If you're looking for a veterinary office that truly cares about your pets, Dr. Richie and his team are the ones to trust. We've had a lot of experience with our four cats, two dogs, and various fosters over the years, and Dr. Richie is the only one we'd cross a bridge and tunnel for. He’s helped our pets through so many situations—whether it was managing diabetes and arthritis in our cats, discovering tumors, or providing compassionate end-of-life care when the time came. Dr. Richie always takes the time to find the right solution for each animal (though our orange cat is the only one who protests when it comes to his food portion!). Over the years, our elderly, arthritic cats have received laser treatments, one dental extraction, and monthly arthritis shots that have made them feel much younger. Senior bloodwork has been essential for understanding their health and establishing a baseline for future comparisons. Even simple check-ups or handling new pet additions are done with care and attention to detail. I’m pretty sure a heart murmur was detected during a routine appointment, which was unrelated to the reason we came in—just another example of the staff's attention to detail for everything about your pet. The entire team is always friendly, whether you're calling in or checking in at the desk. We never worry about leaving our pets because we know they’re in the hands of true animal lovers. If you want a vet who genuinely wants to help your pets stay healthy, Dr. Richie and his team are the ones to go to.

No stars - had to have 1 to post!!! Totally appalled. We had to let our girl Bellamy go this past Saturday. She had been on several medications since May of this year with a terminal diagnosis. Saturday she could not walk. We knew it was time and we called her vet, the same vet that diagnosed her was in the office Saturday. He could not see her to euthanize her. He could not spare 15 minutes of his time to end her suffering. He could however try to make her more comfortable until Monday. She was too weak to hold herself up- so what would he have done- more medicine- IV treatment??? Clearly that would have taken mote than 15 minutes of his time, while creating another bill! In her most difficult time - she needed help and was abandoned by her Dr. What kind of Dr or human does that!!!! The staff have always been caring, kind and helpful. They asked him twice. He said there was nothing he could do. The staff then referred us to Caring Hands and they were wonderful. My fur babies will be going there from now on. NEVER again we will return to Bennetts Creek Veterinary Care.

My daugther took our 17 year old mini poodle in to be examined for itchy skin on her face. We decided to change from our previous vet due to them not being able to handle her wigglyness despite giving her the trazodone and gabapentin prescribed. She saw Dr. Richie and we were very happy with how everyone handled our baby. Although she is old she does wiggle a LOT and hates her face being touched. BUT the Dr and assistants, all worked together and were very patient with her. Dr. Richie even addressed an issue that we didn’t go in for and wanted to make sure that was treated as well. I appreciate everyone showing her kindness and love 🤍

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a friendly and kind team who genuinely care about your furry family members. The staff here go above and beyond to make every visit smooth and stress-free. A special shoutout to the front desk team and the office manager. Their kindness and professionalism stood out. They are incredibly patient and thorough, taking the time to address all concerns and make sure pets are comfortable and well-cared for. The entire team is responsive and helpful, always quick to answer questions and provide support, whether in person or over the phone. It’s clear that everyone at Bennett's Creek has a passion for what they do. Their attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile are unmatched. I’m so grateful to have found such a trustworthy and compassionate veterinary hospital for my pets. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional care!

I have seen both Dr Johnson (compassionate and caring) and caring and also have seen Dr Ward for my dogs. All my interactions with Dr Ward I felt unheard, she was argumentative and lacks basic empathy. As consumers we have a lot of choices for vet care for our beloved pets. Dr Ward is NOT. IT.
