Even though they don’t see pet birds this animal hospital was still the first go to when it comes to emergencies. My pet Quaker’s toe was stuck between the doors of its cage. The toe came off and was bleeding non stop. I ran to this hospital and everyone there was just so nice. They showed absolute care and stop the bleeding. They also offered us a bird hospital where my parrot could get treated. Thank you all so much😢🙏

I got my dog stormi as a puppy in end of February last year decided to go to BayStreet Animal hospital to take care of her shots and since then I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I got her spayed there and the level of care of focus they provide cannot be matched anywhere else. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my stormi. She’s getting boarded there too they do it all. If your thinking of a place where they do it all think no further they are the place where you can have peace of mind for your Bestfriend.

Shame on Dr. Cohen!! Do NOT bring your sick pet here. My dog was diagnosed with diabetes but after the first hospitalization we were not given proper instruction on dosage and how to care for him. This was the opinion of DR. COHEN himself. He made it seem like he cared and them team dropped the ball by not following up and gave us his personal cell… only to not respond to texts. He was hospitalized again a month later and came home in worse condition. I would call and speak with a tech Justin for updates and he was clueless. I can’t even begin to put all the errors into this review but on top of the thousands I spent here over the course of one month, Dr. Cohen was so rude and dismissive at our final visit and basically told me to get lost all because I asked him to please not interrupt me and let me ask questions (???). He even admitted making money is the bottom line here and said his hospitalization was basically free even though I spent $2000 on a 4 day hospitalization AND brought some of my own medicine? I took my dog to another vet who was so sweet and helpful and confirmed his insulin dosage recommended was way too low and not even the right insulin. Unfortunately it was too late and my dog literally died two days after bringing him home again. My dog died under the care of this hospital and I would not recommend, SHAME ON DR COHEN. Mind you, this was all after being patients of this hospital for 12 years!

We had one of the worst and most traumatic experiences we've ever had with Bay Street Animal Hospital. My daughter recently took our family dog into Bay Street Animal Hospital seeking help and guidance, and instead of compassion, she was met with bullying, threats, and blatant scare tactics—by the the office manager and her staff . They immediately tried to strong-arm her into admitting our dog overnight which was going to be supervised by their 18-year-old clinic attendant for "additional tests and observation," without offering clear justification or even letting her speak to a licensed veterinarian. When she asked for more time to consider or even call home, she was intimidated and emotionally manipulated, being told that if she refused, they would report her to the SPCA for cruelty and neglect. Yes—you read that right. A young woman bringing in her family dog for help was threatened with being reported to animal services simply because she wanted to explore other options and wasn't comfortable handing over her pet without full understanding or consent. This is not how responsible, ethical veterinary care should be handled. This is coercion, manipulation, and abuse of authority. They clearly targeted her youth and lack of experience, hoping to pressure her into expensive, unnecessary treatments under fear and emotional duress. That’s not care—that’s corruption. We’ve since spoken to other clinics, who were appalled by the tactics used here. It’s clear this clinic operates more like a predatory business than a place of healing for pets. Avoid Bay Street Animal Hospital at all costs. And if you’ve had a similar experience—speak out. No one should be threatened or guilt-tripped into care they don't need or consent to.

My sweet cat Bella passed away 4 months ago, I am still heartbroken. It is because Dr. Cohen's negligence putting importance on her thyroid when her kidneys were bad. I had to go to another vet & it was too late to save her! Beware. (& I will be paying off Care Credit till next year).
