We just had our first visit at Briarlake Animal Hospital with Dr. Nichols. Our puppy is 12 weeks old and I already know he's going to have the best care here. Dr. Nichols was so sweet and caring with our pup. Our pup wasn't scared/nervous at all and I don't think he wanted to leave Dr. Nichols' side when it was time to leave. Everyone there was warm and friendly during our visit. We came here after high recommendations from other friends, and also knowing what amazing people Dr. Iwamoto and Dr. Hochel are personally. We know Mogul will have the best care and support here.

I switched to Briarlake Animal Hospital around this time last year, and I honestly wish I had done it sooner. My cat, Danbee, is a 14-year-old senior with CKD stage 2, which means she requires frequent recheck exams. Because of this, I had to be very careful when choosing a new veterinary clinic. I read all the reviews before switching to BAH, and I have to say, the reviews are legit. Over the past year, I’ve visited Briarlake Animal Hospital about five times, and I can honestly say that everyone there truly cares for our fur babies. Every nurse, technician, and receptionist I’ve encountered has been incredibly kind, informative, and passionate about their work. (Thank you to Laura, Rachel, Robert, Amanda, Sofia, and all the other staff members at BAH!) Each of them made sure to provide thorough and attentive treatment. Dr. Robin Hochel has been very thorough in explaining procedures and treatment plans. She is always kind and understanding, never pushing unnecessary treatments, while still offering her professional medical expertise. The communication and follow-ups have also been outstanding. Dr. Hochel truly understands the struggles that pet parents go through. And above all, I can tell that Danbee is much less stressed at this hospital compared to previous places. I’ve been meaning to leave a review for a while, and I hope this helps others find the best care for their fur babies.

I’d like to give a shout out to Dr. Robin Hochel and the staff at Briarlake Animal Hospital on Shallowford Road. Over the years we have been taking our dogs and cats to another nearby vet, but for a variety of reasons we decided to look for another vet for our 11 year old beagle, Molly. So glad we did. From entering the office, to being shown to the examination room, and the exam itself - everything was done to make the visit as stress-free as possible for my dog. When it came time for the blood to be drawn, it was done right in front of me. Same for her nail clipping. I’ve never seen Molly so relaxed in a strange setting. If you are looking for an experienced, loving, caring vet, please checkout Briarlake Animal Hospital.

Easily the best veterinarian clinic we've been to. Dr. Duvall was amazing. She helped diagnose our pet's condition when other vets had missed it. Her out of office communication was responsive and prompt. Dr. Duvall and the rest of the clinic showed so much care and regard for our pet's situation. I would highly recommend using this clinic.

Briarlake was recommended to me by my trainer and I am so happy with our first visit. My rescue is super fear reactive so we had a consultation. The energy there is so calm and welcoming, and even my nervous wreck dog was less obnoxious. We got taken back very quickly. They are so accommodating and work with you. Laura (I hope) was the absolute best when she took his info. Seriously she was awesome and really put me at ease. Dr Hochel took time to explain everything for me and discussed options, and then worked within Charlie’s nervousness to give him a quick exam. They were both so wonderful with him. The bill was extremely reasonable, even with medication on. Briarlake is worth the drive for this vet, and I’m so glad to have them in our corner.
