Care Animal Hospital

We have been clients at Care for over 30 years. We have had all our dogs check ups, emergency's, Surgery's and more. Since they have made changes to their office staff it hasn't been so nice. This past weekend we had an emergency with our dog having seizures. This was a horrible feeling and process to be going through. I called Care who we have been going to forever and asked if I could bring my dog in that he was having a seizure. I was told no I needed an appointment and they had no appointments available. I said this is an emergency and we have been patients for years and she said there was nothing she could do. She was not sympathetic at all for what I was going through. They could maybe get me in the next day. Being this was an emergency and I have waited several times there for other people who bring their dogs in for emergency's I find this completely unacceptable. We ended up bringing our dog to VEG ER in Buffalo Grove and they were amazing. We have an appointment with a new Vet and will not be returning to Care.

This 5 star review is particularly for the care provided to our cat by Dr Pollock. Our cat was brought into care because she wasn’t eating for a couple days. Through extensive testing it was found that she had a very rare disease that destroys red blood cells in her bone marrow. Now with medication she is stable and is living a very happy life. I have no doubt that Dr Pollocks recommendations and care saved her life. We can not thank you enough.

Care Animal Hospital is reliable and caring. The office staff are quick to respond and do what they can to help. The doctors at Care are professional, knowledgeable and considerate. Everyone at Care treat my dogs like royalty. I’ve taken my two dogs here for over 10 years now. I’ve gone to many other vets as I’ve moved around a lot but Care is the best and I often drive over an hour to go here. For emergencies, most vets won’t see you for 1-2 weeks or tell you to go to the ER ($$$) but Care always gets me in same day. I recently had to put my first angel down at this vet and they were very kind and made the process as easy as possible. The prices are high but the service they provide is worth it. Highly recommend!

We have been coming here for close to 20 years and highly recommend CARE animal hospital. We came here initially when our family dog had a medical emergency and they took such amazing care of her that we never switched back to our old veterinarian. They provide other services of grooming and rehab and were supportive and knowledgable during our 17 year old family dogs passing. Now my husband and I have our own furry members (2 cats and 1 dog). We even moved 30 minutes away and we still come here! Prices are fair, the place is clean and the staff are so welcoming and friendly!

After being clients of Care and Dr. Haase for over 16 years, we have no option but to find our 2 senior dogs a new veterinarian. I was turned away in an emergency situation and was told they could see my dog in 4 days. 4 days! When I persisted and said this was urgent, I was hung up on. No one, including Dr. Haase, ever called me back to help my dog. Weeks later, I received an unsigned letter telling me to find a new vet! After being a customer for 16 years, no phone call from staff, owner, or Dr. Haase to see what transpired with their front desk staff. But what speaks volumes to me is Dr. Haase never contacted me to see if my dog was ok. Their first priority should be for the care and well-being of innocent animals. Their actions showed me they could not care less about my dog.
