I am temporarily residing in the area due to a relative fighting cancer. Boxers Meds & Fixits worked with me to set up an appointment within a very reasonable amount of time! The vet and the assistant were wonderful with Abba and thoroughly explained everything to me. Great experience. I will use this veterinarian service when in the area!!

Boxers Meds & Fixits Introduce

Welcome to the introduction of Boxers Meds & Fixits, a Pet Hospital located at 1301 Washington Blvd Suite A, Belpre, OH 45714, USA. Boxers Meds & Fixits can be contacted at phone number (740) 525-3333 or mobile phone +1 740-525-3333. As a local Pet Hospital, they aim to provide veterinary care for your animal companions. However, the customer reviews present a mixed perspective on the services provided, which should be considered by potential clients.

Information regarding the specific environment of Boxers Meds & Fixits is not detailed in the provided reviews. Typically, a veterinary hospital would include a reception area, examination rooms, and potentially other specialized spaces depending on the services offered. One positive review mentions a "wonderful" interaction with the vet and assistant, suggesting a comfortable and professional setting during the consultation. However, other reviews raise concerns about the quality of care and services.

Based on the limited information and the customer reviews, we can infer some of the services that Boxers Meds & Fixits may offer. One positive review highlights the ability to secure an appointment within a "very reasonable amount of time," indicating they offer appointment-based veterinary consultations. The reviewer also mentioned that the vet and assistant "thoroughly explained everything," suggesting they provide communication and education to pet owners during visits. Additionally, one negative review mentions a "grooming appointment" for a cat, implying that grooming services might also be offered. However, this same review also states that the cat was "just about killed" during the grooming, which is a serious concern.

Another critical review describes a case of alleged misdiagnosis of a tumor as a "fat pocket," which the reviewer claims led to a delay in necessary surgery and potentially a poorer outcome for their dog. This review also suggests a focus on financial aspects ("instead of being worried about money!!"). Conversely, the positive review from a temporary resident praises the vet and assistant for their handling of their pet and the thorough explanations provided, indicating instances of good care and communication.

Features of Boxers Meds & Fixits appear to be somewhat contradictory based on the reviews. A potential positive feature is the ability to get timely appointments and the thorough explanations provided by at least one veterinarian and their assistant. However, significant negative features highlighted by other reviewers include alleged misdiagnosis with severe consequences, a near-fatal incident during a grooming appointment, and accusations of prioritizing financial concerns over proper patient care. These conflicting accounts make it challenging to definitively state the positive features without acknowledging the serious concerns raised.

No promotional information is available in the provided text. Therefore, we cannot comment on any current promotions or special offers that Boxers Meds & Fixits might have.

For local users in Belpre, Ohio, considering Boxers Meds & Fixits as a potential Pet Hospital, it is crucial to acknowledge the significantly contrasting experiences reported by different customers. While one reviewer had a positive experience, two other reviews express severe concerns regarding misdiagnosis, a dangerous grooming incident, and the clinic's priorities. Potential clients should carefully consider these testimonials when making their decision. If you are considering Boxers Meds & Fixits, it would be prudent to ask detailed questions about their diagnostic procedures, the qualifications of their groomers, and their approach to patient care during an initial consultation. You can contact them at (740) 525-3333 to discuss your pet's needs and their services.

In summary, Boxers Meds & Fixits in Belpre, Ohio, operates as a Pet Hospital offering veterinary services, and possibly grooming. Customer reviews present a stark contrast, with one praising the timely appointment, thorough explanation, and care received, while others report very serious issues including alleged misdiagnosis leading to the need for expensive surgery and a near-fatal grooming incident. DO NOT GO HERE! My dog was misdiagnosed and now has to have a VERY expensive surgery, that he may not survive, to remove a tumor that this vet office called a “fat pocket”. They never tested the area and never tried to remove the mass. My dog could have had a better quality of life if this vet office actually did their job instead of being worried about money!! HORRIBLE PLACE!! Oh and also, they just about killed my cat when she was in for a grooming appointment!

At around 5pm on 12/26 my kitten injured his leg somehow. I called around to my vet and multiple other vets and Boxers was the only one able to get us in to xray his leg. The cost of this visit was very reasonable. Dr. Zimmer found that he had dislocated his knee. She explained he need an Orthopaedic vet and referred him to MedVet. We left and immediately headed to MedVet in Columbus. On the way, I called to let them know we were on our way. The tech gave me an estimated quote of $2500 for the overnight hospitalization and $4000-$5000 for the surgery the next morning. This was very far out of my price range so I had to turn around. I couldn't call Boxers because they had closed shortly after we left. The next morning, 12/27, I started calling every Orthopaedic vet that popped up on Google. Majority of the Dr's were out for a holiday break and some just said they couldn't preform the surgery. I FINALLY found a vet in Westerville that could perform the surgery within my budget. This vet told me to call into Boxers for enough pain meds to last until he could get to my kitten the next morning 12/28. The reason for my 2 star review is, Dr. Zimmer refused to give my kitten those pain meds to get him through the next 24hrs. Simply because I had "deviated from the plan." So, my kitten will have to suffer for an entire day because i could not afford the facility she wanted me to go to. Which, obviously, is completely unreasonable. I'm someone who dearly loves & cares for my pets and have been to vets regularly for the past decade with my animals. I'm still just unbelievably shocked at her lack of empathy for my kitten.

The vet and staff at Boxers are all super awesome. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to take our 4 dogs for their care. Highly recommend 🐕‍🦺

Courteous, professional, and AFFORDABLE! Brought my cat in as a new patient and she flipped out. Sorry staff! Veterinarian was very nice and a good listener. The receptionists are very helpful and animal lovers. I would recommend Boxer’s Meds to anyone and will be going back. Thank you!
