A trip no furbaby parent wishes to make. But our girl Lucy had been not doing good for some time and with a thorough checkup by Dr. Wilder and his staff it was determined she had an inoperable cancerous tumor in her lower jaw which was not going to be good for her moving forwards she was not able to eat and was losing weight at an alarming pace. Dr Wilder and his staff helped our family help Lucy over that Rainbow π Bridge where she was able to leave us with dignity and we feel confident we made the best choice for her. Thanks to all the staff at Berkeley Veterinary Clinic for your compassionate support in this heartbreaking π moment we had to endure. Thanks again for their heartfelt support. Mar 03, 2023 Β· Keith SmithFantastic staff!!! The techs are superb! Took my JRT for a nail trim and I was truly impressed. Great team.
Mar 12, 2025 Β· Molly SchertzingerI took my puppy here for his first visits in 2011 and they took great care of him. fast forward 13 years, they took good care of him the whole time. he has had most of his care with them except when we lived out of state, and even had a couple surgeries with them. they were there for us last week when we made the painful decision to put our dog out of his pain. Dr Wilder was so kind and compassionate and made the whole awful thing much easier.
Aug 02, 2024 Β· Sarah CameronThis office has helped my family care for three different pets over a period of 20(+) years. They've also helped us say goodbye to all three of them. I have always received nothing less than experienced professionalism, from the front of the office to the back. I've had to hear some hard truths over the years, but always with great compassion - As if my pets were as dear to them as they were to me. That's important to me. The most calming and reassuring thing I have ever heard a veterinarian say is, "If this was my dog/cat, I would start here (a tx option)." I have never thought to myself they were after my money. I could trust they would start with conservative treatment, rule out the small stuff, and tell me what I needed to hear in a way I could understand, without judgement. I was given tx options that ran the gamut from ideal, textbook options, to the most economically practical treatment options. This office flourishes because they do good work. Oftentimes, the bigger the office gets, the less personal and professional the service becomes. That has not been the case with Berkeley Veterinary Clinic. I don't ever want to own a pet without them by my side, caring as much for its well-being as I do.
