I had a 13-year-old Basset Hound. I called Monday to try and get her in as soon as possible to have her put down the woman told me the phones had been messing up and apologized for that which I understood things do happen. She told me the earliest opening she had was for Wednesday. I told her is there any way she could get me in quicker and she kept putting me on hold then I told her to just call me back as soon as she got done looking at her books on the earliest that I could come in to have my dog put down which had been in pain and misery for 5 days. They never returned my phone call now I'm sorry I don't care how busy you are or what you are doing but if you have treated an animal 13 years and I have three other animals that I take their I have referred people to go to this clinic. As of right now I put them down as the worst vet I have ever been to and would not recommend them to anyone. When I called Tuesday to complain about not getting in or getting a return phone call over such a desperate need the woman said can you come in within the next hour I said her no it was already too late I had called Childersburg pet clinic that had already took me in right after I called and requested my dog to be put down that was very understanding and compassionate. As of baxley's Clinic you will no longer be seeing any more of my animals and I will not recommend you to anyone and I actually give you zero Stars!!!!

Baxley Animal Hospital operates as a full-service pet hospital, addressing a wide spectrum of your pet's healthcare needs. While specific details about the hospital's environment, such as the size of the facility, the number of examination rooms, or the presence of specialized equipment, are not explicitly available online, it is common for reputable veterinary hospitals to maintain a clean, comfortable, and well-equipped environment to ensure the safety and well-being of their patients. You can likely expect designated areas for examinations, potential surgical suites, and spaces for housing and monitoring animals when necessary.
The services offered at Baxley Animal Hospital are likely to encompass a broad range of veterinary care. These typically include preventative care measures, which are crucial for maintaining your pet's long-term health. Preventative care often involves routine check-ups, vaccinations to protect against common and potentially life-threatening diseases, parasite control (including heartworm, flea, and tick prevention), and nutritional counseling to ensure your pet is receiving the appropriate diet for their age, breed, and activity level. Early detection of health issues through regular wellness exams can significantly improve treatment outcomes and overall quality of life for your pet.
Beyond preventative care, Baxley Animal Hospital likely offers diagnostic services to identify and understand your pet's health concerns. These services can include laboratory testing (such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams), which provides valuable insights into your pet's internal health. Imaging techniques, such as X-rays (radiography), may also be available to visualize internal structures and aid in the diagnosis of various conditions, from bone fractures to organ abnormalities. The availability of more advanced imaging, like ultrasound, would further enhance their diagnostic capabilities.
For pets requiring surgical intervention, Baxley Animal Hospital likely provides a range of surgical procedures. These can include routine surgeries such as spaying and neutering, which are important for population control and can offer various health benefits to your pet. The hospital may also perform more complex soft tissue surgeries and potentially orthopedic procedures, depending on the expertise of their veterinary team and the available facilities. Anesthesia and pain management are critical aspects of any surgical procedure, and you can expect Baxley Animal Hospital to prioritize your pet's comfort and safety throughout the process.
Dental care is another essential component of overall pet health, and Baxley Animal Hospital likely offers services to address your pet's oral hygiene needs. These services can range from routine dental cleanings to help prevent tartar buildup and gum disease to more advanced dental procedures if necessary. Maintaining good oral health is vital as dental problems can lead to pain, infection, and even affect other organ systems in the body.

Jul 18, 2024 路 Jessica BarnettDoctor Baxley is PAWS down the best that I have used since I moved to the area. He and his staff are incredibly patient, caring, kind and compassionate, and his prices are the best that I have seen in the area as well. They have taken care of Molly since I have moved here she has had two surgeries and has come out better on each one. I cannot recommend this practice enough鈥攖hey recently saved my dogs life. I am incredibly thankful for the doctor and his staff. They are honest and professional, and will give you an honest assessment of your pets condition, your options and where to go from there. Again, I would give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you Dr. and staff!! I look forward to bringing both of my dogs (one hasn鈥檛 needed shots since adoption yet) in the future for their regular shots and exams. I credit the Doctor as well as his staff for my Molly being able to celebrate her ninth birthday this month!! 馃ス
