Excellent service!! New to Raleigh, and my fur buddy started developing seizures, and called, saw us immediately, honest as to care options, care started immediately. Sadly my buddy developed complications 36 hours into treatment- they met me at the car, sadly he had passed, but allowed me time to be w my buddy, were amazing in my worse moments, and were kind and patient. Thank you for all the care and kindness in one of my darkest times. I would 100% recommend them if you are looking for kind, caring and honest care from providers who do care very much about you and your fur babies!! Thank you BluePearl

While the reviews don't offer specific details about the hospital's physical environment, they strongly convey a sense of a caring and professional atmosphere. One new resident of Raleigh, whose "fur buddy" began having seizures, noted that BluePearl "saw us immediately" upon calling. This immediate attention in a stressful situation speaks to the responsiveness and readiness of the hospital to handle emergencies.
The services at BluePearl Pet Hospital encompass both emergency care and various veterinary specialties. The first reviewer's experience, although ultimately resulting in the loss of their pet due to complications, highlights several key aspects of their service. They described the team as "honest as to care options" and noted that "care started immediately." Even in the face of a tragic outcome, the staff's compassion shone through; they "met me at the car" and allowed the owner time with their pet in their final moments, demonstrating immense kindness and patience during a very dark time. This level of empathy and support is a significant feature of BluePearl's approach to care.
The second review further reinforces the compassionate nature of the team. The owner of Sugar Magnolia mentioned that their dog had been seen twice, once requiring hospitalization for nearly a week. Despite acknowledging that emergency medicine can be expensive, the reviewer felt it was "worth it" for the care their furry family member received. Remarkably, upon discharge, Sugar Magnolia "didn’t want to leave the new group of friends she had made at BluePearl," indicating the positive and caring interactions the pet had with the staff. The owner was "astonished but comforted" by how well Sugar Magnolia was treated, beyond just the necessary medical care.

Apr 10, 2025 · Sofia FilzerThe kind people at BluePearl have seen my dog, Sugar Magnolia, twice, and although emergency medicine is expensive, it’s worth it for these important furry members of the family. The first time they saw Magnolia, she was in hospital for nearly a week, and when the time came for her to be discharged, she didn’t want to leave the new group of friends she had made at BluePearl. I was truly astonished but comforted by the fact that she was treated so well, aside from the baseline of receiving appropriate medical care. Big thanks to all the folks at BluePearl!
May 04, 2025 · Kevin JansenMy Yorkie went into respiratory distress while we were away from home. We booked it to the closest emergency vet - Blue Pearl. Everyone was wonderful during our time there. The vets were in communication with me several times throughout the overnight stay. I was very pleased with the care my baby received during this scary time.
May 08, 2025 · Crystal FrazierMy foster dog, Watson, got suddenly sick last Friday night (14Mar2025) around 10pm. The rescue called around and Blue Pearl Raleigh quickly said they would accept him. I spoke to a tech during the drive since I could give a better history than the rescue. The tech was super thorough and incredibly caring. When I arrived, they helped me get him out of my car (he's a big boy) and they immediately assessed him. Everyone I interacted with at the clinic was so thoughtful and acted like he was their top priority. We were in and out incredibly fast compared to any other pet ER I have visited (I have visited 3 other pet ERs a total of 4 times since 2020). In the future, I will definitely call them first, should I need a veterinary ER. Thank you all!
Mar 16, 2025 · Angela WhiteTHIS is my beloved Toy Poodle, Roxie's TRUE, but TRAGIC Blue Pearl story! IF I could assign a "-10 star review" to Blue Pearl, I would! Blue Pearl Cares.....ONLY ABOUT MAKING LOTS OF MONEY! I first went to "Blue Pearl" on 4/5/2025, with a referral from my primary vet at "Banfield," as my vet was THINKING that Blue Pearl would do emergency surgery on Roxie, along with a "diagnostic ultrasound" and an "Ultrasound guided FNA Procedure" (needle biopsy to test her cells?) Instead, one of their vets, Dr. Stansbury SENT US HOME! I returned to "Blue Pearl" on April 7, 2025 for the desired "diagnostic ultrasound," but they FAILED TO DO THE BIOPSY and/or surgery that my primary vet had wanted them to do! AS A RESULT OF THEIR NEGLIGENCE, AND FAILURE TO PROVIDE PROPER EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE IN A TIMELY MATTER, my beloved Roxie DETERIORATED RAPIDLY, and had to be euthanized on April 9, 2025! 😢😭 Roxie WAS "stable" on April 4, 2025 at "Banfield," but X-rays showed she had a "mass" in her abdomen! We NEVER FOUND OUT what the "mass" was, or what it was attached to, or IF it was malignant or benign! The mass had apparently ruptured, causing internal bleeding. The costs of treatment at Blue Pearl are SUPER EXPENSIVE, so you better be prepared to "pay through the nose for treatment!" My beloved dog, Roxie, WAS my "entire world!" I am super angry at them for treating my beloved Roxie like "dirt," and NOT PROVIDING HER WITH PROPER EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE!😡😡😡😡😡 Personally, I would NEVER bring another animal to THIS North Raleigh animal hospital expecting to get "quality emergency medical care" from them. Their charitable arm, "Blue Pearl Cares," which SUPPOSEDLY provides care for pets in need, is a FARCE if you ask me! One of their front desk receptionists told me, "I did NOT qualify for this financial help (basically BECAUSE I have good credit,) and was approved for a loan through 'Scratch Pay." Strictly "income wise," I SHOULD have more than qualified for a reduced cost! I was told any "aid" given was left up to the vet, and was based on the animal's prognosis. That's totally unacceptable and unconscienable in my opinion! The two photos are of my dog Roxie on April 4, 2025, and then on April 9, 2025, when she had to be euthanized, basically BECAUSE OF Blue Pearl's FAILURE TO GIVE HER PROPER EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE IN A TIMELY MANNER!
