Bonita Veterinary Hospital

A review long overdue but known between all who care and treat and love my kit-kats over the many years & tears. I love you guys! I can't thank you enough for your compassion and patience. The Vet is not always a pleasant place to go, the trip alone is torture, but everybody, (including those who have left - Susan!), have always made a stressful situation as comfortable as possible for both furry family and those of us they own! This is an exceptional Veterinarian practice! Thank you Dr. Patterson, Vinny, Dr. Gordon, Dr. Ogden, Ray, Lori, Victoria and the rest, (you know who you are ... I do, but with apologies have forgotten some names). You are the best!!!

We have come here for over 5 yrs, with 2 poodles , loved Dr Patterson. Sadly, after today I will not. I brought Puffin in today because she has a little cough and I showed her the video and she did not even address that at all, horrible vet. My husband passed in February and now his poodle baby is mine. She’s 16 yrs and 4 months old. My husband chose not to spay her, she now has a tumor on her chest and limps bc she hurt her leg yrs ago. We talked with Dr Patterson about all this, and he was not forceful like Stephanie Dowdy today. Now at her age Dr Stephanie Dowdy wants to amputate her leg , spay her and remove the tumor. She was soo rude and said such inappropriate things I’ll never go back. I’m sad to have to have a new vet bc of her stupidity. She even said “ would you ignore a tumor on your chest ? “. I had breast cancer , 2 surgeries and radiation. So uncaring about my pet and me too. She put down Dr Patterson for how he practiced. If she’s not there someday I will return. I’m getting another pet next week so they lost 2 patients. She made me feel like I’m not a good pet mom. I’m The best. I am about quality of life. She even commented if I could afford all these things and if not then I should euthanize her. Very cold and I think all about the money. Not one friend or relative thinks I should do all that to a 16 yr old baby. If she stops eating or drinking yes. I had to make that decision 3 yrs ago for my Bella. I do not want anyone else to be upset like I am today!! I’m posting this on my FB. Dr Patterson opened his practice in 1978, he retired but I hope he does not keep her as an employee. , Mary Ann. Reading your response I don’t know why it shows a few days ago it was in June and after that visit with I had to go to the er I was so upset. Apparently you had other complaints about that vet. She was so mean. I would still be a patient if not for her. I hope no one else was treated so harshly I stand by what I said .

Best vet experience ever! we are new to the area, and we were anxious about having to find a new vet for our two senior animals. both of our animals are very nervous at the vet, and the staff here took time to learn about our animals in order to cater to their needs. the check-in and check-out process were as streamlined as I have ever seen. our two appointments were the easiest and least stressful vet visits that we have had with our two senior critters. thank you, Bonita Vet Hospital!

What do you say about a business and the people who work there who have helped you care for and say goodbye to more than one dog? That you love them? That you would do anything for them? Okay, I LOVE Bonita Veterinary Hospital and staff and would do almost anything for them, just as they always did for me and each of the special needs dogs I had. They always know me by name. They try very hard to make time when I need help. They are sometimes difficult to get an appointment with, not unlike the new "in" place you've been dying to go to. Bonita Veterinary is THE BEST. Dr. Patterson is such a gentle, caring man that I could never have asked for more or better. Dr. Ogden stepped right in when his specialty was needed. Everyone else knows you and your pet by name...every single time. It's just a top notch place. I've left the area but have promised them I will come back or FedEx my next dog to see them. I can't imagine I could be happier anywhere else.

I am a first time "Dog Mama" and I am so relieved/happy to have found this clinic! Dr. D/Dr. Dietter is incredible! She sat on the floor with my Dawkins Angelo and gave him soooo much affection. Not only were her and the tech kind, but also beyond knowledgeable. She didn't leave the room until ALL of my questions were answered and made me feel at ease. She gave him his last vax and ensured me that I was doing a great job. I felt so confident leaving and am at peace knowing that I chose the best vet clinic in the area! Thank you, Dr. D!!!!
