Hi, I have my pet with them for more than two years. Last year my dog was diagnosed with stone on his bladder like a lot. He had on a diet for a year I've been told with them that it will go away with his prescription diet. Ok a year passed , last month I came back with them to check if his diet worked to check through x-ray if all the stone gone. Ok they took an X-ray, oh well I'm so happy because she told me that it's gone and she showed me on her phone that it's all gone. Showing me only on her phone the result of the X-ray it seems like not supposed to. She can just Google it and showed me a fake photo . How can you not see a lot of stone on my dog bladder through X-ray? I will attached a photo , it's unbelievable . I really felt bad for my dog😭 Last two days ago my dog having hard time to pee guess what the stone it's still there on his bladder and one was blocked on his penis that's why we need to bring him to Emergency and let blocked stone and all his stone removed . It caused us too much money and stress because they Don't Do Good to my dog! I will NOT going back with them anymore. They don't give proper care and more detail about my dog health problem . I changed my Vet and Hospital . They also have not really clean their facility. Lots of dog pee and dog hair at the lobby. I hope and pray that my dog will be ok🙏. I will not recommend this facility to my families and friends! There is a lot of good Vet and Hospital that they will give more care to your dog. If you love your dog or pet go somewhere else!

Brown Veterinary Hospital Introduce
Welcome to Brown Veterinary Hospital, a dedicated pet hospital located at 45 E Old Broadmoor Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80906, USA. Serving the local community and beyond, Brown Veterinary Hospital aims to provide a wide array of veterinary services to ensure the health and well-being of your beloved animal companions. As a established Pet Hospital, Brown Veterinary Hospital positions itself as a key provider for all your pet care needs, offering both medical services and potentially related goods for sale.
Based on available information, Brown Veterinary Hospital has a history spanning over 60 years, suggesting a long-standing presence within the Colorado Springs community. This longevity can often indicate a deep-rooted connection with pet owners and a history of providing care across generations. One long-term customer review highlights this, expressing trust in the clinic since childhood and praising their "high-quality service expertise and love for their job." This positive feedback emphasizes a commitment to the animals under their care, extending to a variety of pets including "fur babies and reptiles and exotics." The reviewer specifically mentions the "dedication and commitment to protect and save our babies," indicating a strong focus on the health and safety of their patients.
However, it is crucial to present a balanced view based on all available information. Another recent customer review paints a significantly different picture. This review details a concerning experience regarding the diagnosis and treatment of their dog's bladder stones. According to the review, the dog was diagnosed with bladder stones and placed on a prescription diet for a year, with the expectation that the stones would dissolve. Following a year on this diet, an X-ray was reportedly taken, and the owner was informed that the stones were gone, with the evidence shown only on a phone screen. The reviewer expressed skepticism about this method of presentation. Subsequently, the dog experienced difficulty urinating, and a visit to an emergency veterinary service revealed that the stones were still present, with one blocking the urethra, requiring emergency intervention and incurring significant costs and stress for the owner.
This negative review raises serious concerns about the accuracy of diagnoses, the transparency of communication regarding test results, and the overall standard of care provided. The reviewer explicitly states that they will not return to Brown Veterinary Hospital and cannot recommend it to others, citing a lack of proper care and detailed information about their dog's health problem. Furthermore, this review alleges issues with the cleanliness of the facility, specifically mentioning "lots of dog pee and dog hair at the lobby." This is a significant concern for any healthcare environment, as cleanliness plays a crucial role in preventing the spread of infections and ensuring a healthy atmosphere for both pets and their owners.
Considering these contrasting reviews, it is challenging to form a definitive picture of the current state of Brown Veterinary Hospital. The positive review speaks to a long history of trusted service and a wide range of expertise. In contrast, the negative review raises serious red flags regarding diagnostic accuracy, communication practices, and facility hygiene. Potential local users should carefully weigh these differing experiences when considering Brown Veterinary Hospital for their pet care needs.
As a Pet Hospital, Brown Veterinary Hospital likely offers a range of services that are typical for such facilities. These commonly include routine check-ups and vaccinations to maintain your pet's preventative health. Diagnostic services, such as X-rays and laboratory tests, are crucial for identifying and understanding various health conditions. Surgical procedures, ranging from routine spay and neuter surgeries to more complex operations, are also a common offering. Dental care is another vital aspect of pet health, and many veterinary hospitals provide services such as teeth cleaning and extractions. In times of unexpected illness or injury, veterinary hospitals often offer urgent care services to address immediate health concerns.
Given the mention of "reptiles and exotics" in the positive review, it suggests that Brown Veterinary Hospital may have specialized expertise in caring for non-traditional pets, which can be a significant advantage for owners of such animals, as not all veterinary clinics have the knowledge and equipment necessary for their care. This specialization could be a key feature that sets Brown Veterinary Hospital apart for a certain segment of pet owners in the Colorado Springs area.
However, the concerns raised in the negative review regarding diagnostic procedures and communication are critical. Accurate diagnoses are fundamental to effective treatment, and clear, transparent communication between the veterinarian and the pet owner is essential for building trust and ensuring informed decisions about a pet's care. The alleged issues with cleanliness also undermine confidence in the overall quality of the facility and its commitment to a healthy environment.
Potential promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given text. However, based on the positive review, a potential promotional angle could highlight the hospital's long-standing history in the community, the multi-generational trust it has earned, and its expertise in caring for a wide variety of animals, including exotic pets. Testimonials emphasizing positive experiences and successful treatments could be used to build confidence. Conversely, the negative review serves as a stark reminder of the importance of addressing any shortcomings in service quality, communication, and facility maintenance.
For local users in Singapore considering veterinary care for their pets, it is important to thoroughly research and evaluate different options. While Brown Veterinary Hospital is located in Colorado Springs, USA, the principles of choosing a good pet hospital remain universal. Look for clinics that prioritize clear communication, accurate diagnostics, comprehensive treatment options, and a clean and welcoming environment. Reading online reviews from various sources can provide valuable insights into the experiences of other pet owners. It is also advisable to inquire about the specific services offered, the qualifications and experience of the veterinary staff, and the clinic's policies on communication and follow-up care.
In conclusion, Brown Veterinary Hospital has a long history in Colorado Springs and has garnered positive feedback from some long-term clients, particularly regarding their expertise with a variety of pets. However, a recent negative review raises significant concerns about diagnostic accuracy, communication, and facility cleanliness. Local users in the Colorado Springs area should consider both perspectives when making decisions about their pet's care and may want to seek further information or clarification before choosing Brown Veterinary Hospital. For users in Singapore, this case highlights the importance of thorough research and due diligence when selecting a veterinary care provider, regardless of location.

Apr 10, 2025 · Lorelei Cruz🤍❌ HIGHLY RECOMMEND ❌🤍 I have been coming here since I was a young girl when Dr. Brown was the vet there and my grandmother trusted him with her show dogs. This place has meant a lot to my family for over the past 60+years we are very happy to call this veterinary clinic well family and home for our fur babies and reptiles and exotics. I choose to use this vet for their high-quality service expertise and love for their job and your baby! Thanks for your dedication and commitment to protect and save our babies!
Oct 14, 2020 · Kari HathawayBrowns vet is the #1 vet clinic I refer out to when asked. The vets here actually care about the animals. They have high standards, morals, and honor. They are kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. And I can't thank them enough for everything they have done for all my pets, especially my cat snuggles. My pets will not go to any other vet clinic!
