Pet Hospital" category by specializing exclusively in feline veterinary care. This dedicated focus means that the clinic's environment, services, and approach are all tailored specifically to the unique needs and sensitivities of cats. Serving the Pasadena community for decades, this clinic has built a strong reputation for its expertise and compassionate treatment of feline patients.
The environment at Cat Clinic Inc is designed with the feline patient in mind, aiming to minimize stress and maximize comfort for cats. Unlike general veterinary clinics that also see dogs, a cat-only environment eliminates the presence of barking dogs, their scents, and the general commotion that can be highly anxiety-inducing for cats. This creates a much calmer and more serene atmosphere. The clinic would typically feature quiet waiting areas, examination rooms designed to be cat-friendly (perhaps with elevated perches or hiding spots), and specialized equipment scaled for feline patients. The long-standing relationships described by reviewers suggest a welcoming and familiar environment where both cats and their owners feel a strong sense of trust and belonging. The facility is well-established, having been in operation since at least 1974, indicating a stable and experienced presence in the community.
Cat Clinic Inc offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services, all specifically adapted for their feline clientele. Their dedicated focus allows for a deeper understanding of feline physiology, diseases, and behavior, leading to specialized care. Services typically include:
- Feline-Specific Wellness and Preventive Care: This forms the cornerstone of their practice, encompassing regular physical examinations tailored to cats' unique health patterns, feline-specific vaccination protocols (such as FVRCP and Feline Leukemia vaccines), parasite prevention and control, and nutritional counseling for cats at all life stages.
- Advanced Feline Diagnostics: Equipped with diagnostic tools essential for feline medicine, this would include in-house laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, fecal exams) and likely advanced imaging capabilities (X-rays, potentially ultrasound) specifically interpreted with feline anatomy and common feline diseases in mind.
- Feline Surgery: Offering a range of surgical procedures, from routine spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries, all performed with anesthetic protocols and pain management optimized for cats.
- Feline Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services are crucial for cats, as dental disease is very common. This would include professional dental cleanings, extractions, and management of various oral health conditions specific to felines.
- Internal Medicine for Cats: Expertise in diagnosing and managing complex internal medical conditions prevalent in cats, such as kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and inflammatory bowel disease. Reviewers commend Dr. Diegman for "sav my cat’s life many times" and their skill in handling "special cases."
- Senior Feline Care: With cats often living to advanced ages, specialized geriatric care, including managing chronic conditions and ensuring quality of life, would be a significant focus.
- Behavioral Consultations: Addressing feline behavioral issues, which are often unique to the species and require specific understanding and strategies.
- Pain Management: Customized pain management protocols designed for cats, using medications and techniques appropriate for feline physiology.
- On-site Pharmacy: Providing convenient access to feline-specific medications and prescription diets.
Cat Clinic Inc distinguishes itself through several unique and compelling features, largely derived from its singular focus on feline patients and its long-standing presence in the community:
- Feline-Exclusive Environment: The most prominent feature is that it is a cat-only clinic. This eliminates the stress cats experience from the sights, sounds, and smells of dogs, leading to significantly calmer and more comfortable visits for feline patients. This specialization allows the entire staff to be acutely aware of feline behavior and handling. As one reviewer mentioned, "my cats like the fact that there aren't dogs or other varmints around to upset them."
- Deep and Extensive Feline Expertise: With a practice dedicated solely to cats since at least 1974, the veterinarians, particularly Dr. Diegman and Dr. Loo, have accumulated an unparalleled depth of knowledge and experience in feline medicine. Reviewers highlight Dr. Diegman's ability to "recognize symptoms and behavior that would be missed by other vets" and his statement: "when all you do is cats, for as long as I have, you learn a thing or two about cats that others won't know." This specialized expertise is a major draw for discerning cat owners.
- Long-Term Client and Patient Relationships: The testimonials reveal an extraordinary level of client loyalty, with individuals having been with the clinic for "almost 40 years" and having entrusted "all the 20 cats" they've owned to their care. This speaks volumes about the consistent quality of care and the strong bonds formed between the clinic, clients, and their beloved cats.
- Compassionate and Caring Staff: Reviewers consistently describe Dr. Diegman and Dr. Loo as "compassionate and caring" and "skilled at their trade." The appreciation for knowing their "cats are in good hands" underscores the trust and comfort clients feel.
- Oversight of Special Cases: The assurance that the vets are "there every night to oversee the special cases" demonstrates a profound level of dedication and commitment to their most vulnerable patients, providing peace of mind to owners.
- Experienced Doctors with Institutional Knowledge: Dr. Diegman's long tenure, even predating his ownership, means he has witnessed generations of cats and their owners, contributing to a rich institutional knowledge of feline health and local pet care needs.
- Value for Cost: While one review mentioned it can be "a bit pricey," the overriding sentiment is that the exceptional, specialized care is "worth it," implying a strong perceived value that justifies the cost for dedicated cat owners.
Information regarding specific, widely advertised promotional offers for Cat Clinic Inc is not explicitly available from the provided details. However, like many independent, specialized veterinary practices, their "promotions" may be more subtle or inherent in their service model and long-standing reputation. Possible ways they might attract and retain clients, akin to promotions, include:
- Specialized Feline Wellness Programs: They might offer tailored wellness plans specifically for kittens, adult cats, and senior cats, bundling essential services like exams, vaccinations, and routine diagnostics at a more predictable or slightly reduced cost compared to à la carte services.
- Emphasis on Long-Term Care and Prevention: Their focus on continuous, high-quality care over decades serves as an ongoing "promotion" for excellent health outcomes and strong client relationships, reducing the need for costly emergency interventions later.
- Client Education: Providing valuable resources and advice on feline health, behavior, and nutrition can be a form of value addition that attracts and retains clients seeking comprehensive support.
- Referral-Based Growth: Given the extraordinary loyalty and positive word-of-mouth demonstrated in the reviews, client referrals likely serve as a significant "promotional" engine for the clinic.
- Online Pharmacy Convenience: Offering an online pharmacy could provide convenience and potentially access to manufacturer rebates on feline-specific medications or foods, benefiting clients.

Oct 19, 2024 · E SmithI have been coming to the Cat Clinic for almost 40 years. Dr Diegman and Dr Loo have taken care of all the 20 cats I've had over that time. They are compassionate and caring and are skilled at their trade. I know they are there every night to oversee the special cases. I appreciate knowing that my cats are in good hands when they are in their care.
Nov 14, 2022 · Gregg OelkerDr Loo takes very good care of our fur babies. Staff is always helpful.
Oct 18, 2024 · Cheryl SempleJust moved to Pasadena and was looking for a place to take our cat. The staff was rude, our cat was treated poorly. They never followed up with the tests results we had done. We tried to call several times but they also never answer their phone. Finally got ahold of them with minimal insight or further assistance. Their facility is outdated and they used outdated methods. If you're looking for a new spot keep looking.
