I’ve been taking my dog Shiner to Blackhawk Veterinary Hospital for a few months now, and I couldn’t be happier with the care he’s received. Shiner has had some significant health challenges, including a major surgery, and the team at Blackhawk has been nothing short of exceptional in helping him through every step of his recovery. The staff is always kind, knowledgeable, and patient, answering all of my questions thoroughly. Their genuine care for animals shines through in every visit. Shiner is a large dog with specific needs, and the vets and technicians have always been able to provide tailored recommendations that work for him. From routine check-ups to his more complex care, I’ve always felt like Shiner is in the best possible hands. I highly recommend Blackhawk Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking for a place that truly cares for their pets as if they were their own.

My family has been going here for about 20 years. Wouldn’t recommend a better vet. The staff is just absolutely amazing. They care, they do everything they possibly can, and in time of grief and sadness they make it so cozy and amazing to let our babies go when it is time. This is the best vet around and the only vet I would ever recommend!! They have such a calm and safe environment for our pets. They take care of every single thing needed and will take the time out of their day to have a conversation and even learn your pets names. Such an amazing vet!!!!

The staff is caring and they LISTEN to us. We moved here a year ago and a local groomer who trims our dogs nails recommended Blackhawk Veterinary Hospital. We are forever grateful to him (Mr. Wilcox who owns The Merry Groomer), he uses Blackhawk for his own dog's care. Our dogs and cat are our family members. We want the best for them. Blackhawk delivers great veterinary care for our pets and the understanding we as good owners require!

IMO this is the best Vet Hospital in Janesville. Every single provider, from the doctors, to the technicians, to the women who answer the phones and greet you at the door, help and care intensely for your animal and know their names and history. They get to know your animals and insist you do what you know they need. They have kept my cats alive through some serious health crashes. I feel they care about my animals, know their quirks and are focused on keeping them healthy. I tell everyone about this clinic. I've gone there since 2003. When I first moved to Janesville, I went to 2 or 3 other clinics but was unsatisfied. Now I would never go anywhere else. For people who treat animals as family, this is the vet clinic they need.

I lost my 2 girls 7 years ago. Blackhawk Veterinary Hospital took catr of them their whole life and at their end of life. They were/are wonderful. I just adopted a rescue puppy a few weeks ago. They met Aster last week and they were just as kind, gentle, and professional as I remember. Thank you Blackhawk Veterinary Hospital for taking care of my new girl.
