Burke Forest Veterinary Clinic

Burke Forest Vet has been out vet for over twenty years. This past year we had an emergency diagnosis and surgery for our beloved German Shepherd who had a 15 lb spleen tumor. The entire care team handled it with urgency and grace to remove the tumor and bring Kona back to full health. Here’s a picture of him going home from surgery looking a little dopey and pictures from this summer where he is living his best life and we are grateful for him and Burke Forest everyday!

We started using this vet due to its location. They have been good for routine care. Our dog recently had a serious and unexpected illness. The vet gently but clearly and candidly laid out the options. They were able to provide medication that gave our beloved friend temporary relief from their symptoms so that our family could say goodbye while she enjoyed a few of her favorite activities. The staff guided us through putting our pup to sleep with compassion and care. Our dog spent her last few hours pain-free and well loved due to the expertise at Burke Forest Vet.

Recently moved to the area and needed a new vet. My dog had some stomach issues and Burke Forest was able to get him in within a day of calling for an appointment. Staff was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and eased some of my concerns. Dr. Bowles and Carisa were really great!

Never wrote a review for a place before so ill keep it short. Dont go here. Ive been to so many different vets and I’ve had the worst experience here with Dr Bowles. This use to be my primary vet about a year ago and its been some time since i went back. I decided to come back and write this review because after going to actual good vets where the doctors are knowledgeable , i realized how bad this vet was. The doctor was never able to help my dog with his conditions. After going to a qualified vet, it took one appointment to fix what he’s been dealing with for years. Also, Dr Jennifer Bowles here is so rude and had such an attitude during my last appointment. She does not seem like she enjoys her job nor cares enough to provide proper information and it never made me want to come back.

My buddy Reno needed to have surgery to remove a tumor from his chest. Naturally, I was apprehensive about this procedure and searched around for a veterinarian who would offer the level of care that my friend deserved. After some positive recommendations from people familiar with Burke Forest I decided to send Reno there for his operation. I could not be happier with the treatment he received! The surgery was successful, the follow up was thorough, the concern for him was sincere. I am grateful to the wonderful staff and especially the doctor for giving Reno a second chance to live a long life.
