My dog was misdiagnosed for almost 2 years. The good doctor Cartwright acted like her issues were my fault because I wasn't engaging her enough causing anxiety and chewing. In reality he missed a peice of her reproductive system when he performed her spay causing her to go into a heat cycle twice a year, but he acted like I was crazy and dismissed my concerns at repeated appointments when a simple blood test at another office confirmed my suspicion. Now we have to pay for another surgery to fix what he missed. We will never go back here and I warn everyone I know not to either.

Firstly, the staff (except the male Vet) is extremely friendly and professional. They even attempted to correct the negatives that were perpetrated by the male vet. The rest of the staff are obvious pet people with immense love for our pets, but also understanding and sympathy for pet owners. The male vet at the Bremen Animal Clinic is extremely unprofessional and unfriendly to pets. His handling of our 13 year old Siberian Husky was not only negligent, it resulted in extreme stress for my dog, as well as ourselves. The assistant that first handled our dog was very caring, understanding, and professional. She took the information down, addressed our concerns with the vet, and did everything perfectly. Our Husky does NOT like being picked up, she is old and would rather be dealt with on the ground, where she has no issue with shots or other medical tests. Additionally, she does not like her rear end touched, especially her tail. The initial checkup went smoothly, however the vet didn't address the concerns, only restating issues that were already documented and well observed. The vet then wanted to take a useless temperature of our dog, something that has never been warranted at any other vet. After ignoring several attempts to say no to taking the temperature, the vet then told his assistant to get a muzzle, something that our 13 year old Husky has never needed before and had no idea how to wear one. After the initial stress and struggle of getting it on, our dog was showing very clear signs of discomfort and stress. It only got worse when the Vet firmly grabbed her tail, something that we had warned countless times NOT to do and was documented. This caused her to not only howl, but to scream. I have never heard her scream like she did with this vet. He was so rough with her, that her nose started to bleed. After 4 attempts at trying to tell him that her nose was bleeding, he had the audacity to ask where the blood came from. The entire situation was so negligent that he inadvertently resulted in our dogs nosebleed ending up on the young assistants face and clothing. The temperature was not needed as she showed zero symptoms of a fever, nor any other signs that would warrant a temperature taken. He mishandled the whole situation so poorly that even his assistant began to cry and profusely apologized after the appointment's end. To end, this situation was so bad, we have filed a report with the Indiana Board of Veterinary Medicine. I genuinely hope he loses his license after hearing similar complaints. IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO THIS VET. TLDR: Vet was so negligent, rough, and deaf to our concerns and warnings. Extremely unprofessional.

Very friendly and our dog likes it there. They provide everything if needed, but let us use our dog's food, too. Have multiple services available like Vet on stand by, walk 2 X per day. Availability was great! Call early to get your spot.

Sadly our little Macy lost her battle yesterday. Dr. Cartwright had taken such amazing care of her as well as our other two dogs. He and his staff always go above and beyond to make you feel cared about. He gave us a year longer with her then we would have had without him as her Dr. Bremen Animal Clinic will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you Dr. Cartwright and staff.
