AVOID AVOID AVOID I took my cat here to get spayed which was $300 (including a shot) no biggie there. The problem lays with the fact when I scheduled the appointment they told me 5:30 was the latest we could pick up, that worked for the schedule then day off they call hounding and demanding that the cat gets picked up at 3 forcing loss of wages by having to leave work early to pick cat up. Upon arriving they don’t even have a cone ready to go for my cat they CHARGE YOU again just for the cone and nor do they even put it on for you. The front desk are extremely rude, nasty, and treat you like an idiot. There are plenty of vets in the surrounding area that will go out of their way to make sure transactions and procedures like this go without concern because here they don’t even care that getting.a stressful procedure is enough and add on more difficulties and stress. Once my cat gets her stitches removed I will be looking for a new vet for my animals. I’d advice anyone reading reviews looks elsewhere. *** EDIT *** I called to discuss this absurd situation and the front desk lady immediately got an attitude saying “do you want a manager or what because I’m not doing this with you” and informed me the reason there wasn’t a cone on my cat was because “we have to pay for one” and “it’s too traumatic to take the cat out of the carrier to put the cone on and put them back in” but yet somehow trying to hold my cat down myself and put a cone on that I DON’T know how to operate is less stressful? And the manager was EXTREMELY rude they told me they “don’t always send a cone home” and that it’s “owners discretion” for a surgery that CAN NOT be licked and she told me the reason the cat didn’t have a cone already on it was because “if she’s not licking it we don’t put it on” which a cat fresh out of surgery and groggy is obviously not going to worry that second but why are we getting two different answers from two different people. The manager decided to get loud which turned into a yelling match and resulted in her screaming “goodbye” and hanging up. This place TRULY does not care about animals and only wants money. They should lose their practice, their licenses, and their jobs.

Welcome to Boght Veterinary Clinic

Welcome to the introduction of Boght Veterinary Clinic, a local Pet Hospital situated at 1165 Loudon Rd, Cohoes, NY 12047, USA. Operating under the category of Pet Hospital, Boght Veterinary Clinic aims to provide veterinary care services and potentially offer related goods for sale to pet owners in the Cohoes area and its surroundings. You can reach them at their landline phone number: (518) 785-0718 or their mobile phone number: +1 518-785-0718.

As a local Pet Hospital, Boght Veterinary Clinic likely offers a range of services typically associated with veterinary care. These services generally include routine check-ups and wellness examinations to ensure the overall health of your pets. Vaccinations, a crucial aspect of preventive care, are usually administered to protect animals from various diseases. For pet owners looking to prevent unwanted litters and address certain health concerns, spaying and neutering procedures are commonly offered.

Beyond these fundamental services, a Pet Hospital like Boght Veterinary Clinic may also provide diagnostic services. This could involve laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations to help identify underlying health issues. Imaging technologies like X-rays might be available to visualize internal structures and aid in diagnosing injuries or illnesses. Depending on the clinic's capabilities, they might also offer more advanced diagnostic procedures.

In cases of illness or injury, veterinary clinics provide medical treatment. This can range from administering medications and providing supportive care to managing chronic conditions. Surgical procedures, from routine surgeries like spays and neuters to more complex operations, may also be part of the services offered. Dental care is another important aspect of pet health, and clinics often provide services such as teeth cleaning and extractions.

The environment of a Pet Hospital plays a significant role in the comfort and well-being of both pets and their owners. Ideally, a veterinary clinic should offer a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Comfortable waiting areas can help to reduce stress for animals before their appointments. Examination rooms should be well-equipped to facilitate thorough and efficient consultations. Depending on the scope of services, the clinic may also have dedicated surgical suites, recovery areas for post-operative care, and potentially even boarding facilities for pets needing to stay overnight or for extended periods.

Features that can enhance the quality of care at a Pet Hospital include having a team of qualified and compassionate veterinary professionals. This includes licensed veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff who are dedicated to animal welfare. Access to up-to-date medical equipment and technologies can also contribute to more accurate diagnoses and effective treatments. A focus on client communication and education is another valuable feature, ensuring that pet owners are well-informed about their animal's health and treatment plans.

To provide a balanced perspective, it's important to consider feedback from actual customers. Online reviews can offer insights into the experiences of other pet owners with Boght Veterinary Clinic. The provided reviews present a mixed picture. One review expresses significant dissatisfaction, detailing issues with appointment scheduling, unexpected charges for a cone, and what the reviewer perceived as rude and unhelpful behavior from the front desk staff and the manager. This reviewer strongly advises others to seek veterinary care elsewhere, citing a lack of care for animals and an alleged focus solely on financial gain.

Conversely, another reviewer offers a positive experience, stating that they have been bringing their dog to Boght Veterinary Clinic for years and highly recommend them. This contrasting feedback highlights the subjective nature of individual experiences and suggests that others have had positive interactions with the clinic.

It is important for local users to consider both positive and negative feedback when evaluating a Pet Hospital. Individual experiences can vary, and it may be beneficial to consider a range of factors beyond online reviews, such as the clinic's location, services offered, the qualifications of the veterinary team, and the overall atmosphere of the facility. Visiting the clinic for a preliminary consultation or speaking with staff members directly can also provide valuable insights.

Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given data. However, Pet Hospitals often engage in promotional activities to attract new clients and inform existing ones about their services. These promotions might include introductory offers for new patients, discounts on specific procedures (such as vaccinations or dental cleanings), or wellness packages that bundle essential services at a reduced price. Local users are encouraged to contact Boght Veterinary Clinic directly to inquire about any current promotions or special offers they may have.

In summary, Boght Veterinary Clinic, located in Cohoes, NY, operates as a Pet Hospital offering a range of veterinary services. While one customer review expresses significant concerns regarding customer service and unexpected charges, another reviewer speaks positively of their long-term experience with the clinic. Local users are advised to consider all available information and potentially contact or visit the clinic to make an informed decision about their pet's care. Understanding the specific services offered, the environment of the clinic, and the qualifications of the staff will contribute to choosing the best veterinary care provider for their beloved animals.

The staff and doctors are amazing. You can tell how much they love animals and it means a lot to a pet owner. Although my cats hate going to the vet they never fail to make the vet smile and the vet never fails to make me smile.😻❤ Naomi's (grey kitty) bite wound had healed nicely & the fur is slowly growing back. She was bit by her previous owners male cat & the wound was infected, which resulted in it opening & pus coming out.😢 Not only was she new to our home, but we had to traumatize her again with 2 vet visits.😲😾💔 However, it has been about a month now and she is really coming out of her shell. My tiger siblings Gouda and Cici (both 3 - birthday 7/6/16) finally accepted her and love her.💟 The siblings remain healthy and go to Boght vet once a year every year for their check ups.😉💛 Naomi will also go once a year now (she is 9 years old).

I love this place, I Rescue and my vet was 85. To start the bill Blooming grove n. Greenbush I searched and a mentor Schoharie Cats told me about you and Oakwood. To start the bill at 58. I can work with. I rescued a cat last yr. Grayson 8 lbs starving missing 1/2 his fur 1000. Later I kept him messed up eye, ear, I save the ones nobody wants. Your practice was the only one that worked with me they loved my rescue. That touched my heart. I rescued another one baby living under dumpsters your the only vet i would recommend as the only one that worked w/ me. 😢 How sad for the homeless. Staff is always friendly vetts too. I use both of your offices Boght And Oakwood. Awesome.

I don't really understand what changed this used to be a great vet and the Drs used to care about your concerns. I think I'm going to have to change practices at this point. No explanation of services on the bill, no one introduced themselves when they entered, none of my concerns were addressed.
