Amazing Vet and nurses. Very kind, clear and considerate. They explain throughly all the options and allow you to decide what’s best for your pet. These folks genuinely care about the animals they’re treating and it shows! The price was also super affordable, the shot my dog needs to take monthly was quoted at 300$ at another vet, while it was only 99$ here. Would recommend Banfield to anyone!!

We are extremely disappointed with the care our senior Labrador, Moose, received at the Banfield location on 16575 Washington St, Thornton, CO. We dropped him off at 7:30 AM for a teeth cleaning that required fasting, expecting the procedure to be done promptly. However, we received no updates and had to call ourselves at 12:10 PM, only to learn they hadn’t even started. We were then told he might not be done until 5 PM. To make matters worse, we were told we should have asked (I guess known?) for the procedure to be done earlier. This is unacceptable—fasting and anesthesia procedures should be prioritized. I get that things may come up with other animals, but they didn't communicate anything to us. Moose, who is older and vulnerable, has now gone almost 24 hours without food, confined in a stressful environment. This treatment is inhumane, and the lack of communication and consideration for the animal’s health is appalling. We have requested to see Banfield’s written policy on this and for an accredited vet to explain how this is acceptable practice. Until changes are made, we would not recommend this location to anyone who values compassionate and ethical care for their pets.

I recently had to go through the heartbreaking process of putting my beloved dog to rest. I usually go to the Longmont location, when I called that day to make the appointment, it was 5:51pm and they had already tuned their phones off. I called the next Banfield close to me and it was this Thornton location. Lauren answered the phone and I told her what happened and she couldn’t see Longmont’s schedule and we hung up. About 5 min later, now close to 5:57pm (keep in mind they close at 6pm) Lauren called be back to see if there was anything she could do. And scheduled us for the next morning. WOW!!!!!!WOW!!!!!WOW!!!!!! I truly believe she was our Angel. We were meant to go to her. She was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us as we were walking in the door. Lauren's and the Dr.’s (I didn’t catch the name-sorry) compassion and understanding made an incredibly difficult situation a little easier. Both were so gentle with my dog, and their kind words brought comfort during a painful time. Lauren and the Dr explained every step with patience and made sure we felt supported throughout the entire process. Their professionalism, empathy, and genuine care made all the difference. I am so grateful to have had Lauren by my side during such an emotional moment. Thank you, Lauren and the Dr for your kindness and for treating my dog with the dignity and love he deserved.

This clinic was great! On time so professional and they truly care about your pet! Nina at the front desk was very helpful and Dr.Myers was amazing as well. Thank you for taking such great care of Milo he would give you 10 stars if he could!

I don’t know if you just got new vet staff or whatever. We have been going to this location for four years now and never had a problem. However today was a completely different situation. We got to go into the room with our dogs and they took them back one by one which wasn’t the issue. However the issue is how I could hear my dog yelping behind the door more than normal. I know she tends to be vocal but she sounded in pain. When we left she had a slight limp. Now we finally got them home and she can’t get up without yelping. I’m not happy in the slightest with whatever mistreatment happened back there. We will never be going back and canceling our wellness plan because who does that and then to say oh she was vocal because she didn’t want to be left alone. Ridiculous. Please do expect a phone call when you are open Monday to discuss this because my dog shouldn’t be in pain after a normal check up and shots.

This is the first time and last time I will bring my dog back to this location on 166th. My 4 year old pug was scheduled for his comprehensive exam at 11:45. I don’t hear from them at all, I call at 2:30 to check in on him, they said the doctor really wants to talk to me and will call me back in a 1/2 hour. I didn’t hear back. Finally at 4:00 they call me and say, he is ready to be picked up, but the doctor wanted to see me and will have a room for us when we got there, I let the lady know the doctor wanted to see us. 15 minutes later, they brought my dog out and said we are good to go. I said the doctor said he needed to see us, she went back to check. 5 minutes later, she said, nope you are good to go. The lady at the front desk said I can see everything in the app, but when I got home to look, it’s just an invoice. I don’t know what they said about his ear, or anything else. Other than Bob and Edna being very friendly, I will NOT be going back to this Banfield. Very disappointing.
