Price is cheap, but be prepared to not receive the best service for your pets. Called Saturday morning worried and left a vm, hoping to get a call back when they first open up, they called me right before 5 on Monday. Thankfully got in contact with MASH. The other thing is the nurses/vets at this place do not know how to approach your dog, they just pull on the leash expecting the dog to come with them, no treats or motivational at all. The vets at VCA miller Robertson try to motivate my puppy to come in with treats and excited tone of voice, they definitely do not do that at this vet. They traumatized my dog and now require me to give me dog pills that completely wipe her out prior to coming to them.. take what you want from that information

Welcome to Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital - John Winters DVM
Located at 353 Foothill Rd, Beverly Hills, CA 90210, USA, Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital - John Winters DVM represents a long-standing institution in the world of pet healthcare. With a history dating back to its founding in 1930, this Pet Hospital has served the Beverly Hills community for decades. Accessible by phone at (310) 276-7113 or +1 310-276-7113, the clinic offers a range of veterinary services, aiming to provide care for beloved animal companions.
As a Pet Hospital, Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital functions as a comprehensive veterinary medical facility, providing a wide array of services typically associated with general animal healthcare. This includes diagnostics, preventative care, and treatment for various conditions. Their classification as a "Pet Hospital" indicates that they are equipped to handle diverse medical needs of small animals, primarily dogs and cats, supporting their overall health and well-being. This structure allows them to offer integrated care, from routine check-ups to managing more complex health issues within a single facility.
---
The environment and client experience at Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital present a mixed picture, based on customer feedback. While some long-term clients express immense satisfaction with the care and service, highlighting a consistent positive relationship over decades, newer experiences or specific interactions have led to different perceptions.
For some clients, the environment is characterized by a strong sense of trust and familiarity, built over many years. The longevity of the practice and its veterinarians (like Dr. Winters and Dr. Suehiro) fosters a deeply loyal client base who view the hospital as the "Very BEST Vet Practice" in Southern California. This suggests an environment where long-term relationships and consistent care are highly valued, and pet owners feel their animals are in trusted hands, perhaps treated with a more traditional, straightforward approach.
However, another perspective indicates areas where the approach to patient handling and communication might differ from contemporary "fear-free" or modern motivational techniques. One review specifically notes that "nurses/vets at this place do not know how to approach your dog, they just pull on the leash expecting the dog to come with them, no treats or motivational at all." This suggests that the clinic's methods for managing anxious or fearful pets might not align with practices that prioritize reducing stress through positive reinforcement and gentle handling. This can, for some pets, lead to a "traumatizing" experience, potentially requiring pre-visit sedation. Similarly, concerns about communication were raised regarding response times for phone calls, indicating that while care might be provided, communication efficiency could be an area for improvement in urgent situations.
