I had to find a new vet during covid quarantine because my regular moved back to Canada. Now, 4 yrs later, I have found too many major holes in their care and flaws in their system. Due to their ongoing negligence and incompetence, I need to look for a new vet hospital. They are terrible with communication, follow through, and follow up, with one exception, Dr Dutton is excellent. A pet parent should not have to CALL THEM after waiting to get promised cardiologist results to be told the vet left early and won't be back for 4 days, or for a prescription question to take 10 days to be answered and/or to be filled wrong. Apparently this review upset those doctors and they are not pleased with this review. Truth hurts. They do secret exams in the back, and pets return completely distressed. They upgrade every treatment without discussing increased cost and then expect payment without you knowing it was not the treatment or vaccine you were advised on initially. They do not perform the tests you want but want others that are not helpful. The doctors do not communicate with each other at all, which is ridiculous, especially when you can not get in to see the same vet twice for a follow-up. Now, we know Stetson's cancer diagnosis was completely missed until 11/4 at emergency. I tried to push for more diagnostic tests before that but didn't realize it was a personal issue causing this. Now Stetson has his wings 🪽 and we will make better decisions going forward.

I started going to this place for vet care and to get my dog groomed. When I came here to get my dog groomed Krystal Garcia quoted me a price of $80 then it was $85 because of the few mats my dog had and the long hair. Krystal Garcia said the next time I come back to get my dog groomed that it wouldn't cost so much, Krystal Garcia quoted me a price of $60 for the next grooming. I took my dog into see Krystal Garcia to get groomed and Krystal Garcia asked how I wanted my dogs hair cut. I told her and then she said well it's going to be maybe $60 or $70 I said you quoted me $60 on the next visit. She claimed that "they" the vets office had no way to charge $60. I talked to the receptionist and she told me that Krystal Garcia's grooming business is totally separate from the vet's office and that Krystal Garcia sets her own prices. I find it odd that Krystal Garcia said that the vet's office sets the prices. Sounds like someone is being dishonest. I have no problem with paying extra to have my dogs hair done but when a business quotes me price in person and on the phone and then I get to the business and I get a totally different quote. Very unprofessional!

I took my cat here 10 years ago and it still has not recovered from the trauma of being held down and wrapped in towels to get vaccinated. I always hoped he'd have gotten better, but this morning here I sit while he's being sedated just to get a blood draw. He has to be sedated every time at the vet because as sweet as he is everywhere else, and with all visitors, he goes absolutely bonkers when they try to help him now. I feel so bad for our current vets, they really try. Hopefully Blue Cross staff has changed over...I don't recall names but the ones we had used their SPCA experience to suggest to me that full physical restraint on my (at the time) calm animal is the best way to administer a shot. Good luck!

They essentially killed my beloved pup. I kept going back over and over again and they didn’t even test her. They said, well, we “think” it’s cancer in her sinuses. I begged them to test her. They wouldn’t even test her!! Nope. She deteriorated and we lost her. After extensive research, she checked all the boxes for a fungal infection which is completely curable. The best vets left (wonder why?) and all that are left are some foot in the grave vet and 12 year olds. Move on from this place if you want your animals to live. Not the same place or quality of care from when we first started going there. Our favorite vet moved to Bend Oregon and we reached out to her bc we loved her. She was neutral about Blue Cross, but clearly she wasn’t happy there. Never EVER again and I am sooo mad at myself for trusting them. They seriously messed up. That’s negligence and bad medicine in action.

We love the care that Blue Cross has given our family pets since the 1970s. All of the doctors and staff really care about animals and it shows. The appointments aren’t rushed and information is explained clearly. When we’ve had to put animals to sleep they are so caring and make a bad experience goes as best as possible. A big thank you to Dr Peter; he’s straight forward and doesn’t have us doing tests and procedures if they aren’t really necessary. I love this vet office and think you will too!
