STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR. I took my beloved dog to her for his eye problems. She was super rude, super bossy, kept us waiting, claimed to have a ton of different meds that she has formulated for this "special eye problem", then she sent in her assistant to tell me I need to pay $350 for an "extended exam" because I asked too many questions. I tried to reason with these people , but they would not agree to charge a regular exam fee, ( even though no such discussion of an "extended exam" was ever brought up previously. Then after I paid the hefty $350 exam fee, I wanted to buy all the meditations that she claimed would help my poor baby's eyes, but then she sent in her office manager to tell me they won't sell us the treatments or schedule future visits because we questioned her too much. Stay away from this place. We are filing a complaint with the Medical Board as well.

Welcome to Boldy Kathleen DVM
Boldy Kathleen DVM is a veterinary practice situated at 11716 San Vicente Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90049, USA. Specializing in veterinary ophthalmology, this clinic caters to the specific and often complex eye care needs of pets. As a "Pet Hospital" category platform, Boldy Kathleen DVM aims to provide specialized medical services, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical intervention for a wide range of ocular conditions affecting animals.
The practice's central location in Los Angeles makes it accessible to pet owners in the surrounding areas seeking highly specialized eye care for their beloved companions. The facility is designed to accommodate the unique requirements of ophthalmological examinations and procedures, which often necessitate specific equipment and a controlled environment. While specific details about the interior design and waiting areas are not readily available, a veterinary ophthalmology clinic typically maintains a clean, sterile, and calming atmosphere to ensure the comfort of both pets and their owners during what can be a stressful time.
Services offered at Boldy Kathleen DVM primarily revolve around animal eye health. This includes comprehensive ophthalmic examinations, which go beyond a routine check-up to assess the intricate structures of the eye and detect subtle abnormalities. Such exams often involve specialized tools like ophthalmoscopes, slit lamps, and tonometers to measure intraocular pressure. The clinic would also provide diagnostic services such as tear production tests, corneal staining, and potentially imaging techniques like ocular ultrasound, to accurately identify the root cause of eye problems. For conditions requiring medical management, the practice would dispense or prescribe a variety of ophthalmic medications, including drops, ointments, and oral treatments formulated for animal use. A key aspect of their service offering, particularly highlighted by customer feedback, is eye surgery. Dr. Boldy is noted for her expertise as an animal eye surgeon, suggesting that the clinic is equipped to perform delicate procedures such as cataract removal, glaucoma surgery, eyelid corrections, and addressing retinal detachments, among other complex ophthalmic surgeries. Post-operative care and follow-up appointments are also crucial components of their service, ensuring proper healing and recovery for surgical patients.
The distinguishing feature of Boldy Kathleen DVM lies in its specialization. Unlike general veterinary practices that cover a broad spectrum of animal health issues, this clinic focuses solely on ophthalmology. This specialization implies a deeper level of knowledge, experience, and access to advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment specific to eye conditions. Dr. Kathleen Boldy's reputation as a talented and extraordinary eye surgeon for animals is a significant characteristic, with one reviewer even stating she is "recommended by other animal ophthalmologists when the circumstances are grim." This suggests that the clinic handles highly complex and challenging cases, often when other veterinary professionals have exhausted their options. The ability to address critical eye problems and achieve positive outcomes in dire situations truly sets this practice apart.
Promotional information, based on the available data, emphasizes Dr. Boldy's unparalleled qualifications and surgical prowess. Testimonials, while mixed, highlight her ability to deliver results where others could not. For instance, the review stating, "This genius helped my cat when everyone else gave up," serves as a powerful endorsement of the clinic's capabilities in handling difficult cases. This kind of anecdotal evidence, when positive, is often a strong promotional tool in the veterinary field, as pet owners value expertise and successful outcomes. The phone number (310) 571-9151 and mobile number +1 310-571-9151 are critical pieces of promotional information, providing direct contact for scheduling appointments or inquiries. For a specialized clinic, referrals from general veterinarians are also a significant source of new patients, indicating that their reputation within the veterinary community plays a key role in their outreach. While no specific discount offers or limited-time promotions are mentioned, the implied promotion is the promise of highly specialized and expert care for animal eye conditions, which for many pet owners, is invaluable.
It is important to acknowledge that customer experiences at Boldy Kathleen DVM appear to be polarized. One review describes a highly negative encounter, citing issues such as rudeness, long waiting times, unexpected charges for an "extended exam," and a refusal to sell treatments or schedule future visits due to questioning. This perspective suggests potential concerns regarding communication, transparency in billing, and customer service. The reviewer also mentions filing a complaint with the Medical Board, which indicates a serious level of dissatisfaction. On the other hand, a strongly positive review praises Dr. Boldy as "talented and an absolute extraordinary eye surgeon for animals," highlighting her ability to save a cat when "everyone else gave up." This review also refers to her as "an amazing human being." The stark contrast in these reviews suggests that while Dr. Boldy may possess exceptional surgical skills, the overall patient experience can vary significantly. Potential clients should consider this divergence in feedback and perhaps conduct their own due diligence, such as a preliminary consultation, to assess if the clinic's approach aligns with their expectations. The emphasis for a promotional narrative would therefore need to carefully balance the undeniable expertise with an understanding of potential customer service perceptions.
In summary, Boldy Kathleen DVM stands as a highly specialized veterinary ophthalmology practice in Los Angeles, California. Its primary appeal lies in the acclaimed surgical skills and specialized knowledge of Dr. Kathleen Boldy, particularly for challenging and severe eye conditions in animals. While the environment is expected to be tailored for ophthalmic care, and services cover a comprehensive range from diagnostics to complex surgeries, prospective clients should be aware of the varied customer experiences reported. The clinic's unique selling proposition remains its deep expertise in a niche field of veterinary medicine, offering hope for pets facing grim eye prognoses.

Sep 25, 2012 · michel simentoI brought my elderly, eyesight-challenged dog to Dr. Boldy, but I couldn't afford her fee. Dr. Boldy would NOT help at all. She only cared about money.
