Great Clinic. Staff is courteous and helpful and the Dr is very knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone there made sure my dog and I were as comfortable and informed as possible, and their rates were surprisingly reasonable compared to other clinics we've used. Very glad I found this place!

Mar 01, 2025 · Nicholas BlazewiczTook my dog in 4 times for an ear infection that never got better that had him in severe pain for months. After 4th time They did an intolerance test to see if it was something he was allergic to etc. they never called me with results, I called 3 times to find out results, and still never got the results of test. Spent a few hundred dollars for his ear to never got better. Took him a to another vet 1 time and within a few days he was better. Maybe she’s good with her regular patients but as a new patient I didn’t feel she cared about my dog, and didn’t appreciate her laughing at him when he was in pain from his ear hurting. Personally to me it just seemed like the vet was all over the place and money hungry.
Jul 24, 2024 · Megan DurhamI rescued a very sick kitten and Dr. M was there every step of way. It took months, we were coming in very 2-3 weeks from Nov to May and everyone there was so sweet and caring. Dr listened and explained everything so well. I felt she was as committed as I was to getting my little fur girl healthy. She double checked on the correct antibiotics, the safety for longer than normal use. You could tell how much she cared. I don’t think I could have afforded this at any other vet. She suggested tests that would help never suggested a ton that weren’t going to help. Recently my lil fur girl had a mouth infection and we had just started her treatment but she ended up passing. I had taken her to an emergency animal hospital, because of the time it was when she worsened. The vet there said she hoped I was not blaming my vet because she would not done anything different. She said it’s common for people to lash out when they lose a member of their fur family. I assured her that I would never do that because my fur girl was so sick when I got her and I was able to give her 2 years as a happy loved spoiled house cat, without Dr Ms care we would never have had that time. I completely trust Dr M to always do the best for her patients and their owners, with kindness and compassion. Without a doubt there is a kitten in my future and I’ll be bringing it to Dr M where I know it will get the best care. My fur babies mean so much to me, having a great vet makes it so much less stressful when they get sick. Couldn’t recommend more! ❤️
Nov 21, 2024 · kayylee4Where to start.... My 14 week old French Bulldog puppy had surgery to remove a potentially cancerous tumor on her chin and the "service" I received surrounding this surgery was appalling to say the least. When my husband and I picked up our puppy in the afternoon following surgery we walked in and the receptionist did not call the Doctor or Tech to explain how the surgery went and when I asked questions about how to take care of the stitches and the pain meds he was reluctant to ask someone to come out to talk to us. Finally the tech (not the vet.. ps we never saw her at all before or after the surgery) came out to talk to us and it was like pulling teeth to get a response from her about how to care for our puppy who just had major surgery. When we got our puppy home and saw horrible the stitching was on her chin I was still trying to give them the benefit of doubt as I know it was a large tumor and there isn't a lot of skin on the chin to stitch... Two days later the stitches opened up completely (on a Sunday) and I had to take my dog into the Emergency Vet. The Emergency Vet told me the Incision line failed and she would have to be put back under anesthesia and be re-stitched (a small puppy with a short nose.. always risky). The Emergency Vet did not have a surgeon on staff that day so they game me more pain meds and an antibiotic and left the wound open so that the next day I could call Dr. Minnis (or another vet) to get her in so that she could be re stitched. When I called Caledonia Vet Clinic that Monday morning the "service" got even better. Dr. Minnis was defensive and rude. She couldn't believe that someone would think her work was less than perfection and she said that the Emergency Vet was unprofessional to criticize her work. She suggested that our puppy scratched her stitches (not true but I totally understand that stitches can open up, they were on her chin and she is a puppy) or that they just opened on their own, miraculously. THEN she told me that she would be happy to have our puppy come back in that day and put her out and re-stitch her however she was GOING OUT OF THE COUNTRY THE NEXT DAY and didn't have time. She said that she wouldn't fit her in or cancel another appointment because she was going on vacation. This is her business isn't it? Wouldn't you want to stay late or fit her in somewhere? This was her patient.... and a 14 week old puppy with a massive, bleeding open wound! She told me she couldn't help me and she didn't have any other options for me but I should call around and see if someone else could re stitch her. I am dumbfounded by the quality of care and service we received. From my observations and experience I think that the service is poor quality and the staff is undertrained. PS we went to another vet and they suggested that we (unfortunately) would let the wound close medically because it is too much of a risk to put her under again.. Our puppy is miserable, uncomfortable, and now will have a massive scar on her face.
Aug 08, 2018 · Stephanie O’DriscollDr. Mimmus has always been great with my 4 legged babies. Her staff does as well. Hard to get bad news but we know they go above and beyond to do everything to make things right.
