Terrible Service and Unacceptable Wait Times at this Banfield in Sterling. If I could give 0 stars I would with no hesitation. I always have one of the worst experiences at this location, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who actually cares about their pet’s well-being. I had an appointment scheduled for 12:00, yet my dog and I ended up waiting for over 30 minutes in the waiting room with no explanation. Despite the long delays, the staff showed no concern whatsoever. When I approached the front desk to ask for an update, I was met with nothing but attitude. The receptionists were dismissive and rude, acting as if I was bothering them for simply wanting to know why my scheduled appointment was being ignored. Instead of apologizing or offering an update, they brushed me off with a short, condescending response. After waiting far too long, we were finally called in—only to be placed in an exam room where we waited even longer. The complete lack of professionalism, compassion, and respect for clients’ time is unacceptable. If you value good service and want your pet to be treated with care, do yourself a favor and find another Banfield location I will never be coming back to this location.

As I’m typing this review, we have been waiting for 50+ minutes for my dog’s lab to come back. This morning we called as my dog is having diarrhea and they told us she can be seen at 9am as a drop off. When we got there at 9am, they said they couldn’t see us (WHAT lol) and that we need to come back at 2pm instead. Well, now it’s almost 3pm and I’m still waiting! Oh and they wanted to sell me $300+ worth of tests that are unwarranted (I have 2 dogs so I’m not clueless of dogs). As I’m waiting here, I just heard someone trying to drop off their dog for their appointment at the receptionist and was told “hmm I’m not see XXX on the schedule today”. Seriously, get your stuff together!! Needless to say I will NOT be returning. EDIT - they just charged me for a test that I did NOT authorize for. Please avoid this place at all costs, folks…

Terrible place. I went there because my dog was diagnosed with an abscess. They wanted to charge me $1550 to treat her. No other option. When I said no, they gave me an option to either pay out of pocket $550 for the consultation or enroll in a monthly plan for one year that covers only vaccines and pay $220 for the consultation. You kind of have no choice if you’re on a budget. They will squeeze you for money, or even try to help you finding affordable sources to treat your dog. Go to your local vet. Stay away from Banfield, they will treat you like a number. If I could give zero stars I would.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place specifically only cares about how much money they can take from you and nothing else. Zero empathy towards pet owners and concerns. I called to make a same day appointment for my 7mnth old puppy that is lethargic and has a reduced appetite with diarrhea. The first girl that answered the phone HANGED UP on me and the Second Lady that “helped” me Literally told me they weren’t an ER clinic and that her doctor already has 32 pets to look after and can’t see my puppy and I would be better of calling a different clinic And guess what I would be doing I will be definitely taking my money my business and my puppy somewhere else that CARES! Please avoid this place!
