I can’t give enough compliments and thanks, in this small space, for the compassion and care my dog received. I’ve never needed the care of an ER vet, but my Yorkie got sick so fast, while we were visiting here in NC. I’m so glad I found BluePearl. The vets and techs took the time to really explain what was going on and when we had to come back two days later, they helped me understand that I was making the right choice to let my dog go and I wasn’t just giving up on him. The room they set us up in was comfortable and private, they brought him to me wrapped up in a soft fleece blanket and gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye. They gently explained the process and gave me loving support. I know my dog received the best care possible. I hope anyone reading this review will know their pets will be loved and taken care of if you decide to take them to Blue Pearl. Thank you everyone at Blue Pearl.

Although BluePearl Pet Hospital's physical location is in the USA, understanding the hallmarks of a high-quality pet hospital like BluePearl can empower pet owners in Singapore to make informed decisions about their own local veterinary care options. The principles of compassionate care, expert medical services, and a supportive environment are universal standards that every pet owner seeks.
Environment: A Welcoming and Comfortable Space
Based on customer feedback, BluePearl Pet Hospital prioritizes creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for both pets and their owners. The reviews highlight the provision of private and comfortable rooms, especially during sensitive times such as saying goodbye to a beloved pet. This suggests a focus on minimizing stress and anxiety often associated with veterinary visits. A well-designed pet hospital should offer clean, well-maintained spaces, including examination rooms, waiting areas, and specialized treatment areas. The emphasis on providing a soft fleece blanket for a pet in their final moments speaks volumes about the level of care and consideration offered. When choosing a local pet hospital in Singapore, look for facilities that demonstrate attention to creating a calming and supportive atmosphere.
Comprehensive Range of Services
While the provided information doesn't list all specific services, the mention of emergency care ("ER vet") and the involvement of a veterinarian (Dr. De Silva) and veterinary technicians indicates a capacity to handle a range of medical needs, from routine check-ups to urgent situations. The positive outcome for the Yorkie who presented with sudden symptoms suggests diagnostic capabilities and the expertise to accurately assess and address health concerns. A comprehensive pet hospital typically offers services such as:
- Routine wellness exams and vaccinations
- Diagnostic imaging (e.g., X-rays, ultrasound)
- Laboratory services
- Surgical procedures (both routine and specialized)
- Dental care
- Emergency and critical care
- Specialty services (e.g., cardiology, neurology, oncology, dermatology)
- Pharmacy services for medications and supplies
When evaluating pet hospitals in Singapore, inquire about the specific services offered to ensure they meet your pet's potential needs.

Jan 25, 2025 · Donna JonesWe brought our 8 year old Yorkie in because out of nowhere she began to cough followed by her losing her balance and very slowly going to her bed. We took her to BluePearl where the receptionist, nurse and veterinarian Dr. De Silva took excellent care of us. He found nothing wrong with her, and he was correct because she has returned to her old self. His reassurance allowed us to get through the evening and night in peace and our doggie is fine!
Apr 25, 2025 · Joseph RodriguezI cannot say enough good things about the kindness and compassion of the incredible staff at both the Durham and Cary locations. When my puppy needed emergency surgery to remove an obstruction the Cary team took amazing care of him (and me), kept me regularly updated, and even sent pictures to help lessen my worry. We’re all so grateful for everyone here and the care they provided during an extremely stressful time.
Dec 03, 2024 · nancy garrett-meadI’m extremely disappointed with the experience I had at your facility. I wish I had gotten the name of the male tech who assisted us—he was the only person who showed kindness, empathy, and professionalism during our visit. He deserves recognition for that. Unfortunately, the rest of the visit was deeply upsetting. A woman came out to ask questions about my cat, who is unwell, and repeatedly ignored me, only addressing my boyfriend. Every time I spoke, she refused to look at me or acknowledge what I was saying. It felt incredibly disrespectful and dismissive. Then we met the doctor, who also lacked any empathy. She spoke to both of us in a condescending and patronizing tone, as if we were stupid. We explained that we were concerned about our cat and trying to explore affordable options, yet she presented us with a $4,500 estimate and then said, “It’s just $100 for medication,” as if that was somehow helpful or reassuring. If it’s “just” $100, perhaps she should have considered our financial concerns more seriously. Her attitude was cold and unkind during what was clearly a stressful and emotional situation for us. I used to work at Banfield, so I was actively looking into other realistic care options. When I pulled up wellness plans that include urinalysis, the doctor looked at my phone and said, “You know those are for healthy animals, not sick ones.” I explained that I was aware of what I was doing and what the plans include, but again, I was met with disrespect and condescension instead of support. I wish I had been able to record her tone and behavior to truly capture how demeaning the experience was. Whether it was due to racial bias, a lack of professionalism, or both, I shouldn’t have to question why I was being treated so poorly. When people come to you for help—especially in emotionally charged situations involving their pets—they deserve to be treated with compassion and basic human decency. Not everything is about money. If you’re in this profession, empathy should come first. I didn’t get her name, but she was a doctor with tattoos all over her arms. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. No one should leave a vet clinic feeling belittled and unheard when all they’re trying to do is care for their sick pet.
Apr 06, 2025 · nyii williamsAppreciated their understanding how big an issue cost was for us in my cat’s emergency situation and their efforts to keep the cost down … though expensive , the care came out under their estimated range. The vets and staff I spoke with several times, including a call for advice several days after treatment, were kind and and helpful in every interaction.
