I just returned from taking my dog for vaccine boosters at Bond Vet in Myrtle Av, my initial experiences were positive and my dog was always relax with the way she was treated. Their space is very clean and welcoming and free treats are a plus. A very pleasant waiting room. During my first 2 visits I was brought in an exam room to wait for the technician and then the Dr. it is a typical vet exam room with equipment but with seating to wait. When the vet and technician came in the room we would all seat on the floor and my pup would he very excited and comfortable with them and the examination was very easy. I was very happy with this. Today was different. The technician came to the front wearing a mask and kindly explains which vaccines and he cost and all was good. But then he took my dog and asked me to seat on the front while the do the.vaccines. When he came back with her, he explained that she was showing signs of anxiety and to watch her and that perhaps she might need anti anxiety medication because she could become aggressive. I was taken by surprise. I asked if she should any signs of aggression and he said she was nervous when they tried to give her an oral vaccines and growled. He also mentioned that the dogs barking mg in the back where they took her, also seemed to upset her. I am upset about this. My dog takes the subway, goes to groomer and gets nails, ears, teeth, anal glads. hair drier, she goes to doggie day care twice a week for six ours at a thrift me, and interacts with many dogs and people. None have ever expressed concerns. Everyone loves her and she loves them. People and other dogs. But she gets nervous in places with many other dogs inside their kennels barking non stop. Perhaps because she’s a rescue from a kill shelter and she was in one of those crates in a place like that. I am disappointed about this. The thought of my dog becoming “aggressive” is very disturbing to me, it left me feeling really bad. I take this extremely seriously. I should have insisted to stay with my dog in one of the rooms to wait like we had done in the past. And the more I think about it the more I think I will be looking elsewhere. I don’t like the suggestion that my dog might need medication for her anxiety. Perhaps she does, but from my experience I think she’s a very stable dog. Relaxed and sociable. I will seek another opinion. Besides I never spoke directly with the Vet. The person that we interacted with was a technician. As far as I’m concerned. He wasn’t wearing the regular vet uniform. But he did mention the possible need of anti anxiety medication. I don’t want to blame the technician. But The operation of this place. I would have liked to o have seen and spoken to the vet face to face. The tech was wearing a mask and I had to ask to repeat various times to understand what he was saying. Not his fault. It’s ok for him to feel safe, I support that. Make it mandatory for vets to see the clients directly during every visit. This isn’t cheap.

We really love our vets and vet techs at Bond! After some of our kitties had frightening experiences at other clinics, we were so happy to find a place where our cats seem so much calmer and less frightened. The vets are calm, kind, and patient with both the animals and their people. Dr. Jones was wonderful and patient explaining to me various courses of treatment options for my senior cat and was willing to take the time to answer all my questions and explain how different drugs work. That same senior cat, who has previously required anesthesia for basic care, remained calm and easy to handle for Dr. Jones and the techs at Bond. We recently took in one of our younger cats to Dr. Margot, who had previously had such a frightening experience when techs at another clinic couldn’t find a vein to draw blood that he defecated on the table while I was in tears. When Dr. Margot and our nurse, Trish (who we’ve had a few times and absolutely love) had a similar problem, everyone remained calm, and although another nurse, Christina, ended up needing to be called in to find a vein, the experience was as calm and trauma-free as possible for all of us. Since vet care is very expensive, we also really appreciate that the vets here help us with a plan of action based on what needs to be prioritized first and what we can return for at a later date, rather than pressuring us to do everything at once for a hefty bill, as again, was something I had unfortunately experienced at previous vets. Needles to say, we are very grateful for all of the vets, nurses, and staff at Bond Vet.

Dr. Heil is such a caring vet and explains everything very clearly. This location is extremely lucky to have her and her entire staff (we had Trish as our tech and she was excellent). You're in good hands here for your pet's care.

What a wonderful, compassionate group of professionals! Everyone from the veterinarian to the assistants to the front desk were just so friendly, compassionate, and caring. I had an emergency issue with my cat, and they literally got me an appointment within 20 minutes. They went through all the options and pricing line by line before starting treatment. The communication through email, text, and the online portal were 100% thorough and timely. In my case, everything turned out well for my cat, thanks to Bond. Dr. Arth was in communication, even on her day off. We all know it can be so hit or miss with basic services in Brooklyn. I’m extremely happy to have found my go-to veterinarian! Oh, and parking is really easy!

Absolutely recommend this place for dog(s). Having moved here now recently, my dog was in need of a health checkup and updated shots. Setting up the appointment was easy online and I took advantage of their Wednesday promotion for heartworm testing. Sharing his past medical history was easy too and just took a few minutes to complete the form. The place was clean, the staff welcoming and the vet kind and loving to my dog Dozer. They walked me through everything, connected me to additional resources I needed and then helped me understand their pricing for services and asked me, without guilting, what I wanted to proceed with. At the end of the they didn't charge for one service since they were able to do it quickly themselves which was a pleasant surprise. They even followed up that evening and the next morning by text and email. I'm just blown away by the quality and level of service. Highly, highly recommend for your dog needs.
