I took my kitty to the ER after getting very concerning blood results from my regular vet. She ended up having to stay for 5 days, needing regular care to get her back to stable condition. I have never had a better experience than with this hospital. Yes it was extremely expensive, but I got at least two phone calls a day about how she was doing, when I visited they gave me updates about how she was doing, and they were very communicative about her care and things they suggested without being pushy. Even after she was discharged, I was able to contact the techs and main vet assigned to her case consistently which really made me less anxious about my kitty's road to recovery. Our 9 year old golden had a fast growing lump that we had biopsied at his regular vet. This showed abnormal cells with concerns for a soft tissue sarcoma. Give the size of the lump we knew the tumor removal would be a big surgery and that we needed a skilled surgeon. This led us to do our research in choosing the right specialty center - I had consults at 3 places around greater Seattle. After my consultation with Dr. Chambers at Blue Pearl I knew she was the one. From the beginning the communication with the surgical team was fantastic. When we arrived for our consultation they were on time for our appointment and took us right back. After Allen (our dog) was evaluated Dr. Chambers came in and explained her assessment, what the surgical plan would be and talked through the various “what if” scenarios. Several things I loved about her care: she was very loving towards our dog, petting and snuggling him while we chatted. She was extremely thorough and it felt like she would have given us as much time as we needed to talk through everything. The appointment was never rushed. She was very realistic in the pros and cons and also very knowledgeable in recent studies, and how to approach his tumor. We decided to go with Dr. Chambers and two weeks later he went in for successful removal of the tumor. The surgical team notified me at the start of his surgery and Dr. Chambers called me herself when it was over to discuss everything. Again the communication was fantastic. This was a big surgery.. his mass was large and the incision is about 9 inches long. He had to come home with a drain for several days as well as a big pressure dressing. Again, the surgical team gave us great attention and care as they explained the details of emptying his drain and making sure we optimized his medications for recovery. We were seen again about ten days post op when they were able to take his sutures out and “sign off” his care. His tumor was identified as a peripheral nerve sheath tumor (soft tissue sarcoma). We are lucky that our skilled surgeon was able to remove the entire tumor with clear margins and hopefully this gives us several more years with our sweet boy! I can’t say enough about the exceptional care and compassion I received at BluePearl Animal Hospital in Kirkland. My sweet dog, Niles, was rushed there in an emergency, and despite their best efforts—including going above and beyond with additional procedures to try to save him—ultimately, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go. Throughout this incredibly difficult time, the staff at BluePearl were nothing short of amazing. The veterinarian took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, showing true empathy for what I was going through. When I made the decision to say goodbye, they provided a quiet, peaceful space with dim lights and a calming sound machine, allowing me to stay with Niles and hold him for as long as I needed. What truly touched me was that just recently, I received a card from them in the mail, honoring my sweet boy. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture that I will forever appreciate. In the most difficult moments of pet ownership, it’s so comforting to know that there are people who truly care. BluePearl Animal Hospital made a painful experience as peaceful as possible, and I am deeply grateful for their support and compassion during such a challenging time. We brought our dog in for what we thought was a minor issue and found out she had a large internal tumor and it was the cause. The vet was very clear on the risks and possible outcomes. They were able to do surgery. The team did a great job keeping us informed and let us know when to expect updates. They also let us visit with her before surgery. We used Blue Pearl in Seattle before and now the Kirkland location and both times really felt they took good care of our dog and appreciated the good communication at a stressful time. Really appreciate having a 24/7 ER option close to home.

I cannot recommend Blue Pearl Veterinary in Kirkland enough for the exceptional care they've provided for our German Shepherd, Rowdy, throughout his rehabilitation and recovery from an injury. The staff has been consistently professional, attentive, and compassionate during every visit, especially when it came to his bandage changes. What truly sets Blue Pearl apart is their personable and friendly approach. Every veterinary professional we've interacted with has shown genuine care for Rowdy's well-being. They have always taken the time to answer any of our questions with patience and clarity, ensuring we never feel rushed or overlooked. This level of communication and empathy has been incredibly comforting during what could have been a stressful time for us. From the moment we first walked in, the staff has been nothing short of encouraging and supportive, not only for Rowdy but also for the many other pets and clients we've seen during our visits. It's clear that Blue Pearl's commitment to compassionate care extends to every animal they treat. While I hope we won't need to bring any of our pets back for serious care in the future, I would not hesitate to do so. Blue Pearl has made a challenging experience much easier to navigate, and for that, we are truly grateful.
