Worst place ever me and my mother had to put my Chihuahua down that I had since I was 7 years old and I’m 22 now we scheduled an appointment and they had us waiting for over an hour while our loved one was in pain red flag number one so when we were called back she gave her the first shot to relax her and we had to wait another 45 minutes and then the lady gave her the last shot to completely put her down which she has to make sure she’s completely down and time it. immediately her timer died red flag number 2 so while she was doing that me and my mother were very emotional and crying which the lady and her assistant were staring at us smiling and laughing to each other like the whole situation was just a joke to them I don’t ever leave reviews but this was definitely the worst experience in my life

Welcome to Best Friends Veterinary Hospital

Welcome to Best Friends Veterinary Hospital, a Pet Hospital located at 5417 S Mingo Rd, Tulsa, OK 74146, USA. At Best Friends Veterinary Hospital, we aim to provide veterinary services to the Tulsa community, catering to the health and well-being of your beloved pets. Our goal is to be a local resource for pet owners seeking medical care for their animals.

Based on the limited reviews available, experiences at Best Friends Veterinary Hospital appear to be significantly divergent. One customer recounts a deeply negative experience during the difficult process of euthanizing their Chihuahua. This review details a prolonged waiting time despite having a scheduled appointment, which caused distress as their pet was in pain. Furthermore, the reviewer describes an insensitive reaction from the staff during the procedure, alleging that they were smiling and laughing, which caused immense emotional pain to the pet owners. This customer explicitly states it was the "worst experience" of their life and strongly implies a lack of professionalism and empathy from the staff during a sensitive situation.

In stark contrast, another customer offers a positive perspective, stating that they entrust Best Friends Veterinary Hospital with the care of all their cats, even traveling from across town to do so. This suggests that some pet owners have found the level of care and trust provided by the clinic to be satisfactory, warranting the extra effort of a longer commute. This positive feedback indicates that there may be aspects of the hospital's services that are valued by certain clients.

Given these opposing viewpoints, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive and universally positive description of the environment, services, and features of Best Friends Veterinary Hospital based solely on these two reviews. The negative review raises serious concerns about the clinic's handling of emotionally sensitive situations, potential issues with appointment scheduling and waiting times, and the professionalism of some staff members. The positive review, while brief, suggests that at least some clients have a high degree of trust in the veterinary care provided, particularly for their feline companions.

As a Pet Hospital, Best Friends Veterinary Hospital likely offers a range of common veterinary services. These typically include general wellness examinations to assess your pet's overall health, vaccinations to protect against various diseases, and preventative care measures such as parasite control. During a wellness visit, a veterinarian will usually conduct a thorough physical examination, discuss your pet's history and lifestyle, and address any concerns you may have about their health.

Veterinary hospitals also commonly provide diagnostic services to help identify the underlying causes of illness or injury. These may include laboratory testing of blood, urine, and fecal samples, as well as imaging technologies such as X-rays. These tools are essential for veterinarians to accurately diagnose medical conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.

Depending on the facilities and expertise available at Best Friends Veterinary Hospital, surgical services may also be offered. These can range from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue or orthopedic surgeries. The level of surgical care provided can vary between veterinary clinics, so it is advisable to inquire directly about the types of surgical procedures performed and the qualifications of the veterinary surgeons.

Dental care is another important aspect of pet health, and many veterinary hospitals offer services such as routine dental cleanings, dental examinations, and treatment for dental diseases. Maintaining good oral hygiene is crucial for preventing pain, infection, and systemic health issues in pets.

Information regarding the specific environment of Best Friends Veterinary Hospital, such as the comfort and cleanliness of the waiting area, examination rooms, and surgical suites, is not provided in the available reviews. Similarly, details about any unique features or specialized services that might set this clinic apart from others in the area are not mentioned. Local users may need to contact the hospital directly or visit the premises to form their own impression of the facilities.

No promotional information, such as special offers for new clients, discounts on specific services, or wellness plans, is included in the provided text. Pet hospitals sometimes offer such incentives to attract new clients or encourage preventative care. To inquire about any current promotions or wellness programs at Best Friends Veterinary Hospital, it is recommended to contact them directly at (918) 663-7595 or +1 918-663-7595.

In conclusion, Best Friends Veterinary Hospital is a Pet Hospital located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The limited customer feedback presents a stark contrast in experiences, with one review detailing a deeply negative and upsetting encounter during a pet euthanasia, while another expresses trust and satisfaction with the care provided to their cats. Prospective clients should consider these differing perspectives and are encouraged to contact the hospital directly to inquire about their services, facilities, and staff to determine if it aligns with their expectations for pet care.

I take all of my kitty cats to them. I live all the way on the other side of town, but it's worth the drive to take my babies to people I trust.

I take all 3 of my cats here and dog. A friend of mine referred me and she's been going there for nearly her whole life! Dr. best truly is the best! My middle child/fur baby had gone to a different vet since she wasn't eating. The other vet told me we needed to put a feeding tube in her and even then it wasn't looking good and I should probably prepare for the worst. My husband was distraught! Tbh I don't blame that other vet, they only reported what they saw and didn't know any better, plus my cat can be very convincing that she doesn't like you lol she was "too aggressive". Again understandable if you don't know the cat and all the signs of a pissed off cat are there. Dr. Best did laser therapy on her sinus area (very affordable btw and I'm currently homeless) she also suggested feeding kitten formula and some other things to help as well as a steroid shot. With in a week, my cat that I was on the way to a full recovery, going to the litter box on her own and her appetite was coming back! The staff there truly care and always suggest what's best for the animal!

There is no way I could be happier with my first experience here. I took a young female to get spayed and we were both treated extremely well. The vet did a superb job on my kitty, the price wasn't bad at all. We're delighted.

This is where I take my caique parrots to get their nails trimmed. I moved to Muskogee, but I still drive here because they are really good with my birds, and Kiwi likes her, and Kiwi don't like just anybody. 😊
