(Virginia, IL) Okay, NOW I’m even more upset. I called up to Cass County EMERGENCY Vet explaining that my cat, Typsy (Whom Cass has Hospitalized at the LEAST, 3x and have quite frankly, taken AMAZING care of him) was sick, VERY SICK, I’m talking - Urithral Blockage sick, (I know this because again, they have treated him at least 3x before for the same exact thing) & because I forgot about a $230 bill from the very last time he had to be hospitalized back in 2023, they refused to at least hospitalize him & allow me to pay them Tuesday. I spent ALL DAY calling places for help. left work early, completely distraught. I finally found someone kind enough to take care of the back due bill until I could pay her back Tuesday. This AMAZING lady called up to Cass County to take care of the outstanding bill, and they told her they still wouldn’t see my Typsy. They said that I purposely ignored them when they would reach out regarding the bill (which is absolutely false. I can guarantee you they don’t have the correct # on file. I’m not that kind of person. & I genuinely didn’t even think about the bill, from, again… 2023) the fact of the matter is, that this place is quite literally letting our cat die because of a bill that WAS ABOUT TO GET PAID BY A COMPLETE STRANGER FOR US. I will get my Typsys Truth out!

Welcome to Cass Veterinary Services, your local Pet Hospital located at 1101 W Walnut St, Jacksonville, IL 62650, USA. At Cass Veterinary Services, we aim to provide veterinary care for your animal companions. You can reach us at (217) 243-3381 or via mobile at +1 217-243-3381.

Information regarding the specific environment of Cass Veterinary Services is somewhat implied through customer reviews. One reviewer mentioned that it is "not a fancy vets office," suggesting a more straightforward and perhaps less elaborate setting. This might appeal to pet owners who prioritize efficient service over a luxurious ambiance. While detailed descriptions of the clinic's facilities are absent, the focus seems to be on providing veterinary care in a practical environment.

As a Pet Hospital, Cass Veterinary Services offers a range of services. One customer recounted multiple instances where the clinic had hospitalized their cat, Typsy, for a recurring issue of urethral blockage, noting that they had provided "AMAZING care" on those occasions. This indicates that the hospital is equipped for hospitalization and the treatment of medical conditions. Another reviewer sought dental care for their dog, and Cass Veterinary Services was able to get them "right in" for a teeth pulling and cleaning procedure, which "all went well." They were also scheduled for another dental procedure for a different dog. This suggests that dental services are also offered. However, a concerning aspect raised in one review involves the refusal to hospitalize a very sick cat (with a known history of being treated at Cass for the same condition) due to an outstanding bill from 2023, even when a third party offered to pay the bill. This incident suggests a policy where outstanding payments can impact the provision of even critical care, which potential clients should be aware of. Despite this, the provision of hospitalization, dental procedures, and general medical care seems to be within their scope of services.

Several features of Cass Veterinary Services can be inferred from the customer reviews, presenting a somewhat mixed picture. On the positive side, the clinic has provided "AMAZING care" during past hospitalizations, as noted by one reviewer. They were also described as having "very nice ladies" on staff who were able to promptly schedule a dental appointment for a traveling pet owner. The "quick to the point service" was appreciated by a customer who prefers efficiency over extensive attention. However, a significant concern is raised by the reported refusal to provide emergency hospitalization for a sick, established patient due to an overdue bill, even when payment was imminent. This suggests a strict financial policy that might override immediate medical needs in certain situations. Potential clients should consider both the reported instances of good care and the reported instance of denied urgent care when evaluating the features of this Pet Hospital.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Cass Veterinary Services in the provided text. Therefore, we cannot comment on any special offers or promotions they might be running. Potential clients would need to inquire directly about any promotions or payment plans.

In conclusion, Cass Veterinary Services in Jacksonville, IL, appears to be a Pet Hospital that offers a range of services, including hospitalization and dental care. Some customers have reported positive experiences with the care provided and appreciate the efficient service. However, a concerning incident was reported where urgent hospitalization was allegedly denied due to an outstanding bill, even with the promise of immediate payment by a third party. This suggests that while they may provide good medical care, their financial policies could impact service provision in critical situations. Local users considering Cass Veterinary Services should weigh the positive reports of care and efficiency against the reported instance of denied urgent care due to a billing issue. It may be prudent to discuss their financial policies and emergency protocols when establishing care for your pets. We encourage you to contact Cass Veterinary Services at (217) 243-3381 to discuss your pet's specific needs and understand their approach to both medical care and financial matters.

We travel so it’s hard to find a vet at times. I called and talked to some very nice ladies. I explained my situation with my dogs teeth and they got me right in. They pulled and cleaned his teeth at an appointment and it all went well. They are about to do another one of my dogs teeth. They are not a fancy vets office so if thats what you like or need lots of attention this is not your place. lol😆 Quick to the point service and I love that!!

My puppy was taken in for surgery to be nutted and I was told that they call me when he woke up this was early morning but they were not able to do the surgery till after 4:00 pm I was told once more they call when he woke up they would call me. Well 10:00 pm came around still no call. So I call the hot=line and ask them if my dog was awake and they hung up on me. I went in to get my dog and 1st she said she text me and back her stories and said I told me I did not want text witch was a lie and Abigail staff knew I would never not want a call or text about my dogs, cat or horses. I been with Zeller clinic for over 16 years. It is so sad that they hire people like her. So if you go take someone with you so you have a witness.

Dr Zeller is a kind, thorough veterinarian . From our phone call, he and his team already had a good idea of what was wrong with our young male cat and treated him right away . Thank you Dr Zeller for seeing and treating our fur baby, Sir Sylvester Swiper
