Bayou City Veterinary Hospital

Our dog Pepper we think has thrown our her back. And this is truly hard to diagnose, but our Doctor, she ruled out alot of bacterial and tick including lying disease, gave us meds to take home and instructed my wife and I what to look for, and we just gave to first round of meds and our dog is already moving a little better. The staff is great, our Nurse who had to take Pepper's temp and a blood draw, handled Pepper so gently, and had such a calming demeanor the Pepper let him hold her. The waiting room staff could tell that Pepper was anxious and brought us a bandana that had a calming scent on it, and it actually seemed to work. I highly recommend this Vet hospital, everyone who works here seems to truly care about the work they are doing. Thank you

This is the best place I have taken Hank. This is the only place where he did not try to bite the employees when they came up to him. They had a nice bandana for him and quality couch that he really enjoyed. Thanks for treating my aging dog with such great care.

Posting 4 stars because because they accommodated my dog during Beryl, Dr. Diehl is amazing, and the groomers are amazing. Took off one star, and updating my review because of horrible interactions with a bitter woman that works their front desk (Karina). I decided to update this after three interactions with Karina. I have personally dropped my pet off a handful of times and the last time I was late due to a fatality that occurred on 610 on 1/08/2025 (I updated them of the situation). The appointment was cancelled-not a big deal. I called today 1/24/2025 to schedule a treatment/vaccine and when I called mentioned my pet was due for either a vaccine or check up (I did not have the e-mail pulled up). As Karina pulled up my pet's chart in a very condescending tone she mentioned: "That is not a vaccine since I do not see that he needs vaccines". My response: "I understand, but the e-mail description mentions both which is why I mentioned it to you." Unnecessary. That was then scheduled, so I then asked about a grooming appointment and she mentioned I could not be late and she would schedule the appointment but that I could drop off my dog at anytime in the morning. I then told her I would be bringing the dog at 8:30, she tells me AGAIN to not be late. I then tell her "Okay, but I can drop him off before then, so I plan on taking him around 8:30 so give me an appointment at 9 to be safe." She then tells me: "Do not be late". The point is for her to give me an appointment that aligns with my drop off time that was previously mentioned. Maybe I should spell this out for her? Either, she is too dense to comprehend basic scheduling, or just a bitter human being. I have scheduled with other groomers, just to avoid interactions with this woman. However, I am a return customer because her trash attitude will not deter me from bringing my pet to a place he has known for several years. I am including a snippet of their e-mail reminders that go out.

It’s been 12+ years since I’ve been able to use Dr. Kyle (moved). I adored her approach with my last baby & I was excited to bring my new baby to her, now that we’re back in the area. Dr. Kyle LOVES these animals so much. You can feel it in the way she interacts & I’m sure our babies feel it too. The entire staff is professional, kind & affectionate which translates to calm appointments. I’m so grateful to have this wonderful vet!!

I can’t recommend Dr. Foster and the Bayou City Vet team enough ❤️ They are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. One of my cats went through some health issues last year, and Dr. Foster was so caring. She went above and beyond, helping think of a creative solution to treat a tricky-to-diagnose issue involving not just meds but diet. I am sure she saved my cat’s life, and he is so happy and healthy today. I can’t tell you how grateful I am! Anyone with cats they love is in great hands with Dr. Foster.

Brought my dog here for the first time and we had a very good experience. The vet tech, Christian, was very nice and helpful, as well as our vet, Dr. Ali Chivonne who explained things very well. The ladies at the front were also very nice, and the establishment was clean. I would definitely bring my pets here again.
