I’m thankful that I still have my vet in puyallup and since I work in that area it’s easy to bring my pets there for check ups etc as I will never bring my pets to Belletowne Vet again. Horribly over priced! About a month or so ago, my hubby took our pup in to get his six month, for check up, rabies, deworming etc it cost over $600. Comparison, took my friends pup in for their six month, for check up, rabies, deworming etc(same everything), cost $140, and they did NOT charge for the deworming. I’m not ok with their gross over charge and I will NEVER bring my pets back to this clinic because of their high prices. If you’re ok with traveling I suggest you shop around and compare pricing at other vets.

As a local Pet Hospital, Belltowne Veterinary Center is expected to offer a range of essential services to cater to the health and well-being of your animal companions. Typically, a pet hospital provides facilities for routine check-ups, vaccinations, and potentially more complex medical and surgical procedures. The environment of such a center is usually designed to be clean and comfortable for both pets and their owners, often featuring examination rooms, waiting areas, and possibly dedicated spaces for different types of animals to minimize stress.
Based on the general understanding of a Pet Hospital, Belltowne Veterinary Center likely offers services such as preventative care, which includes regular health examinations to monitor your pet's overall condition and detect any potential health issues early on. Vaccinations are a crucial part of preventative care, protecting your pets from various infectious diseases. Deworming treatments are also commonly offered to eliminate internal parasites that can affect your pet's health.
Beyond preventative care, a Pet Hospital like Belltowne Veterinary Center may also provide diagnostic services, which could involve laboratory tests, imaging techniques such as X-rays, and other tools to help diagnose illnesses or injuries. Depending on the facility's capabilities, they might also offer surgical services, ranging from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex operations. Dental care is another important aspect of pet health that some veterinary centers provide, including teeth cleaning and addressing dental diseases.
Features of a typical Pet Hospital often include a team of qualified veterinarians and veterinary technicians who are trained to provide professional and compassionate care for animals. The presence of necessary medical equipment and supplies is also a key feature, ensuring that the staff has the resources to diagnose and treat various conditions effectively. A clean and organized environment is essential for maintaining hygiene and preventing the spread of infections.
However, it is important to consider some feedback available from online reviews regarding Belltowne Veterinary Center. One customer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the pricing of services, stating that a routine six-month check-up, including rabies vaccination and deworming for their puppy, cost over $600. This customer compared the cost to a similar service obtained elsewhere for $140, where deworming was even provided free of charge. The reviewer strongly advised others to shop around and compare pricing at different veterinary clinics due to the perceived overcharging at Belltowne Veterinary Center.
Another review highlighted a negative experience with the front desk staff. The customer reported that their appointment had not been recorded and was met with accusations of lying. This individual expressed concern about the overall service and professionalism, especially considering the expected cost of veterinary care.
It is crucial for local users to take these reviews into account when considering Belltowne Veterinary Center for their pet care needs. While the facility operates as a Pet Hospital and likely offers a range of veterinary services, the feedback regarding pricing and customer service should prompt potential clients to inquire about costs upfront and perhaps seek comparisons with other local options to ensure they are comfortable with the value and service provided.

Apr 14, 2025 · Lisa IrvineI can't speak for the veterinary care but the front desk lady was rude and incredibly unhelpful. When I showed up for our appointment that hadn't been entered she accused me of lying. For the price of vet care, I cannot imagine having my pets treated here.
May 14, 2025 · K ShaffMy dog is very anxious, but this team is so kind and supportive that she immediately calms down. The prices are also really reasonable, and there have been times that I haven’t been charged for services that other vets will charge you for. 10/10 recommend
Apr 11, 2025 · Hope MorganI've been taking my dog to Belltowne for years, and every year seems to get worse. Constant changes in vets, scheduling, and policy. The people they are hiring get more and more unfriendly. My dog has been terrified of Belltowne ever since his neuter surgery there in 2021. He's totally fine until we pull into the parking lot at Belltowne, and then, all of a sudden, he turns into a giant shaking ball of anxiety and tries to run out the door. Beside all of that, as of recently, they suddenly refuse to authorize prescription orders from outside sources. I've been ordering from 1800PetMeds (because they offer coupon codes, which makes them more affordable than going through the vet) for over 10 years without issue. I recently ordered my dog's prescription, and after PetMeds made several attempts over 3 weeks to get an authorization, I had to call Belltowne to find out what was going on. The first time I called, I was told the doctor didn't authorize any more refills, and they would go ahead and take care of it. Later, they texted and said they would fill the prescription through their own pharmacy, which is not what I wanted them to do. I again tell them that I already ordered from PetMeds, and they are waiting for the authorization, which only requires a phone call on Belltowne's part. The receptionist at Belltowne then informs me that their policy has changed, and they will only provide written scripts that you must go pick up from them, otherwise they will gladly fill the prescription through their own pharmacy at a much higher price. Why was this change never mentioned before, and why didn't they mention it the first time I called? I was clearly lied to the first time I called. After I called again, they finally decided to call in the authorization but only authorized a 6 month refill when I have always ordered and had already ordered a 12-month refill. So then PetMeds had to cancel my 12-month refill order and switch it to a 6-month refill, which was more expensive per dose. I just spent over $800 at Belltowne so that I could get my dog's yearly supply of Heartgard, and now they want to withhold the full year of medication so that they can force me to spend even more money? How is this not wrong? There is very obviously an agenda at Belltowne.
Mar 30, 2025 · Nova S.After moving to Belfair, I transferred care for my elderly cat from Purdy to here. It has been a difficult month as her condition deteriorated. I said goodbye today. The care and compassion shown by Dr Wicklund and the team of techs - I cannot thank them enough. Days like today are not easy. They are good people that care about animals and should be granted honorary degrees in psychology for how they treat families during these stressful moments.
