I made an appointment for 2:30pm 1/9/24. This would be my new rescued 1yr old cat, Sweet Tea, first vet appointment with me. She already had all shots etc., but she needed to have an established vet of her own. After filling out basic forms, I turned them in and was told I could leave my cat there because “all rooms were full.” I explained there was no way I was leaving my just rescued cat, that we only had for 3 weeks, there without me. The receptionist said, “this is the way we do it.” I reiterated that unless it was surgery, I was not just dropping off my cat and leaving her until they called me. The receptionist said, “Then I guess you’ll have to take her somewhere else.” Yup, sure will! I have never heard of a vet making individual appointments for basic assessments or minor treatments, only to be told to leave your pet and walk away for an undetermined amount of time! I want to be there with my pet to ensure she’s being treated right, and not caged among other cats and dogs. For a rescue that could be especially traumatizing. It’s like, hey, just drop off your toddler, and we’ll call you when we’re done. No way! If you really love your pet I don’t recommend this office. I will definitely be looking elsewhere.

I’ve been coming to this location for years and recently the last year they started to not care anymore. I order nail trims & they say it’s done over the phone then when I get there they say “he wouldn’t let them”. (He’s a sweet dog, not aggressive) Then I took my dog to the Clearwater location 10 days later and found he has degenerative disc disease and his prostate is enlarged, which they didn’t even try to figure out at the largo location. Don’t go to this one if you care about your animals. They keep them for 6 hours & can’t do the proper treatment or diagnosis. Planning on canceling my plan bc of this location.

The staff here is not informative at all. My mother took her pets (signed an agreement for them) & gave her phone number & somehow they put her pets under my name & then they inactivated my pet without any of my consent. They completely changed all my information into my mother’s information , as if I had been erased from my own account. When I called tech support they said the staff should have never done any of that because the agreement was under my name with my pet and my mother should have had her own account made with her pets & they should of never just erased all my information because then it looks like I don’t even own my dog. I called several times about this & they kept telling me the manager there - was out , or they never called me back even though I left messages with the staff there. I finally got a hold of the manager (I had to keep reaching out) & they finally fixed this , they told me they would put my mother’s pets into her own account.. Manager said “i don’t know why they would have done that , they shouldn’t have.. even thought tech support to me it was the manager who signed off on it) NEVER did the manager mention that because of this my mother’s pets would become inactive …NOW my mothers dog is sick & she took him today. thinking they would see him but they said they can’t because his plan is inactive … NEWS TO US. (Isn’t that what the wellness plan is for) Horrible. Their excuse is that in order to place her in her own plan WHICH WAS A MISTAKE THEY MADE TO BEGIN WITH .. they had to inactivate her pets..? Even though they have a signed agreement for both of her pets ALREADY , that they originally placed under my account. This staff makes no sense. The animal cannot see a DR. Because the manager and staff there did something they were not supposed to do to begin with & never advised us that the plans would be canceled.. WE WANT TO PAY , this isn’t a payment issue . This is an issue where the customer stuffers because of the staff. Staff here should be more aware of their policies & advise people of the correct procedures instead of just surprising you. How shameful.

Whoever works the front desk confirming appointments is absolutely horrendous at her job. Now have gone through 3 different appointments for a new patient when they expect you to just drop your pet off and sit in a kennel because they are understaffed and overbooked rather than sit with the vet tech like a normal appointment, so don’t bring your pet here unless you want them to just sit until quote “They can get to your pet” Update: the clinic manager calls me to then assert their policies of being a drop off clinic even though the receptionist who booked the appointment stated I would be able to be with my pet. What pet hospital actually makes a drop off policy and can leave pets sitting in a kennel? Not one any should go to plus the manager should be fired along with the receptionist staff.

Update: I already writed to the email before they writed me this answer that mean there is just an automatic answer and they did not even look on my profile. Please read !!!! what happened to me so you can prevent it from happening to you. I went to Bandfield Hospital just once, just 4 days ago, and the care was very good, although the wait is quite long. At the beginning, I marked on a document the services I wanted and before seeing the doctor, they informed me that the charge would be 150. Once I returned for my puppy, the doctor showed me the document again asking me if I wanted an ear cleaning or a nail clipping and something for fleas. I only agreed to the preventative medication for fleas, so the charge increased to 170 in total. Then she told me that I had to come back in 15 days and that the payment would be approximately the same. They charge only for the visit, 74 usd. Then she presented me with a medical plan that includes a surgery to prevent my puppy from getting pregnant and the preventative medications for 90 usd a month. I had 4 days to cancel without any cancellation fee. for applying to the plan the payment for that day instead of 170 was 180 that I paid in cash that day, on a tablet at the checkout they tell you to electronically sign something that seemed to be the receipt and then after they charge you everything they ask you if you want the printed documents to which I agreed, they gave me several documents, I emphasize after having charged me and signed the tablet with the information they gave me verbally. Once I left there a friend recommended a clinic that is close to my house and the wait times are shorter also it is not mandatory to leave the puppy alone and you can be with him all the time plus I decided to go to this new clinic and therefore the plan is no good to me. I thought it would not be a problem because I have 4 days to cancel and my payment for that day was going to be 10 dollars less than what I ended up paying with the plan. When I called to cancel, in addition to a 40-minute wait on the phone, they told me that I had to pay $200 to cancel because they did more tests that day without telling me that they had an additional cost and without telling me what tests they were doing. I asked the hospital manager to please check the cameras so that she could see that everything I said was true and confirm what happened and the answer was that they don't have cameras and that they had my signature, a signature that I could sign on a tablet without reading anything and that I thought was just the receipt. Therefore, they give you false information and it seems illogical to me to have to pay a total of almost $400 please, it's practically a scam. The truth is I'm desperate and it seems unbelievable that they can trick someone into selling a plan with false information and then want to charge so much money for supposed tests that they did without informing me of anything. Now i just called the phone number they provided for inquires and i was really worry becase today is my last day to cancell with no fee so i called and request to they put a note on my file because i am waiting on the hospital answer and they said the hospital has 3 to 5 days to answer and she can no put any notes on my file to proof that i was requesting the cancelation in my 4 days so they wanted to used the time i am waiting on the hospital answer to also charge the cancelation fee. Everything here is a scam please stay away this is really sad
