If you need to see a good review this is it!! My dog was suppose to have a consultation for surgery in a few weeks but within the past 48 hours he got drastically worse so I called to let them know and they said I could bring them but they were at full capacity in the ICU and that it would be an extreme long wait. I chose to go anyways because he could drink, eat, and would barely even go outside. We did end up waiting about 3 hours. They checked to make sure he wasn’t critical before making us wait. Also kept us updated consistently. Everyone from the doctors, to the vet tech, to the specialist were very kind, informative, and understanding. It was a long and exhausting 11 hours. He was able to get seen and have same day surgery. I am very thankful for them because I don’t how much longer I could’ve went seeing him like this. Even after putting a deposit down for the surgery we ended up getting a refund. It’s not often you end up getting money back. I will forever be going to them in case of future surgery or treatment. I wish they had there own general clinic. Thank you to everyone again for the help today❤️ *Never forget the receptionist too for being kind and trying there best to help us out as much as possible.*

Based on available information, including real customer reviews, Carolina Veterinary Specialists Greensboro appears to offer specialized veterinary care, particularly in the realm of surgery and critical care. One positive review highlights the responsiveness and compassion of the staff during a critical situation. The reviewer recounts a scenario where their dog's condition worsened significantly before a scheduled consultation. Despite being at full capacity in their ICU, the hospital accommodated the pet, kept the owner informed during a 3-hour wait, and ensured the dog was not in immediate critical danger before the wait. The entire team, from doctors and vet technicians to specialists and even the receptionist, is commended for their kindness, informative approach, and understanding. This ultimately led to same-day surgery, for which the owner expressed immense gratitude. Notably, the reviewer also mentioned receiving a refund for the initial surgery deposit, which they found to be an unexpected and appreciated gesture of fairness. This positive feedback underscores the hospital's commitment to patient care and client communication, even under demanding circumstances.

However, it is crucial to acknowledge that another review presents a starkly contrasting experience. This negative feedback alleges a lack of genuine care and accuses the facility of being exploitative. The reviewer recounts a distressing situation involving their missing dog of four years being brought to the hospital after being hit by a car. The initial assessment reportedly indicated minor injuries, including a tongue laceration and supposed lung bruising. Following antibiotic treatment and payment, the dog was discharged only to die the next morning. This account raises serious concerns about the accuracy of the initial diagnosis and the level of care provided in this particular instance. It is important for potential clients to consider both positive and negative feedback when making decisions about their pet's healthcare.

Considering the available information, Carolina Veterinary Specialists Greensboro seems to function as a facility equipped for advanced veterinary procedures, particularly surgical interventions, and potentially handles emergency or critical care situations. The positive review suggests a well-organized and compassionate team capable of managing complex cases and maintaining good communication with pet owners. The availability of specialists further indicates a focus on providing expert care in specific areas of veterinary medicine.

These people are scammers. They extort you. They don’t really care about your dog at all one. My dog has been missing for four years crazy. I know I get a call saying that my dog is here. A gentleman bought my dog here because she was hit by a car. They pretty much told me. My dog had minor injuries They told us that she was bleeding from the mouth because she chopped down on her tongue when she got hit by a car, and then she had bruising on her lungs, which wasn’t true. Charged me up the Wazo Gave us antibiotics. Payments said that she should be fine within a couple of days.only for me to bring my dog home and she dies the next morning

Wonderful relief. I thought my cat might have overdosed on gabapentin, a sedative, for our 12hr car ride on this Sunday, so Westchester Vet's voicemail refered me here, and the veterinarian doc let me know that she is just super sleepy and blissed out :) She's still breathing and loving! Thank you! We're having a wonderful trip!

Honestly, could not say better things about the staff here. I brought in my english bulldog last night around 11:30ish. She suddenly got very sick so I called this location and they were upfront about the cost for her to be seen as well as the wait, which i appreciated, so my baby and i headed that way. While we were waiting, the staff would come see how we were doing when they got the chance, as well as several updates rather than just being left in the dark. The veterinarian who saw my dog was so kind and communicated with me so well on the tests they were wanting to run, the medications they were wanting to give, and the costs to confirm everything was okay. I know this may seem like the bare minimum but I was so appreciative with their approach. I could tell they were all so busy last night yet each staff member i encountered still made the time to make sure my dog and I were comfortable and okay. By the end of my visit, all of my questions were answered, there was already a difference in my baby, I had a very well understanding as to what all of the medications were for that I was bringing home with me, and I knew what I needed to do for the next few days to help her heal. Last night was scary for me as a dog mom but I couldn’t thank the staff enough for what they did for us.

I want to begin by sincerely thanking the veterinary team who cared for my furbaby. I truly believe that without their attention and skill, I might not have her with me today. The staff who directly cared for her were kind, compassionate, and clearly dedicated to animal well-being. They made us feel supported in a very stressful moment, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. However, I feel it’s important to also be honest about our experience with the front desk staff. Unfortunately, they didn’t show the same level of care or kindness. They weren’t very personal, often seemed to have an attitude with even the simplest questions, and gave off a confrontational tone—especially when money was discussed. I understand that every business needs to be financially stable and that staff can’t ignore balances, but how you communicate those things matters greatly. When I explained that I didn’t currently have the money in my account but was willing to apply for CareCredit as a solution, the conversation felt unnecessarily tense. Rather than being met with understanding or patience, I felt judged—like the financial aspect overshadowed any concern for the animal involved. It came across as if payment was more important than the pet’s well-being. Additionally, when I picked up my cat, I was told when to stop giving a medication but had slipped my mind of how long. That detail wasn’t written in the paperwork, and when I called back to ask, the front staff refused to find someone who had worked on her or offer any real help. It was told to me to hang onto the left over medication incase this happen again. So I did not want to waste any of the medication. I was referred to my primary vet instead of having them, confirm with the person there that told me. Once you walk out that door and they've been paid, it genuinely feels like you're on your own. In the end, I brought home a healthier cat, and for that I’m extremely thankful. But I also walked away with the impression that while the back-of-house care is strong, the front desk experience lacks compassion, professionalism, and a basic understanding of how to treat people during emotional and vulnerable moments and this is why I can't honor a high rating. I hope this feedback is taken to heart—because the face of the clinic should reflect the same level of care happening behind the scenes.
