Very inconsiderate. I scheduled my dogs teeth extractions a month or so ago via call, her appointment was confirmed Monday May 19th and on Thursday May 21st I received a call less than 24hrs before her appointment that it was cancelled. I took off time for my dog to help her recover and that time is now wasted in less than 24hrs. I’ve been going to this location since she was a puppy and haven’t had an issue until now. The next available day that would work with my schedule would be in July two months later. While I understand they cannot see other locations schedules and schedule for other locations, I do wish they had called around so this time is not wasted for my dog or me. This is why I have given 1 star.

Welcome to Banfield Pet Hospital

Welcome to Banfield Pet Hospital, located at 777 S Willow St, Manchester, NH 03103, USA. As a national network of veterinary hospitals, Banfield Pet Hospital aims to provide a range of veterinary services for pets in various locations, including this facility in Manchester, New Hampshire. Banfield Pet Hospital offers a variety of pet healthcare services, often emphasizing wellness plans to provide comprehensive and ongoing care for your animal companions.

Based on the recent customer reviews available online, experiences at the Banfield Pet Hospital in Manchester, NH, appear to be significantly negative, primarily concerning appointment scheduling and customer service. One pet owner recounts scheduling their dog's teeth extractions a month in advance, receiving confirmation, and then having the appointment canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time. This cancellation resulted in wasted time off work for the owner and a two-month delay for the necessary procedure, leading to considerable frustration and a one-star rating. The reviewer also expressed a desire for the clinic to have explored alternative scheduling options at other locations within the Banfield network, even though they understood the limitations.

Another customer describes their interaction with the Banfield Pet Hospital in Manchester as "the most unprofessional and unpleasant veterinary office" they have ever encountered. This detailed review outlines a problematic experience involving appointment confirmation and communication. The customer scheduled an appointment and indicated a preference for text communication. Despite receiving a confirmation request via text and responding promptly, their appointment was allegedly canceled due to a perceived failure to follow the clinic's confirmation protocol based on a single missed phone call while driving. Attempts to reschedule and clarify the situation were met with what the reviewer describes as rude and dismissive behavior from the reception staff, including being told they were "wasting everyone's time" and being hung up on multiple times when trying to speak to a manager. This experience led the reviewer to strongly recommend avoiding this particular Banfield location and to seek veterinary care elsewhere, noting that an urgent care vet they subsequently visited had also received numerous complaints about the unprofessional behavior at this Banfield office.

Given these two recent and highly negative reviews, it is challenging to provide a positive overview of the environment, services, and features of this specific Banfield Pet Hospital location based solely on this feedback. The recurring themes of poor communication, last-minute appointment cancellations, rigid and poorly explained protocols, and unprofessional customer service from the reception staff raise significant concerns about the operational efficiency and client relations at this particular facility.

As part of a national chain, Banfield Pet Hospitals typically offer a standardized range of veterinary services. These generally include routine wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention, microchipping, dental care, nutritional counseling, and behavioral advice. Many Banfield locations also offer surgical services, such as spaying and neutering, as well as treatment for various illnesses and injuries. A key feature of Banfield is their emphasis on "Optimum Wellness Plans," which are subscription-based packages designed to provide proactive and affordable preventative care for pets.

However, the negative reviews provided do not offer any insight into the specific environment of the Manchester location, the quality of the veterinary medical care provided by the veterinarians and veterinary technicians, or any unique features that might be specific to this hospital. The focus of the feedback is overwhelmingly on the negative experiences with scheduling and front office staff interactions.

Similarly, there is no mention of any promotional information in the provided reviews. Banfield Pet Hospital as a national brand may offer various promotions or discounts from time to time, particularly for new clients or for enrolling in their wellness plans. However, it is essential to inquire directly with the Manchester location about any current promotional offers, keeping in mind the reported issues with communication and customer service.

In conclusion, the Banfield Pet Hospital located at 777 S Willow St, Manchester, NH, has received recent negative feedback concerning appointment scheduling and unprofessional customer service from the reception staff. One customer experienced a last-minute cancellation of a scheduled surgery, while another detailed a frustrating and ultimately unsuccessful attempt to confirm and reschedule an appointment, citing rude and dismissive behavior from the front office. While Banfield as a national chain typically offers a standard range of veterinary services and wellness plans, these negative reviews provide limited insight into the quality of medical care or the environment of this specific Manchester location. Local users considering this Pet Hospital should be aware of these recent experiences and may want to weigh them against the potential convenience and range of services offered by a national network. It would be prudent to seek further information directly from the clinic regarding their current practices and protocols.

This is the most unprofessional and unpleasant veterinary office I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with. I scheduled a vet appt on Friday around 2pm for Monday afternoon at 3:30pm. I indicated at 3 different selections to text me for communication. At 9:15am Sat morning while I am driving I get a call from Banfield and I don't answer as I'm driving, they leave a voicemail. This is my FIRST and ONLY call. About 10 mins later I get a text with a confirmation request for my appt. As I had just arrived at my location I shoot off the confirmation text and go about my errands. About an hour later I listen to the voicemail left for me by Banfield saying they had cancelled my appt for failing to confirm my appt. Thinking this was an error I immediately call and ask for my appt to be rescheduled since they incorrectly cancelled my appt. The reception told me I was wasting everyone's time since I didn't follow their protocol for confirming appts. I told her I responded via text and that they had already technically cancelled my appt after ONE failed call. She told me that wasn't correct they had called Friday at NOON (before I scheduled my appt) and this was the 3rd attempt ar confirmation so I was rightly cancelled. I tried to explain that I never received a call before the cancellation voicemail and she told me to stop talking. That if I shut up she could explain the protocol again. I told her not to speak to me that way, she wasn't listening when I said I never received two calls. She told me to shut up again or she would hang up because I wasn't listening. I asked to speak with a manager and she hung up on me. I tried calling back 6x and 2x I got the woman again and she hung up on me. I left a voicemail requesting a call back and have gotten no response. My dog probably has kennel cough, I was trying to get him into a non emergency vet for an appt before I could get him into his normal vets office (next available appt there is in 2 weeks). Thankfully I don't need to relay on this place for veterinary care but I'd suggest going literally anywhere else. I ended up at an Urgent vet and they told me they have had NUMEROUS patients complain about the unprofessional behavior at Banfield and they recommended ppl avoid that office.

My husband and I bought our 18 year old cat to the Manchester NH Banfield last night to be euthanized due to old age and concerns we had about her comfort. The care and kindness we received was much appreciated. The doctor assessed her and put our minds at ease that we were making the right choice in putting her to sleep during a better day under her and our conditions rather than waiting for a traumatic illness or injury. They were so compassionate and allowed us as little or more time as we needed, as well as the choice to be present or not. We chose to be present and Liberty’s transition was a very peaceful one. We appreciate the care, the process and the fair price for the outstanding service we received. We are heartbroken today, but are comforted with the way she passed so peacefully. Thank you!

Emma has been with Banfield since she was 8 weeks old born Feb 13 2009 She passed away Thursday 4 18 2024 at 11 pm I miss her so much! I believe if she didn't have this pet insurance I wouldn't of been able to keep her alive for 15 years she had a heart murmur among other issues that come out while aging but they did an amazing job helping me keep her alive longer. Yes if and when I decide to get another pet I will definitely be calling Banfield again. Thank the Manchester and Nashua (where she started out) team for helping me with her
