Broadview Animal Clinic: Rucker Jason DVM

I agree with Kendra on this one. I had an appointment scheduled a week ago to see whichever vet is available because the one I liked left the clinic. When I got there we had to wait 20 extra minutes past the scheduled appointment time. A vet tech finally came out to take my kitty back for bloodwork and subcutaneous fluids but I never got to see a vet to discuss her symptoms and my concerns. Got a call the next day from this vet but missed the call. The voicemail left was direct about her results but gave generic responses as to what decisions I have. When I was finally able to get on the phone with Dr. Rucker he was curt, distracted (I could hear him typing while I talked), and lacked compassion. It did not seem as though he cared at all about my questions and did little good to help me understand what my cat was going through. I inevitably made the call that my gut and my own knowledge told me was best but would have appreciated some empathy, kindness and a bit of concern from an expert in pets.

We took her for an assessment at Broadview Animal Clinic. We’ve taken our pets there for the last 14 years. They’re cheap and no nonsense. So I took her for a quality of life assessment because she’s fifteen and a half. This vet came in, didn’t say hi, and asked about her symptoms. When I listed them off, he said, “you’ve got two choices. You can do blood work and get her on arthritis medication or we can put her down right now.” I said I’m not ready to put her down and asked if she’s really ready. He said it was my choice. That’s all. No compassion, no inspection of the dog, just kept rudely repeating that it’s my choice. When I said I needed to wait for my husband, he said that’s your choice and walked out. I’ll never go back there again.

After waiting two months for my Dogs scheduled appointment I called to confirm and they informed me his appointment was cancelled due to staffing issues. Almost every attempt to reach the clinic I would hear them answer the phone and hang up if they did answer I would be placed on eternal hold. I left messages for the clinic manager and it took an email expressing my unhappiness for him to reach out only to offer to reschedule my appointment In November! Absolutely crazy to think I would wait another 4 months for them to possibly just erroneously cancel on us again! Was referred by friends and after this experience reading Yelp reviews sounds like they have some serious front office issues! Won’t be taking my loved ones here!

Broadview Animal Clinic is my #1 place to take my pets in for routine checkups to serious health issues. Top notch staff, friendly and very knowledgeable. The Dr's are great with Animals, they treat every patient like it was their own! 5⭐

Took my dog in as an emergency for bloat and was told to go somewhere else because they can't help me . I did and thank God she survived. But I have 2nd thoughts on Broadview.
