Apr 10, 2025 · Emma NorthI've taken all three of my dogs to this Banfield, seen two vets and three vet techs, and I can honestly say I'm thrilled to have my dogs in their care. Just today, a vet noticed a tumor on my older dog that I had missed. They've taken the time to talk to me and examine my pups carefully. I am grateful for the skill, reliability, and dedication of this practice.
May 08, 2025 · Leah TThe front desk person is an idiot. She rambles endlessly and then had the audacity to scold me for being late, which I was NOT. Checking in took forever because She was inefficient and was more concerned about selling products and services than my dog. The care plans are a scam, you end up paying more in the long run. For example, the guilt trip she put on for refusing an extra $80 med for stress. The vibe is inpersonal and very corporate , I felt horrible leaving my dog there .I'm really hoping the actual vets are better.

I mentioned I’d like to have blood work done for my dog who has been experiencing rapid weight loss and recent seizures. When I called to make the appointment, this was discussed over the phone and was the reason for our visit. We arrived 10 minutes before our appointment and waited a good while just to check in. We were not even greeted as we stood there waiting for over 20 minutes. As we started to check in, another front desk employee proceeded to tell me that my dog most likely wasn’t experiencing seizures, but something from a heart murmur, which she hadn’t even asked if he had one. A conversation between this front desk employee and a vet in the back led to a few minutes of back and forth relay of my dogs condition and the vet saying they don’t want to treat him due to not having medication for a seizure if one occurs. The front desk employee went back and forth 4 times asking the vet to at least come speak to me with the vet saying no, they will not treat. I fully understand liability and legitimate reasons for not treating a patient but why have me come in at all if that is how you approach the situation. I client calls to schedule an appoint for seizures, you book the appointment, then tell me after we arrive you won’t see us because you don’t have medication to treat a seizure in the event one happens on site. We left, after being told they’d be happy to have me come back once I got answers elsewhere… I live in the city and drove to short pump for my dog to be seen for having seizures. It was the reason for the appointment being scheduled and communicated the details and times of his seizures. I was told he would not be seen because of this same reason. I think it is completely unprofessional to not even speak to a client you are refusing service to after allowing them to book an appointment for that very reason. Huge waste of time and do not recommend this clinic. Don’t bother with your auto response about how sorry you are about my experience when it’s clearly not just my experience. Do better. The only reason you get 2 stars is because of the one employee signing us in and her genuine care for the situation she could clearly see was wrong. To all other possible clients, Read the other reviews before making any appointment with this company, not just this location.

I have always been able to contact Banfield and get an appointment easily for my Shih Tzu. While yes your dog is there all day, I trust in the time it takes to thoroughly examine, run test, etc. I love the app where 24/7 you can chat with a vet if needed. I’ve used it successfully. You can tell the doctors care! We’ve always been able to resolve what my dog may have come in for.
