We came here on 01/23/25 We were greeted with nice and caring vet techs who you can tell love their job. Talking to us and our dog. Made us feel welcome! seen Dr Matt H. He spent over an hour with us asking questions about our frenchie mix dog. After his thorough exam he explained everything regarding diagnostic test the risks and benefits, explained possible surgery if needed and medication. We chose the medication route first. Doctor started Zoey on low dose prednisone we will call back with updates on how she is doing in the dose he prescribed. I would recommend taking any animal having neurological issues they are caring, compassionate and willing to take the time to answer any and all questions and concerns that you may have. Well worth the hour and 45 minutes drive!

In 2017 I visited Dogwood Vet in Ann Arbor after my 7 year old papillon had fallen and developed paralysis of his lower back and legs. They worked with me as I was young and had just started my career, therefore didn’t have much money. I told them I would do whatever I could to pay for his care, including maxing out credit cards, deferring my student loans, etc. They gave me a quote, and a discount, (it was still very expensive though, around 4-5k), and allowed me to make payments directly to them for 4-5 months after I reached my limit for care credit and maxed out my other credit cards. The quote they gave me was to be all inclusive, it included his stay, medications, surgery, MRI, and even doggy rehab if he needed it. His surgery was a success and he made a full recovery. While I was going to work one night after he was with them I called and left a message, asking if they could email me a picture of him to help me get through my shift and shortly after I received a picture. I am forever grateful to the people at that clinic for working with my finances (within reason, I don’t expect anywhere to do anything for free or next to nothing). I heard the Ann Arbor location closed/moved to Farmington hills and then was bought out by Blue Pearl. If the same people are still working there that were in 2017, they care about your pet and they have hearts. My wonderful Marty is now 13 and doing well. Thank you so much for helping to work with me and taking such amazing care of him.

I would give them 10 stars, if I could. They are fabulous. From the time I called at 6pm they got my 3 year old basset in the next morning, because she lost the use of her back legs.. when I got there the girls at the front desk were super helpful and Dr Porter was great. They called to keep us updated on the procedures (MRI and surgery) and called to update us while she was there everyday. They gave us good instructions when we brought her home and at her 2 week check up. Five weeks post surgery our little Poppy is doing very well . She still has limitations. The surgery she had was for a herniated disk. I'm so glad my vet at Dunckel in Davison recommended Blue Pearl.

Unfortunately, we have a husky who is on the more complex side as far as managing his seizures. The doctors (Dr. Palma is our primary neurologist) and staff here have been beyond helpful and compassionate when it comes to helping us navigate through the stress that comes with caring for a special needs dog. Having inherited this dog from a suicidal family member adds even more emotion to the mix for us, and they've been so kind and understanding from the get-go. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all of your help, and for putting Charger's care and comfort as top priority

We drove over three hours to consult with Dr Porter on our paraplegic dachshund. Three days later we brought him home walking. We are so very grateful for these amazing professionals for giving him quality of life again.
