Outstanding in every way! We were referred from our primary veterinary clinic to a specialist for a liver work up for our 9 year old Labrador Retriever. I was put at ease from the first call to schedule our appointment and procedure. They got us an appointment quickly and we got everything done in one day. Everyone involved in our pup’s care, the front desk staff, the vet technicians, and the doctors, are all dedicated to the care of animals and it shows in their work and demeanor. We felt like our dog was in the best hands possible for his care. The technician explained what was going to happen and what we could expect down to the minute, including costs that may be associated with the visit before any treatment was given. The doctor spent a lot of time explaining what he found and what our options are. We were not rushed or pushed towards anything, the doctor gave us his recommendations and laid out the treatment plans for us to choose or not. There was no pressure, just understanding and respect. Such a refreshing experience. I highly recommend Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Grand Rapids. Our dog is a huge part of our family and they took care of him like he is a part of theirs.

I appreciate the staff's compassion and care for my Lilly Bean. In particular, the technician working Thursday and Friday night, after 8p, was exceptional. I hope she knows how much her compassion and patience dealing with a neurotic dog mom meant to me. I also can not thank Dr. Brand enough for her swift decision to recommend Beans to stay overnight so she could be seen by Internal med the next morning. Dr. Kim's knowledge about the case made me feel confident having Lilly Beans in their care. Lastly, Dr. Conflitti, your endearing comments about my sweet little girl, and taking the time to let us tell you all about the little fur baby she really is, helped us more than you know. Leaving your fur kid overnight is so hard, but knowing that Lilly's bed and blanket situation was up to her very high standards helped me feel better about leaving her for another night. I knew she was comfortable and starting to be more like herself. Everyone was wonderful, truly. I know cost is often brought up in reviews. Sometimes its hard for even the best pet parents to afford the veterinary care our pet's needs, and sometimes pet owners confuse and misplace their feelings on the caregivers. After 3 days of care, we definitely had a hefty bill (to be expected for the around-the-clock care Beans received). But every day, and every time I spoke with any staff member, the teamwork that was demonstrated and all the knowledge and experience they shared, I knew and understood how valueable this all was to get my pup better. Right down to every test that was recommended and completed, leading to Lilly Beans treatments and steady improvement, I felt it was worth every penny for everything they do. Thank you Blue Pearl Team. Lilly is looking forward to getting back to to her adventures with her sister Rye.

The veterinary technicians and doctors at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Grand Rapids are absolutely wonderful! I had to bring my kitty in for new-onset seizures, and the team was incredibly patient, kind, and thorough every step of the way. They answered all of my questions and treated my cat with such care and compassion—they even tucked her in after giving her medication! Dr. Shilloff was amazing and helped make a really scary experience feel a little less overwhelming. I wish I could remember the names of all the vet technicians who cared for her, because every single one of them made a difference. I’m so thankful for the entire team and the way they supported us during such a difficult time.

I have been blown away by the care that my cat, Penny, has received at BluePearl. Dr. Kim, Dr. Conkling, Dr. Swanson and all of their support staff are so wonderful. The doctors and their staff have been extremely kind, patient, communicative, thorough, and professional throughout their interactions with me and they treat my cat as though she is their own. There was a point in time during my cat’s care where we thought she wouldn’t make it after surgery, but due to the highly collaborative nature of the BluePearl specialty teams, the surgical and internal medicine teams were able to work together to save her life. For that, I am eternally grateful. I live near Lansing in close proximity to a couple of well known animal emergency/specialty facilities, but my experiences at those clinics have paled in comparison to BluePearl. If ever I encounter another situation that requires specialty care for my animals, I will always opt for BluePearl over the local options in spite of the longer commute. I can’t recommend this place enough!

We took our dog to Blue Pearl internal med because our dog was sick and the pieces weren’t fitting together. They accurately diagnosed him and we began treatment right away. The entire experience was amazing. The facility is clean and bright and the staff is outstanding, very professional, and have excellent bedside manner. I can’t recommend Blue Pearl enough for saving my dog’s life!
