They told us our 8-month-old kitty was just fat. Now she's dead. We noticed that after our cat Ivy was spayed she had gained weight quickly around her stomach. We had an appointment scheduled for a routine vaccine, so at that appointment, we asked about the weight gain. The vet tech told us that she was just fat from being spayed and that we should cut back her food. After another 5 days or so, she was becoming very lethargic and was hardly eating. So we brought her back again. This time, she saw a vet and they told us it was fluid around her stomach. After some tests, they determined it was likely FIP. We ordered the meds (a cure was recently discovered) and started her on the meds the next day. FIP is a tough prognosis and even if they properly diagnosed her the first time she might have still died. But I can't help but think that if they properly diagnosed her initially, while she was still eating and was less lethargic, she would have had a much better chance and might have beat this. Lots of cats survive this now. A professional should be able to tell the difference between fluid and fat. I would not bring a pet here again under any circumstances. Rest in peace, sweet Ivy.

Apr 26, 2025 · Richard WhiteI was really upset when Dr. Kearney retired. I understand that time comes. However, Dr Lucas and Dr. Natasha are excellent. My dog is older and has some skin issues. Dr. Lucas finally found a medicine to help our dog. Everyone there is compassionate and caring. They are great with animals. Always have a spot for them in an emergency. I love it for vet care. Big shout out to Julian the tech he is also a great addition to the practice. If you need a good veterinary practice, this is the place

I explained the situation to Bethlehem and everyone was so understanding and accomodating from the person who answered the phone, to the tech, to the doctor. Definitely a great experience and we'll be staying on as a new patient.
May 12, 2025 · Mari BrickMy two cats have been patients at this practice for several years. Over those years, I have always had a positive experience with both the technicians and doctors. However, I regret to say that I will never return to this practice and I caution other pet owners to be wary. My cat was scheduled for a sedation dentistry appointment. I received a call the evening before from the technician confirming the appointment and discussing that my cat could not eat after 10pm with a drop off time of 8:30 the next morning. I dropped my cat off the next morning as scheduled. At 12:15, I received a call from the office that they could not perform the procedure, as they did not have the required anesthesia. I asked how my cat was acting, as he hadn’t eaten in 14 hours and was likely scared. She seemed to think that was a ridiculous thing for me to ask, and said “he’s fine, he’s sleeping” in a dismissive tone. They asked if I could come back the next Tuesday for the procedure instead. I told them I’d have to look over my schedule. (Granted, I had taken time off work and made arrangements in anticipation of the procedure). Shortly after the phone call I arrived at the office to pick my cat up. Due to construction on their building, you cannot go into the practice and the techs bring the animal to and from your car. When the tech brought my cat out to my car, the door to his carrier was not latched and it swung open as she was placing him in my car! Thankfully, I was able to shut the carrier door quickly enough so that he did not fall or jump out of the carrier onto the parking lot. I shudder to think of how bad the situation could have been, had the door swung open earlier when I was not close enough to shut it. He is a disabled, strictly indoor cat and he could have easily gotten lost or hit by a car. The tech’s response to the open carrier door was “oh, the latch is bent.” First off, the latch is not bent. But, even if it had been bent, they should have checked the door before they left the building and then taken extra care given that fact to ensure that my cat was delivered to me safely. The next day, I called the office to request both my cats records. The receptionist said she knew I had “an incident” the day before, and asked if I wanted to speak to the office manager, Kristen, which I did. Kristen essentially began the conversation by saying that she had spoken to the tech and the latch to my carrier was bent. I stated that the latch is not bent, I inspected it when I got home. The latch was clearly never engaged. I also asked for an explanation as to what happened the day before. Why was there not enough anesthesia, and why was I not notified sooner? I told her I felt awful for my cat that he had fasted from 10pm the night before, and was in his crate in their office for nearly 4 hours before they told me that they couldn’t do the procedure. She was was very defensive, and her exact response to this was “Well, I felt we contacted you soon enough. I could have waited until the end of the day to call you.” I was appalled by her reaction and complete lack of care. I understand that things happen. If they had given me some explanation as to why they didn’t have the anesthesia, I would have gladly listened to that explanation, as i understand there could have been circumstances beyond their control. But they didn’t seem to care enough to give me any explanation. I also would have appreciated an apology for not only my inconvenience, but for my cat’s door being open, and how much it scared me. Instead, they shifted the blame onto me for the “state” of my carrier. I cannot help but to question the safety of this practice if they cannot accurately inventory their anesthesia, nor properly close a carrier before bringing an animal outside. Even more concerning than these errors were their attitudes and their complete lack of regard for me and my cat. I am typically not the type to write a review like this. However, I feel compelled to in this situation as our pets cannot speak for themselves.

Everyone is very nice, respectful, courteous, and takes great care of my animals, and that’s what’s most important to me they listen to me and they addressed my needs in every way I’m very happy with this place . And the prices are very good with the professional care they give I’m super happy.I would never go anywhere else I’m a permanent resident here now. If you need a good veterinarian doctor and good people to take care of your animals, this is the place to go. I Wrote this review to say thank you to everyone there at the hospital and let other people know this is the place to come to if you want good vet care.
