I showed up for my appointment that I made 3 days prior with my dog AND my very sick 13-year-old cat who desperately needed to be seen. I come in and the lady at the desk informs me that she can’t find my appointment. Eventually after looking some more, she informs me that my appointment had been cancelled. I did not cancel my appointment. She asked if I ever got a text message about the appointment. I did not, and I even showed her on my phone that I did not receive one. She said no problem, we can still see you today but you will have to pay a $100 walk-in fee. What? How is that fair? This was not a walk-in! I made my appointment! I understand businesses have policies that they have to follow, but this is ridiculous. You want me to pay $100 for an error on your part? Why would I have shown up for my appointment with my dog and my sick elderly cat if I had canceled it myself? That just sounds silly. Someone who worked there took it upon themselves to cancel my appointment, for whatever reason, and that’s not my fault! I understand that the computer was showing that the appointment had been canceled, but again, I’m there telling you I didn’t cancel it. Why would I be there?! She didn’t care. I don’t have the extra money right now to pay an extra $100 (on top of whatever I would’ve had to pay for my pets) just because of an error on YOUR STAFF’S PART. So I left with my babies, took them back home, and called another vet and made an appointment for later that same day. So I once again had to put my sick cat, who is very hard to put into a carrier as it’s very stressful on him, into said carrier and drive him to a different vet with him screaming and meowing again the whole way. Again, I do understand business policies, but I felt this was unfair and ridiculous because it was nothing I did and was out of my control. This was something you guys did and you didn’t even try to make it right. My cat was diagnosed with cancer later that day. And I don’t care about the frustration and anger that this caused me… I’m very upset about the unnecessary extra stress that was put on my cat that day when the whole time he had cancer! What a shame. I’m sure you all make enough money already that you don’t need to scam me and my sick cat for $100 extra. No compassion whatsoever.

Welcome to Blue Paw Primary Pet Care
Welcome, local pet owners of Singapore! While Blue Paw Primary Pet Care is physically located at 3101 Richmond Rd Ste 306, Lexington, KY 40509, USA, we understand the importance of finding reliable veterinary care for your beloved animal companions. As a platform category focusing on 'Pet Hospital,' we aim to provide you with a detailed introduction to Blue Paw Primary Pet Care based on publicly available information, particularly customer reviews found online. This will help you understand the potential environment, services, features, and gain insights from the experiences of other pet owners, even though the clinic is geographically distant.
Blue Paw Primary Pet Care operates as a pet hospital, suggesting it offers a range of veterinary services beyond basic care. Pet hospitals typically provide facilities for medical examinations, treatments, surgeries, and potentially hospitalization for animals. The presence of a phone number, (859) 551-0031 and a mobile number, +1 859-551-0031, indicates that they are reachable for appointments and inquiries. The physical address confirms their location within Lexington, Kentucky.
To understand the environment and services offered at Blue Paw Primary Pet Care, we can turn to the available customer reviews. It's important to note that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not reflect the entirety of the clinic's operations. However, they offer valuable perspectives.
One review details a significantly negative experience regarding appointment handling and customer service. The customer recounts arriving for a pre-scheduled appointment with both a dog and a very sick cat, only to be informed that the appointment was cancelled on their end without notification. Despite the customer's insistence that they did not cancel, they were allegedly asked to pay a $100 walk-in fee to be seen. The reviewer expresses frustration and disappointment with this policy application, especially given the circumstances of their sick pet and the alleged error on the clinic's part. This review highlights a potential issue with appointment management and the handling of unforeseen administrative errors. It also raises concerns about the level of empathy and flexibility shown in this particular situation.
Another review presents a mixed experience. The customer acknowledges being late for a scheduled vaccination appointment for their dogs. They commend the person on the phone for being understanding when informed of the delay. However, upon arrival, a different staff member at the front desk strictly enforced a "15 minutes late" policy, demanding a walk-in fee or rescheduling, despite the empty waiting room. The reviewer appreciated the enforcement of policy but felt the situation could have been handled with more empathy, especially considering the prior phone conversation. Subsequently, the staff member who had spoken to the customer on the phone called back to apologize, which was appreciated by the reviewer. This review illustrates a potential inconsistency in customer service approaches within the clinic and suggests that while policies are in place, their application and the accompanying communication can significantly impact customer experience.
Based on these reviews, it is challenging to definitively describe the typical environment of Blue Paw Primary Pet Care. One review implies a potentially rigid adherence to policies, even in situations where flexibility might be warranted. The other review suggests that while some staff members are understanding and apologetic, there might be inconsistencies in how policies are applied and communicated at the front desk.
Regarding services, the initial information categorizes Blue Paw Primary Pet Care as a 'Pet Hospital.' This generally implies a broad range of services, which could include:
- Routine check-ups and wellness exams
- Vaccinations
- Parasite prevention (flea, tick, heartworm)
- Dental care
- Diagnostic services (blood work, X-rays, etc.)
- Surgical procedures
- Management of illnesses and injuries
- Hospitalization and overnight care
- Emergency services (depending on their specific capabilities)
- Potentially specialized services depending on the veterinarians on staff
However, the provided reviews do not offer specific details about the range or quality of these medical services themselves. They primarily focus on administrative and customer service aspects.
In terms of features, a pet hospital typically boasts facilities equipped for various medical procedures and patient care. This might include examination rooms, a surgical suite, a laboratory for diagnostic testing, and kennels or wards for hospitalized animals. The reviews do not provide insights into the physical facilities or the technology available at Blue Paw Primary Pet Care.
Regarding promotional information, none is provided in the given data. Therefore, we cannot comment on any specific offers or promotions that Blue Paw Primary Pet Care might be running.
In summary, based on the limited information and the provided customer reviews, Blue Paw Primary Pet Care is a pet hospital located in Lexington, KY. While the category suggests a comprehensive range of veterinary services, the customer reviews highlight potential concerns regarding appointment handling, the rigid application of certain policies, and inconsistencies in customer service at the front desk. However, one positive aspect mentioned is the apologetic and understanding nature of at least one staff member. It is crucial for potential clients to consider these experiences alongside the general expectations of a pet hospital when evaluating their options for veterinary care.
For local users in Singapore, while Blue Paw Primary Pet Care may not be a direct option due to geographical distance, understanding the experiences of pet owners elsewhere can provide valuable insights into the importance of clear communication, flexible policies, and empathetic customer service when choosing a local veterinary clinic. We encourage you to research local pet hospitals in Singapore, considering factors such as their service offerings, environment, and reviews from other pet owners in your community to ensure the best possible care for your beloved pets.

Mar 08, 2025 · Jasmine SyllaUsed to love this place. Today I had a really bad experience - Had an appointment to get shots to my dogs - I was running late (this is totally my fault!) - but I did call and let them know, a very nice person was on the phone and reassured me that it was fine. Got there 14 minutes late, the person at the front desk (different person) - very quicky let me know that their policy is '15 minutes late and you either pay a walk-in fee ($15) or you reschedule". I tried to explain to her that I had called, and I was running late because we are leaving on vacation - and she just chose to argue with me and stand her ground with the company policy. - this is a tricky one - because while I do appreciate and respect the fact that she was enforcing company policy - If the place would have been packed (the waiting room was empty) - and she would have said it in a nicer way, I'd have had no problem at all rescheduling or paying their extra fee. That being said, the person that I had spoken to on the phone called me back, she was awfully nice and gave me a very well needed apology, and I appreciate that very much. Thank you! You are awesome!. Unfortunately by then I had already driven away and was looking for an alternative to take my dogs to.
Aug 09, 2024 · Max KIt was convenient location for me, but they never got to the bottom of my dogs skin issues. Never felt heard as my dog has been dealing with this for years all they would do is give medication that wouldn’t help or suggest a steroid shot. Don’t waste your time and money
Feb 04, 2025 · Arjeta AjetiWe just moved into town and had our first visit at this location today. Our dog has TERRIBLE anxiety at the vet and the staff was exceptionally accommodating and helpful. From the receptionist when I first made the appointment to the vet tech and doctor when it came to making the visit work. We've had previous vets that wouldn't even try to attempt to look at our dog's ear infection unless she was sedated. Thank you Blue Paw for making our girl feel better and for making her feel welcome at the office!!
Nov 22, 2024 · Dalton WilliamsFriendly staff, good with pets. Some things are still costly due to the nature of the visit but they will tell you the cost up front. So, you do not ha e to do it. Otherwise, a good place to take your pet. On a side note, do not be a jerk or jerket if you are unhappy. Politely express yourself, settle your bill, and leave. It is insane they have to put a sign up like in my picture because or jerkaholics. You do not have to come back if you are unhappy.
