I took my senior female cat Socks in this week and Dr Pace saw Socks. Socks has had some medical issues in the recent past so I had sent over the emergency vets blood work and findings. After examination Dr Pace presented 3 options for treatment option 1, I thought was only fluids and antibiotics. Option 2 new blood work along with option 1.. Option 3 included both 1 and 2 with x-rays. New blood work made sense to me at that time as hers was a few months old. I had stated that we would do the lower 2 ! I did need to understand the benefits of option 3 more or if we should wait for blood work to return. Mid conversation Dr Pace. Said " give me a second ill be right back" 20ish minutes later I am handed a bill and my female cat Socks. The bill indicated three injections 1 antibiotic 1 anti nausea and fluids. With the surprise of three injections on the invoice and no blood work. I asked to speak to the Dr again. He stated the we discussed the 3 injections. At this point I have already decided I was at the wrong veterinarian practice. So I just inquired if it was safe to wait later in the week for blood work. I felt that any questions about the miss communication would only lead to more frustration. Granted I had wanted the blood work done, but had lost confidence in their abilities. The Dr did not listen to hear only to reply. I also had to correct at a minimum of 4 times in the office to 2 techs referring to Socks as male. They each time, minutes apart gave me the same excuse of " they have a regular patient that looks similar to my Socks with the same name." While I understand that they do see other animals but to forget within less than a half hours time on each occasion while speaking with me. Then after I left. They called and referred to Socks as male yet again with the same excuse ( I am very glad I was not there for spaying). The office staff apparently had other pets under my name ( we have only had a dog Athena and cat Socks seen by there staff) office staff stated she'd just remove the other animals from my history. It appears that record keeping is not strongly emphasized at this practice.

Jan 23, 2025 · D MHere’s a general template for a doggie daycare review. Feel free to customize it: I couldn’t be happier with Barkfield Boarding & Daycare. Nov 25, 2024 · Lisa ClarkI'm so thankful for Dr.Pace! He was very thorough when trying to diagnose our senior kitty's mystery illness. He explained all our options and spent a lot of time on the phone for us trying to find a specialist who could provide extra care. We really appreciate all his time, kindness, & help.
Dec 14, 2024 · Amber RWe took our 7 month old puppy to be spayed. The vet and/or her assistant killed her through their incompetence. They failed to properly set the anesthesia and respirator causing her brain to die from lack of oxygen. We are completely devastated. Beware of this vet.
Jan 10, 2025 · carlOur amazing dog 13 y/o, Apollo was diagnosed with lymphoma almost two months ago. We had originally scheduled to get him euthanized with our vet at the vets office. We called Barkfield on a wing this afternoon to see if they accepted care credit and if they were able to come out today. Already being fully booked, Andrew went way out of his way and came by after he got out of work to lay our best friend to rest. Andrew was as courteous and as respectful as one could be, and gave us all the time we needed with our beloved Apollo. A big Thank you to Andrew and Barkfield for making this as least stressful as possible, not only for our two pups but for our entire family as well.
