Blue Paw Primary Pet Care Introduce
Welcome to the introduction of Blue Paw Primary Pet Care, a dedicated Pet Hospital located in Lexington, Kentucky, USA. As a vital resource for local pet owners, Blue Paw Primary Pet Care aims to provide comprehensive veterinary services and goods to ensure the health and well-being of your beloved animals. Situated at 185 Pasadena Dr, Lexington, KY 40503, this pet hospital is committed to serving the community with professional and caring services.
Based on information available, Blue Paw Primary Pet Care can be categorized as a full-service Pet Hospital. This means they likely offer a wide array of medical and surgical services to address various health needs of pets. While specific details about the environment of the clinic are not explicitly mentioned, a well-regarded veterinary practice typically ensures a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for both pets and their owners. This includes well-equipped examination rooms, surgical suites if applicable, and potentially waiting areas designed to minimize stress for animals.
The services offered at Blue Paw Primary Pet Care appear to be comprehensive, based on the available information. One positive review highlights the helpful and knowledgeable staff who are described as "extremely kind" to dogs. This suggests a focus on compassionate care. The review also mentions that the staff is "always ready to answer questions, address concerns, and call back promptly," indicating a commitment to clear communication and client support. Furthermore, the mention of an "online pharmacy" suggests that Blue Paw Primary Pet Care provides a convenient way for pet owners to obtain prescription medications and potentially other pet-related products online, with "good pricing" being a noted benefit.
Features of Blue Paw Primary Pet Care, as gleaned from the reviews, include a knowledgeable and helpful staff, a willingness to address client concerns and answer questions, and the convenience of an online pharmacy. The reasonable service charges mentioned in one review could also be considered a positive feature for cost-conscious pet owners. These aspects collectively suggest a practice that values both the medical well-being of pets and the satisfaction of their owners.
However, it is important to present a balanced view based on all available information. One customer reported a negative experience involving a perceived misdiagnosis of their dog's condition. This review details concerns about not being listened to, the prescription of an inappropriate treatment (antibiotics for a suspected fungal infection), and the financial and emotional costs incurred due to the initial diagnosis. The subsequent negative fungal test result further fueled the customer's dissatisfaction, leading them to state they would not return. This feedback highlights the importance of accurate diagnosis and effective communication between the veterinarian and the pet owner.
Considering both positive and negative feedback, potential local users should be aware that experiences can vary. The positive review praises the helpfulness, knowledge, kindness of the staff, reasonable charges, and the convenience of the online pharmacy. This suggests that many clients have had positive experiences with the clinic's general care and services. On the other hand, the negative review raises concerns about diagnostic accuracy and the attentiveness to owner input in at least one instance.
To provide a more complete picture for local users in Singapore, it's important to contextualize this information. While Blue Paw Primary Pet Care is located in the USA, the principles of evaluating a pet hospital remain universal. When choosing a veterinary clinic, factors such as the expertise and communication skills of the veterinarians and staff, the range of services offered, the cleanliness and comfort of the facility, and the overall experience reported by other pet owners are crucial. The availability of convenient services like an online pharmacy can also be a significant advantage.
For potential local users considering a pet hospital in their own vicinity, the feedback regarding Blue Paw Primary Pet Care offers some general insights. A positive aspect to look for is a clinic where the staff is communicative, knowledgeable, and compassionate. The convenience of an online pharmacy for prescriptions and other needs can also be a significant benefit. However, it is also essential to consider feedback regarding diagnostic accuracy and how well the veterinary team listens to and addresses the concerns of pet owners.
While we cannot provide specific promotional information for Blue Paw Primary Pet Care without it being explicitly stated, the mention of "reasonable service charges" and "good pricing" on the online pharmacy could be considered positive aspects that might attract pet owners. Local users would likely look for similar value and transparency in pricing when choosing a pet hospital in Singapore.
In summary, Blue Paw Primary Pet Care in Lexington, KY, appears to be a Pet Hospital with helpful and kind staff, reasonable service charges, and a convenient online pharmacy, according to one positive review. However, a critical review raises concerns about diagnostic accuracy and communication. Local users can weigh these points when considering what factors are most important in their choice of a veterinary care provider.

May 15, 2025 · P MillerThey misdiagnosed my dog twice with ringworm within the span of a few months. The second time, I did a lot of independent research because I could not understand how he could get ringworm twice within a few months (he is the only animal in the home, doesn’t have contact with other animals, i routinely keep my house clean, etc.). All the research I did independently pointed to something else known as pyoderma and all of my pet’s symptoms corresponded with the symptoms listed for pyoderma. I also found that pyoderma is often misdiagnosed as ringworm. Regardless, I am aware that I am not an expert in veterinary medicine by any means and wanted an expert opinion. I brought my dog in and went into great detail about why I felt this wasn’t ringworm. Regardless of my explanation they told me it was ringworm and prescribed him an antibiotic, which also didn’t make sense because an antibiotic wouldn’t work if it really was ringworm because ringworm is a fungal infection. They did a fungal test, but told me it would take several weeks to come back with a results and that until then I needed to treat it as if he had ringworm. I left the appointment feeling really uneasy regarding the diagnosis but decided to trust the professionals. I took off work to take him to the appointment, took off work to deep clean my entire house to disinfect it from ringworm, and spent hundreds of dollars for both the appointment as well as the cleaning supplies and cleaning. Once the fungal test came back, it came back negative. I felt that the veterinarian did not listen to me and my concerns and it cost me and my pet greatly. I will not be returning.
Mar 01, 2025 · Charlotte RussellAfford A Vet on Pasadena (as well as Lexington Humane Society - giving them their 5 stars next!) has been such a blessing. My partner and I live off of a low income and have two dogs and recently had a large breed puppy abandoned with us after we were told we were going to be watching him for a week or two at most. There’s no way we could have provided for our boys without the care and services provided by the team at Afford A Vet. The office staff is always patient with me when I call before an appointment and ask for a detailed breakdown of what costs could look like. I never feel judged if I have to use multiple payment methods to pay for a visit. The staff is friendly and helpful and they’re always willing to answer questions - even if it seems insignificant. Thank you so much!!!
Apr 08, 2021 · Elliot RUpdate: took my dog to another vet, got the neo poly dec and now the bump is gone! Just had the worst experience with Dr. Rankin at afford a vet. Brought my dog in for what looks to be a state on his eye. He had had this problem before 2 years ago and the vet gave us neo poly dex and it cleared up immediately. I came in and explained that that was what I would like to use again and Rankin refused to prescribe that (or any meds) and refused to do the eye stain test l to make sure he did not have an underlying issue. She essentially refused to treat the problem saying nothing would work and ignoring the fact that something had worked very well in the past. She kept trying to sell surgery to which I asked to try the cream first and again she refused. Place has gone downhill since name change (and I’m assuming doctor and ownership change). Avoid.
Jul 01, 2024 · Alexa KelleyI had to bring one of my cats in for a UTI check. We got in the same day, went straight back to an examination room and were back out the door in 30 minutes. The visit was quick, professional and really reasonably priced. If you're looking for a new vet, you wouldn't go wrong coming here
